- What is a Subject and Predicate?
Every complete sentence is made of two parts:
(1) A person or thing that is being discussed, described, or dealt with; and
(2) Say something about that person or thing.
The part of the sentence which tells what or who the sentence is about is called Subject. and
The part of the sentence which tells what is being said about the subject is called Predicate.
What is an Object ?
It is the part of the predicate in the sentence. It receives the action done by the subject.
The object can be a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase.
Objects can be of two types: direct object and indirect object.
The direct object is a noun that receives the action directly from the subject.
Indirect object: is a noun that receives the action through the direct object and not directly.

2. Mother gifted me a bicycle.
3. Vijay cooked food for friends.
