This song is JK’s. It wasn’t produced by Usher and Usher had nothing to do with the choreography. This song is an homage to MJ, and Usher jumped on it after the fact.
This is just the remix version with Usher. He did not produce it. The original version is the title track of Jungkook's solo album but I heard that this remix version will be included in Usher's upcoming album as well. None of the BTS members have completed their military service. It's true that they planned to go in 2020 but covid happened. They only start enlisting Dec2022 with Jin and the rest follow accordingly after completed their solo schedule. Currently all members are on the military. Won't see all of them perform until June2025.
Well, a few people vehemently explained that Usher came to the table after the song, SNTY became a hit solo single for Jungkook. As soon as people listened to the original version names of R&B heavyweights began to fly. MJ was always the first, but he's no longer with us so Usher, Bruno Mars and the Weekend were mentioned next. We know who won the, "collab with Jungkook," toss-up. I prefer the original, prayed that Usher wouldn't mess up the remix and was pleasantly surprised at how well these men meshed. It seemed like both we're enjoying the heck out of this performance, which is icing on the cake. I hope you will listen to Jungkook's debut album, Golden, and share a few of your favorites with us. He's done 3ish MV's for the album: Seven, 3D and Standing Next To You, plus a visualizer for the b-side Hate You. All worth a looksey. Thanks for the reaction.
I actually gasped when you said you've only seen one BTS group video, lol They're so versatile in their styles, it takes about twenty different songs to really get a hold of it. :) Maybe check out Fake Love, Mic Drop, and On Kinetic Manifesto?
@@EverRoxas damn y’all are so bitter when it comes to bts 😭 i think they just mean bc he has been reacting to the members solo stuff for months now that its shocking he hasn’t heard more group stuff
Usher didn't produce this song. It was a remix of a song from Jungkook's debut album. It's the title track. And the remix was done after he released the original song. It was produced by Western Grammy winning producers though. I believe that Usher wrote his own verse. And the remix will be released on his upcoming album. And the choreography was Jungkook's original choreography, but BTS and the dance line are know to be highly influenced by Michael Jackson, and they have done dance covers of MJ's songs, and you can see the influence in their choreographies and dance styles. Jung Kook - Live at TSX, Times Square - ua-cam.com/users/livegeHuX7E3NX8?feature=share Jungkook and all the BTS members are serving their mandatory military service right now, so their won't be a super bowl performance, at least not until after they are all back in June of 2025. Jungkook's solo debut was the final members' solo debut before the last four members enlisted together on December 11, and 12, 2023. So they will be back in June of 2025.
Great reaction! Remember Usher just finished his successful Las Vegas residency! You need to check out one of his Las Vegas shows on UA-cam…fantastic! Jungkook is always AMAZING!!! ❤
Usher was not involved with the production of this song in any way whatsoever, except to have a hand in writing his verse on this remix. This is one of the songs off of Jungkook's solo debut album Golden and was heavily influenced by Michael Jackson. Usher has been a big influence on Jungkook which is why he was asked to feature on this remix of the original. The original MV of this song is definitely worth reacting to as well.
Please watch the original MV for Standing Next to You =D Jungkook's solo album Golden is all in English and he showcases all the genres of music he wanted to do and he did it so well!
Thank you for your reaction to Jungkook(JK) !! The copy that I watched is not the original song it is cooperation with Usher It is a great song and JK has made a high effort in it and it is part of his album called Golden All the album contains English songs It is his first solo album because he worked with all the band, which is BTS for 10 years. I love JK very much he is a wonderful person very talented he is good at dancing and rap and cooking and all the mathematics and he also has a golden voice 💯💜 Also Usher was so cool in this video!! I totally agree with you regarding Usher doing this collaboration with Jung Kook is fire. They both do their own style but together this is outrageous. Saw Usher many times in concert and can’t say enough about the man . Jung Kook also a majorly influenced by Usher and the late MJ as you can see in choreography. I grew up with Usher and also watched Jung Kook ( lead singer for BTS K-pop at the time) grow immensely. Can’t wait to see Superbowl on February 11th with Usher singing Jung Kooks song ( if Jung Kook wasn’t doing service for his Country Korea you know he would be doing this song with Usher at Superbowl) . I look at an honor Usher is doing the song. It’s totally fire , btw the dancers have worked with many artists, 2 in particular ( I can’t remember their names but one is of dark skin and other is of white skin, both extremely handsome). All the dancers are amazing and as a former competitor dancer and choreographer ( now a Critical Care Nurse Which our unit gets very intense!!! I put music on during our break and my colleagues lol call me the music lady, even the Nurses who are ready to retire)! I show them dancing and when this song came out ( many of all ages know Usher and the younger colleagues know BTS with JK , showed them this video on our computer and the smiles , some were jamming. Point is it regroups us but music in general does that to many of us. Thank God my father taught us all genres of music ( RIP daddy).❤️👠💃🙏🎶❤️ N.Y. Nurse, Jennifer ❤️
71 year old BTS Army here. I suggest you react to the original MV. The original track is totally late '70s, early 80's Retro disco funk and was announced as a subtle homage to MJ. It was a huge hit before Usher's remix. This song was his third mega hit after "Seven Feat Latto" and "3D Feat Jack Harlow". All are from his album GOLDEN Just so you know, none of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. The original MV track for this song, however, is filmed at an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. This Usher remix is filmed in L.A. His self professed dream of being a giant pop star has clearly begun in a big way! BTW, there are now at least 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version. He recently performed 5 songs at the TSX stage in Times Square, NYC. JK is only the 2nd artist ever invited to perform there besides Post Malone and PDiddy. The Usher Remix Performance Video of this song is ICONIC and a dream come true for JK. JK's solo achievements are the biggest of the BTS group. ALL of BTS members are in the military now for 18 months as of Dec.12 including Jung Kook. JK's solo album "Golden" is over to 2 billion streams now since Nov. 2. FYI, the American team of Grammy winner Andrew Watt and Cirkut wrote and produced this song in Watt's studio in L.A. They also wrote and produced his first mega hit "SEVEN Feat Latto". Thank you for your reaction.
Totally agree with everything you said. I grew up listening to Usher and this collaboration is amazing of them together. Also the song 3D featuring Justin Timberlake is a dream come true for Jung Kook ( but Usher and the late MJ are his true mentors). Such an amazing collaboration of an iconic singer and Jung Kook is reaching the level of an icon). So pleased you wrote everything you did because it’s all truth be told. N.Y. @ZootyReacts . I’ve seen Usher Raymond IV in concert several times. The man is fire and so Underrated. His idols were many growing up from Jazz, Gospel, and MJ . Jung Kooks Mentor’s were , MJ and USHER. This collaboration of the two is fire. Usher does have an album coming out in February ( first album in a long time). Thank you for reacting to Jungkook's Standing Next to You featuring Usher. I do hope Usher at least dances to Standing Next to You during halftime of the Super Bowl! Our thoughts and prayers are with all members of BTS as they fulfill their mandatory military service. I think you would enjoy Jungkook's LIVE pop up concert at TSX Times Square, New York where he sings a few of his hits from his ALL English album Golden. BTS will reunite in 2025, and all members released solo work before they left for the military. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love that they did this collab and appreciate Usher being in the video and helping one of Jung Kook's dreams to come true - i kinda like the original version slightly better but that could just be me - the MV is very good if you'd like to check it out as well. Appreciate the reaction.
Actually, it had the MJ feel. The track was released weeks before the remix and got quite a bit of traction. Lots of people were calling it an MJ homage. Usher became a natural to do a remix as he is managed by Scooter Braun, CEO of HYBE America. Jungkook is managed by parent company HYBE which evolved from a one artist (BTS) small company into Korea's most profitable and was able to buy Scooter Braun's putting him in charge of American operations. Scooter's staff presented Jungkook with a number of English language tracks to choose for an album. I think Standing Next to You was intended to be a solo song but Scooter decided to have Usher an MJ aficionado collab as the original popped so much, Usher has added the remix to his upcoming album.
BTS have all enlisted, and they will be back as a group in 2025. JIN was the first to enlist December 13, 2022. Then J-Hope on April 18, 2023. SUGA went on a World Tour and enlisted on September 22, 2023, and all the rest of the 4 member members enlisted in December. RM, V, on the 11th, and JIMIN and JUNGKOOK on the 12th. They all 7 renewed their contracts with Big Hit Music before enlisting, and they look forward to coming back as a group in 2025. Before enlisting, all seven of them released solo work, so they could grow as artists before having to serve their country for 18 months. JIN is the only one that just released a solo single, and he has stated how he wants to release a full album when he is back from his service, on June 12, 2024. Then J-Hope will be discharged on October 17, 2024. And they have planned content releases for us while they are in the Military. So we hopefully will not miss them too much, until all seven are again reunited by June 21, 2025. In the meantime, they have over 10 years of music for you to check out. 😉 with over 400 songs to check out from their Group work, solo projects, OST's, collaborations, and covers. This is explained as BTS's Chapter 1. Chapter 2 will come later, after all the members have been released from service. And I think one tells their story the best for those that want to know their full discography, and how they got together as a group. *The second one by Taylor Mari,* tells their story by introducing you to their acheivements in an overview in the beginning, then taking you through a brief synopsis of their journey. Then you get a personal breakdown of each member, and their talents and roles within the group. Then she explains ARMY (BTS fanbase), and BTS's relationship with ARMY, and the impact they have had together and on the world. It's a beautiful story. *The third one by Rice Squad,* tells you their story chronologically, and goes briefly over their story, and each era and album, as well as highlighting their achievements. I this one is good, but misses more of the personality and connection between BTS and ARMY. I would recommend that you react to #'s 1 and 2, and at a later date maybe 3. That's my personal preference. But if you are only going to watch one, i'd do the Boracity Magazine one, because if covers so much more, and I learned so much from that one, and I've been an ARMY for a number of years.
