My filters look a bit different from these. These seem to be just flimsy pieces of foam. Mine are on a semi rigid wire mesh/ plastic cartridge thing. Guess it doesnt matter. As soon as i pulled them out and cleaned them...boom, instant blasting COLD air.

My 2023 Cascadia came without the engine located cab filter & the sliding access door! Any idea what the part # for the sliding plastic door is? I’m leasing from SFI and they haven’t a clue about part numbers. I guess I could call Freightliner but they usually don’t like to give part numbers out. I’d like to order mine online.

I good indicator that you need to wash and replace your filters is stuffy nose coughing and cold like symptoms…also if you see a lot of dust particles in the air with all the lights off in the sleeper and just your reading led light lamp on you can watch just in front of the light at an angle and see dust flying by …also after replacing filters clean and wipe everything down inside and out the best you can inside the cabin open up the emergency hatch door and both driver and passenger and if you have a air hose hooked into the seat air …blow the fuck out of the place …it works !!!!!

I would like to see a video posted of someone cleaning a condenser coil in the sleeper bunk, they are a real task to get to..
Yeah, unfortunately I think the best way would be to actually remove it. You could clean it still in the truck, but not as well, and you'd need a shop vac running in there to catch all the debris flying out, as well as a pretty custom air blow gun that can get in there.

Dose 2017 n older has that filter in the dash too?
I see one in the back for the sleeper
I haven’t had the passenger dash panel off on a 2017 or older in a while so I can’t remember for sure, but the service manual we use says there is one in the dash somewhere. It says it’s located down on the passenger side by the A/C evaporator and can be reached from the underside. That filter might be more of a spongey looking filter instead of a paper one.

Is it best to replace them every year?
It depends on how fast they get dirty, some people may have to change them sooner, but I would say yes once a year to stay on top of it.
Part #s went too fast can you list them?
Just pause the video or play it at .25 speed lol. I also have links to the filters in the video description and I did just add the part numbers just in case.

Good video. Went to Love's and got my PM. I asked them to check the cabin filters and they told me there is only 1 filter located in the engine compartment. My terminal told me there are 2 and the other is located on passenger side in the cab. Nobody knew about the 3rd filter located in the sleeper but it makes sense. Glad I watched this filter. Now just hoping that Love's has all 3 in stock.

@@jamesrevell6475 The 2 inside ones should be the same part number (even if they aren't, the same filter works in both positions), so you should be good so long as they have that style.
@@TonyTheTruckGuy That's good to know. After watching this video I checked the sleeper cab filter and it was disgusting. It's never been changed since I got the truck new in 2020 and I'm a heavy smoker. I noticed it was of the same material as the passenger side filter but did not measure it to be sure. Now I know and will be changing it ASAP.
@@jamesrevell6475 Yeah I don’t have any actual science behind any air quality tests but when you see how some of them filters look you instantly feel better knowing you have clean ones now 😂
FYI …look how much dust is flying around during his video …my dodge has a life time filter system …these new vehicles all have cabin filters ….WTF???? Are we going backwards in time? Truly we can do better? But for now change them out for sure or sleep with one nostril as you role over all night especially on a team run
A lot of vehicles don’t even have a cabin filter haha
Save some money and have the old lady put it in the warsher
