Nice to see that the interviewer did his homework. Also, the lights made Matthias' eyes look particularly pretty when he did his "stare straight through the camera and into your soul" thing.
I have watched all interviews with Hatari, but I think this was definitely the best. You tried to ask trickier (and finally different) questions, but they have the answer for everything. Geniuses! :D
irreal_laerri the younger generations are getting better and better! It’s actually funny with all the tourism that we receive but we have been 40 long years isolated from the World while everyone else was developing. Also, the public education in Spain is not eficient.

I absolutly love their music and art. But their weirdly mashed -up anti-iraelic and anti-capitalistic dumb sterotypical critisism is pure bullshit. As far as I know they are coming from wealthy families. If their crisitic was true, they would spend ALL income they earn with music and eurovision to poorer people instead of asking others to do so and only blablabla at every interview. Getting a lot of money is absolutly okay and right. The always ongoing childish teenage talking makes their art smaller and less attractive. Their eurovison message becomes narrow and needless.
In another interview they said that being truly anticapitalistic would be hypocracy as we are born into the system and live within the system. That doesn't mean there are no downsides to capitalism and there is nothing wrong with pointing that out. If you live in a western country you should be aware how too many people measure their self-worth by what they own and how they look like. I'm guilty of that to some extent myselt. Those who make a living selling us stuff need us to feel inadiquate the way we are. That is how they create a market for their product. Chasing material things doesn't give life meaning and may make you feel empty inside which is very much in line with their lyrics. Giving away all of their income is not necessary in order to raise awareness to how we live and remind us to live a life of meaning. That said, I think this song is about other things as well. Not just capitalism.
@@r.bj.2427 I can't see any downside of being playfull with what you want to look like. Some like raw black outfits as Hatari some like smooth and clean stuff. Maybe they should just focus on what they want and not what they don't want using stereotypes about the so called capitalism.

What a surprise to see one of their interviews! I love them! The only thing I was confused about was that I don't get why the interviewer doesn't ask the rest. Just that! 😍
I know that they have artistic personas that don't portray what they look like on a daily basis but I wonder if the revolutionary idealism is a shade of the characters or if they really believe that. I hope they do.
A. Szokell our language is very strong in pronounce, and we don’t like to use American or English accent. It is not authentic and we are so proud to be from Iceland. But most people think we are from Germany, Finland or Netherland, our English accent is similar as theirs 😊

Really cool to see such a great song at this year's esc and that brave and simple act of disobedience. I've felt a bit discouraged for the past few weeks, everything seemed futile as I've seen my frends' endeavours fail and my hometown being stripped of the last few alternative culture spots. Music is one of the few things that can snap me out of feeling like that, and the other is seeing someone stand up and do something about something, and it never ceases to amaze and surprise to see someone using events like that for something more than mere self-promotion. So thanks guys for this rush of fresh blood and will to carry on doing what I can, and try again if it fails and SMASH FUCKING CAPITALISM TO THE GROUND \m/
I have no doubt they're pulling our leg with the "let's bring capitalism down" speech. I don't know how they didn't burst out laughing during the interview.
I think they have it all well rehearsed. A couple of times they seem to be dying to burst out laughing, but they keep a straight face throughout. I just love them.

The strength and the weapons of Israel come directly from the USA. However no-one wants to boycott the States, on the contrary Europe's been embracing American culture for ages and nowadays what Europeans consume are the very same things Americans consume. This anti-capitalist talk wouldn't be sad if we Europeans had chosen to live differently, but just look at ESC, 90% of the songs are sung in English. Not the case of Iceland or Portugal, but Europeans seem to stick to English and forget about their own original culture and language.
