Freelancing is so hard. When I first graduated uni, I worked as a freelance translator/editor, because that was pretty much the only work that I could find. Had some pretty interesting experiences, but maaaan is it rough. Network, network, network. That's pretty much the only way that anyone can get any type of stable work as a freelancer (I guess this is true for anyone in this day and age). (Also, I'm interested in seeing your outline process, too.) So, wait, you can just...listen to whatever you want while writing, regardless of vibe, genre, etc? That is just too powerful. You have to teach me your ways.
Kelley, loved the Q&A, just thought it was important to let you know that you should be just as scared, if not more scared, of hippos as you are of komodo dragons. Those bois are beautiful as babies but they grow up to be the angriest, most violent creatures on the planet that massacre humans indiscriminately. And it's not even because they want to eat you, they just want you to stop being alive. Still not as dangerous as the Highland Cows tho, plz pray for me Kelley.
