Yes, The War of Art and also Art and Fear. Sometimes it helps. The only thing that works for me is, just freaking pick up the paintbrush. You're never going to "be ready". Stop waiting for inspiration to strike. Just pick up the paintbrush. It doesn't always work, but I know this is required. Oh my gosh you are so right about the value of an art community and art spaces. Also, that inspiration board was really great.

Not my style but important notices
I need a push, I can illustrate to a decent level from my imagination.
Surreal art just feels right, I can see my work in paint, in wonderful colour, yet I'm just scared of it to be honest.
Like you said, maybe I need an art family, I've lost a bit of love for the process.
