I am a 28-year-old knitter and you’re absolutely right. I go to a sip n’ stitch at my local yarn store and 70% of the people are in their 20s! It’s so cool that knitting and crochet and making is making a resurgence with our generation ❤❤❤❤❤ I love your vibe and just subscribed! If you’re interested in American knit podcasters, I’d recommend Knitty Natty, Tiffany Liew, Well Loved Knits (American in Belgium), and Mel Makes Stuff (super inspiring and informative!)

I loved all the yarn extravaganza! I am in my 30 now and have been knitting since my 15 and as a coincidence all my roommates and colleagues from work were knitting or crocheting, personally i see it as a relaxing method more than a grandmother activity

I loveeee the chestnut. Im partway through making the BFF tee in just a fingering weight chestnut color wool. The tiny gauge is a commitment . Not me knitting half of two different fingering weight orangy sweaters and then losing steam because the gauge is so small.
Also - I have 4 coworkers ages 25-35. All of them knit or crochet! I think its totally having a comeback
haha I can totally relate to loving the color so much that I'm using it for 2 projects but then losing steam and having nothing to wear in the color I love 🙃 that's so great that you have so many people around you who knit!
I laugh so hard when people are like “oh this is the only yarn I use now” and yeah it’s like $30+ a skein. Like good for you but I’m broke 🤣🤣 I can’t wait to see those two projects you’re planning. I have heard though that nonsuperwash is better for colorwork because it’s “sticky” so the stitches cling together. I have yet to try colorwork, but that sweater looks gorgeous!
right?! $30/skein is like $240/sweater... I'm excited to try colorwork using cascade 220 - I've heard its great! I've also never done colorwork so we'll see how it goes

I have to say I am usually a quiet viewer of any youtuber, but I can't stay quiet with you. YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS AND I RELATE SO MUCH IN EVERYTHING YOU SAY! You came across my recommended list and I’m glad it did! I just started knitting last September after knee surgery and I’m still struggling to finish a pair of socks I started. But you give me confidence to keep going!
yay! I'm so glad you found my channel :) definitely keep going! Or, if you lost the sock mojo there are tons of other things to make. People told me to make scarves as a beginner but I didn't want a scarf, I wanted a sweater. Being invested in the final object gives me more motivation to finish things

Really loved the video! Great content, I just wish you had a lapel microphone or something so the audio quality would be a bit better (I am hard of hearing and the electronic distorsion was a bit difficult to deal with in this one)

I think you could be a Summer that does well with higher saturated colours and more contrast. The pinks you showed looked all pretty cool to me and suited you really well, and the burgundy is cool as well. The rust definitely is not cool, but again has the high saturation. I just think your hair is a lovely shade of dark chocolate that pairs well with cool tones, but it's always a bit difficult to tell via screen.
hmmm much to think about - thanks for your input! I just don't gravitate towards cool toned clothing but maybe I should try it out
@@alexjames_fiber I mean, even if you were a summer, there's no reason to wear cool-toned clothing if you just do not like it! I'm a spring and wear clothes outside "my" season as well, no colour police has arrested me yet.

yay! I've tried out the Chaigoo needles and can say I am in love. I wish I'd known before buying my other set haha
i hope you end up liking the cascade 220!!! 🤍 and i definitely feel you, i basically never see any of the european yarns a lot of people recommend online at any yarn stores near me haha
