Definitely true, makes me feel's like i'm actually watching an anime cartoon fighting scene, without the sexual stuff, especially with the wizard and Swordsman classes
@@Aquin94 it sounds like some kind of anime heroics just kicked in and you're gonna pulverize that dumb baby squid into the ground for daring to cross you
I watched a friend stream this months ago and I *still* can't get over how good the entire soundtrack is but this song specifically has been in my head non-stop.
You're on the second to last floor in Worse Than a Curse. You're only one battle away from reaching max level, and the only remaining enemy is a Singer, and she's blocking the way to the boss. This track kicks in, signifying how screwed you are.
Just the strength of the bassline on this one means I always take a longer time on fights with this track. Thumpathumpathumpathumpathumpathumpa, all the while the unique stings and instruments remind you this isn't just EDM, this is gold. I could damn near rave to this.
This jam slams. Like others said, the build-up to and riff/chorus at 1:20 is oozing nostalgia. Really pulling me back to NES/SNES games, hell even more recent games like Everhood. Super catchy, up-beat and DRIVING. Really a head-bobber.
You can tell it's the best track in the game by the absurd number of hits the track has in comparison to the rest in the playlist. It's just too perfect.
Dicey dungeons has some awesome tracks man. This might be the best music ive heard come out an indie game. Reminds me of classic games which is a big compliment
This track is what made me want to know who produced the music for this song. When I learned that the ost was made by Chipzel, my mind exploded. THAT"S why it slaps so much!!! Anyways, this is by far the best track in the game. Glad to see your comeback! 💜💜💜
i just started playing. i had "tempting fate" stuck in my head all day. i listened to this whole song before i realized i was thinking of a different one. man this game slaps.
I'd like for somebody to figure out the sheet music for this song and give this to an actual band, complete with drums, bass, trumpet, keyboards. This banger is 160BPM madness, but some acoustic band could pull it off. Ace Waters? The Minibosses?
Completely agree! I was enjoying the game, but when this song hits at the 1:20 mark it was just elavated to a whole new level. Perfect song to put on the last level/stage before the boss - especially the first time you reach the area and you are feeling the challenge.
It's so weird playing this game back to back with Just Shapes and Beats. Not only does it also feature ya girl chipzel, but my brain expects to have to dodge out of the way of pink shit when awesome music like this plays. Edit: Spelling
1:57 is my fav part, ik its kind of a nice transition part to the version with the goofy sax, but I always feel like i'm battle floor 4 enemies listening to it

I've stopped playing the game now (final boss was too hard for me to devote anymore time for it...), but I am kinda glad because the song started to lose any emotional impact. But after a month of not playing... this song has me back in the zone at 1:20.

Fun facts! The sax line at 2:22 is sampled from Redline in the song “tv show” at about 1:29 in THAT track. Regardless, both tracks are absolute BOPS.
OH MY GOD YOU'RE RIGHT
seriously that is so niche I can't believe you noticed this -- made my day, well done dude

Nah chief, with lady luck at the helm you are never truly screwed. She can giveth and taketh.
Worse Than A Curse is pretty intense... also makes you actually want to avoid enemies to preserve your precious hit points
Just happened to me today had it all worked out too, but the last enemy right before the boss was a singer
Worse Than a Curse genuinely fucking sucks I’m not gonna lie
Let's face it! The Singer is totally OP!! 😰
The bit at 1:20 is so inspiring. Such a dramatic and descriptive section of the song.
