Thank u for posting Chuck Missler s amazing teachings. This man studied scripture since he was a child. Yet was so humble.. always tells us “ Don’t take Chuck Misslers word for anything but search the scripture for yourself”Blessings to all
The passage's topic sentence is about the day that Jesus comes to gather us to Him (resurrection/rapture). So you would think it would talk about the timing of that later in the passage. But because Day of the Lord (wrath) is translated in verse 2 in modern versions, it only talks about the timing of the Day of the Lord (not the Rapture)--that the Day of the Lord can't come before the falling away and the evelation of A/C. I believe that makes the passage a non sequitur. If Day of the Lord is used, the subject of the Rapture is never returned to again, even though Paul said that was his main topic here. But if Day of Christ is used in verse 2 (based on Textus Receptus), "that Day" is the same throughout the passage. There is only the discussion of the timing of the Rapture (Day of Christ) and the Day of the Lord is not even mentioned in this 2nd case. This passage has never made any sense to me when verse 2 is read Day of the Lord (wrath) instead of Day of Christ (Rapture/resurrection).
This is ridiculous. Paul was clearly trying to get across that the coming of the Lord and our gathering unto him (the day of the Lord) shall not come lest there be a falling away first, the man of sin be revealed, and the abomination of desolation. Paul said himself "let no man deceive you". Don't listen to me or Chuck, read your own Bible for yourself.
@@ReLair88he’s saying that Paul is saying that the gathering together to our Lord and the Day of the Lord (both are mentioned) cannot come before first there is a departure from the faith, the restrainer is removed, the lawless one is revealed, and mass delusion. So I believe Paul is saying that the rapture/DOTL will only happen after all of those things and that the Thessalonians should not be worried that they missed the Rapture which occurs at the DOTL because these other very big and obvious things come first. This lines up perfectly with Matthew 24. Matthew 24 tracks perfectly with the first 6 seals. More specifically Matthew 24:9-24 is event for event what Paul talks about here. Continue reading and the very next thing is the coming of our Lord, just as Paul says. This puts the rapture at the 6th seal. Look for stars falling from heaven in Matthew 24 and the 6th seal…it lines up. Look for Dave Rosenthal’s video “6 proofs of a pre-wrath rapture” under the channel “Zion’s hope”. He explains this view very well.
@@7seasons31 I agree with this new comment of yours. I believe that is exactly what Paul is saying. I think people have made this passage much more difficult that it is--all because they are trying to fit it into their preconceived stance on the timing of the Rapture.
So much double talk going on by the 8:53 mark it's hard to tell what he's actually teaching. However, there is no way they could have or at least should have been, pre-trib. At least not in the way that "the tribulation" is normally defined. That being the entire 70th week of Daniel. Which by the way is a term that man, not God, has used to denote that 7 year period. Why could they or should they not have been pre-trib? See 2Thess 2:5 When Paul was with them he had taught them that the rapture and the start of the Day of the Lord (both events occur on the same day - that is also in this passage) can not happen until the anti-christ is revealed. And how is he revealed? By committing the abomination of desolation which occurs at the mid-point of the 70th week of Daniel. This event kicks off the time of great tribulation that is cut short for the sake of the elect (does not last for the entire 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week), as our Lord taught in Matt 24, by His return and the rapture of the church. Matt 24:30-31 The pre-trib rapture is a lie from the pits of hell.
Chuck Missler is an amazing very learned teacher. He tells us “ Don’t listen to Chuck Missler but search the scriptures for yourselves” There r many “ worldviews” of the 70 th week and rapture… your hermaeutics determine YOUR PERSONAL view. I personally do not fear as God is with us… no matter what view on eschatology u may have. Blessings and love to u brother.
If the answer to the question of your salvation begins with you, then it’s the wrong answer 👹 If you’re worried about the “AntiChrist”, the “mark of the beast” and all that stuff, you’ve got a bigger problem 😱

You need to explain your point more clearly. What exactly are you saying about the timing of events?
