- Download the Manas Patnaik app now: cwcll.on-app.in/app/home?orgC... A point represents a location in space. A point is usually denoted by a dot or a very small circle. A point has a position but no magnitude. In this tutorial we will be taking up four cases :
Case 1: Point in I Quadrant (Above HP and infront of VP
Case 2: Point in II Quadrant (Above HP and behind VP)
Case 3: Point in III Quadrant (Below HP and behind VP)
Case 4: Point in IV Quadrant (Below HP and infront of VP)
Notations:
1. The TV (top view) of any point "A" shall be indicated by a.
2. The FV (front view) of any point "A" shall be indicated by a'.
3. The SV (side view) of any point "A" shall be indicated by a".

This is the best explanation of the quadrant system that i have seen in my life. Back in college it took me a while to understand the concept and today i was searching for something related to cmm when your video showed up. The colours you used to differentiate explaining the video enhances the video making it more clear for the viewer or learner. Knowing about something and explaining it are two entirely different things and man you are perfect in both. I can easily say, you have done your part for the engineering field.
I do not want to show dis respect to you but could not control myself, so just to add a bit, most north american countries have imperial system and use 1st angle projections apart from Canada because they have metric system but have to use both 3rd & 1st angle because of having most of their business with US and rest with other countries. Apart from that 3rd is widely used in almost all countries including big mnc's in india, china, japan, germany, uk, canada, australia, new zealand. I donot want to make guesses about middle east and russia which i do not know.
