- This is the first part of our San Diego road trip. For this trip we decided to treat ourselves to a little Rest and Relaxation. We decided to stay at the San Diego Metro KOA for our first night, for a little bit a "glamping". The great thing about this particular KOA is that they have so many activities for the children. We got to decorate cookies, and t-shirts, we went swimming, Maya got to play in their playground, we also got to enjoy an outdoor movie! If you have kids and enjoy camping, I suggest experiencing a KOA at least once. We hope you enjoy our KOA experience. Stay tuned for part 2, where we spend the day at the San Diego Zoo, do some urban exploration at the historic Chicano Park, and lastly, we finally get to meet one of my Honda Element brothers. You won't want to miss that.

I went to the SD Zoo a long time ago, but don't remember it too much. So looking forward to part 2. Nice road trip!

Hi Fred, I was asking you about putting reflectix in the top of the E Camper for insulation.(?) I saw a video where they were touring a North Star pop up, cab over camper for a pickup. The pop up part is canvas and they said there was a layer of reflectix in it and it was good to sub 0 temps. Interesting, huh? San Diego, my old stomping grounds and favorite city.
