A brave effort but flying in DF is a shadow of BF. Completely agree the AA is horrifically overpowered, and if the occupant is even remotely competent you're toast. The Attack Heli has next to zero prospect of winning against a NB either, it's a massacre. The only way I've been able to have a decent AH run is if my friends are in the LATV AA and responsive to my calls for help when the NB appears (as you say they've got an insane range of 1,000M without damage drop off). No disrespect at all to your video, in fact quite the opposite you've done a great job of outlining what we can / can't really do in DF, but if you're a pilot? Stick to 2042 or BFV. This isn't it.
@@caydenph2741 close range to lock. 2 seconds to acquire, flight time, flare gives you 8 seconds can't lock again, 2 more seconds to re-lock and fire again, hit but no kill and round we go again. In which time, the NB pilot has ripped you to pieces with its miniguns / got close enough to spray with anti-personnel rockets -- probably before the flare mitigation window has expired. I need to unlock the Anti-Vehicle pods to see if they give you a chance like they do in 2042.
Super happy to know that another great pilot also flies with the same key system as me. I've used this system all my life, one of This last daays Silk told me to try the weapon sighting system. Man I tried the weapon system and it was a comedy movie 😅 🙈 I just can't get used to it, I completely lose my maneuverability, I bought a keyboard with good sensitivity on the keys and I can keep my aim completely fixed with my keyboard too. In my case I spent many years playing on the console "Control", I've only been playing PC for 2 years and I think this movement is ingrained in me forever. Aiming may be important, but I honestly think maneuverability is even more important. A good pilot can fly the helicopter anywhere, pass under bridges, etc. Without maneuverability, the weapon aim is also useless 😅. The only thing I would add here would be CTRL LEFT to lower the nose and SPACE to raise, for both jets and helicopters. Overall a very good video even for beginners 🤙 next time people ask me for tips for fly I will share this video with them directly 😅. Happy New Year to everyone 🙏
The way vehicles controls in this game is downright horrendous, it feels like they purposely made the vehicles feel like dragging a cardboard box and EXTREMELY SLOW means that they are more focused on infantry.
Happy new year!!! Great video, very useful tips. I switched to rifle aiming in BF2042, but using Q and E for the roll, instead of A and D. That's because jets in BF2042 benefit to have the yaw with A and D (together the mouse for smaller corrections) and roll with Q and E, and I thought it was more consistent for my muscle memory to keep using the same keys for the roll of helicopters too. At first it was very hard, but day after day it became second nature, now it's very hard to go back!
Its simple. Controls sucks because not the same as War Thunder. That game spoiled me with its best aircraft controls for non simulator game. Aircraft follows mouse is SO much better then THIS abomination. There is no fixing this, unless completely scraped. If they wont at least allow to map Yaw and roll on mouse at the same time... And no free look is just HORRIBLE ! I damn see where i am flying when i am simply flying forward. I cant look around when i am in the cockpit...
One thing that BF 1 did very well is that the LMGs and some rifles did damage to vehicles but DF in some aspects is repeating the typical mistakes of a shooter.
I don't like flying in Delta Force. BF is much better. You can't even put mouse moving left on Yaw left AND on Roll left. So poor, it can't in Delta Force.
@@jotaperez4449 You can't bind your Yaw AND roll both with mouse left/right. If I click on Yaw Right and I move my mouse from left to right, it binds. After that, I click on Roll right and move my mouse from left to right. It says "is already bound to "Yaw Right", bind anyway? " If I confirm, then my Yaw isn't bound anymore.

hi sir, great video. sorry if im asking not related to the game, but im having a problem here why is my keyboard and mouse visualisation stops running when i changed to my delta force game? but when alt+tab the keyboard mouse visualisation it will runs back. do u have any idea why it did that? coz im trying to do gameplay recording too using your same keyboard visualisation.. i dont mind if u dont see this its okay
is this game support controller, i think using controller may fix this nevermind i find that change the control from stock to roll - A D, yaw mouse L R is better feeling to fly and even aiming to me also you guy can try turn off the invert aircraft input (optional)
Umm there are special meneauver that can be performed for helicopers , its called circle strafing , why is this important? If you do a perfect circle around the aa above it you cannot be targeted that easy making it easy to deal with any AA, In bad company 2 if you search for bad company 2 Helicopter circle strafing you will see what i talk about, But anyway the inputs are as follows on default settings: WED and CTRL will start going into the circle strafe to the right very fast, This method lets you surround a target while moving 360 around while also maintaining the aim on the target and if you change ur sensitivity higher you can circle around targets and be a reckoning force to anything especially in the Attack helicopter with the vehicle missiles and a co pilot any AA its done for. Because your rolls are faster than their turret aim and the better the circles with more speed the better , tighter circles around targets make you faster
@@matijabublicAnti air missiles are useless with a cannon of 1k meters. AA missile always reveal your position and you give the pilot plenty of time for preparation. They just need to lower the range of the cannon, thats all. Otherwise… you are forced to use the smart rockets which they also have 1k meters range but they useless as they do little to non dps.

Thanks for the kind words man. I totally agree, Battlefield's vehicle play is far better, there's no 2 ways about it.
Air to Air missile exists
Totally agree 👍 also the lack of gravity 🙈 it's just too bad. In DF, only infantry

Thank you sir! That's a good addition there, pitch on CTRL and Space, I do that in 2042 actually already.
Massive thing I learned. When the Heli goes upside down or gets stuck, you can hit the pause menu real quick and hit "Vehicle unstuck"
oh that is huge! Going to have to try that next time thanks for the pointer.

The helis feel like gun platforms in delta force. keep it stable, fire from afar, duck behind cover. i cannot fly them like i do in BF.
Indeed. I'm a rifle aim pilot. But can't use mouse L/R on Yaw AND on Roll is shit.

if ur mouse suddenly stopped working during flight u can fix this propblem by limiting frames till 120. Don't ask why this shitt happens
In drill, it's always shafted for me.
the B key more better then F , man i died many times because of it

any way to set sensitivity/rotation speed on eg. roll if its bound to keys while the other one is bound to mouse ?

if i go low, i die by AT-4
if i go high. i die by AA
if i try hard, i die by both

the map in practice mode rotates, it's annoying. hopefully they eventually add the the options that let you chose the map mode team etc

AA needs a nerf. Helicopters are a skill check while AAs is just point and shoot. They need to lower their range by almost 400m.
