Thanks for the memories. Moved away from the Hat in ‘71. Nice to see the Assiniboine still standing. I used to walk from my home in Crestwood up on Dunlop Hill all the way downtown to buy a 10 cent bottle of Coca Cola from the pop machine they had. Went back not even 10 years later, the prairies that went on as far as the eye could see that was my back yard then, was filled with new houses now , I couldn’t even see the golf course any more. They’re right, you can never go back, everything changes.
The city is full of trees. So nice to see ,when they are full of leaves. You can't see the sky in some plces. It's like driving through tree tunnels. Such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing
Theres a part of the city called the flats and it’s lined with tones of tress and it’s nice to drive down plus the down town area has lots of trees gives lots of shade seeing this city gets the most sun out of any city in Alberta
Thanks for filming our city. I am a born and raised Hatter. It is a lovely place with the South Saskatchewan River and three creek ks creating beautiful valleys. I was lucky to have been born here.
Thanks for making the video. I've been to the Hat many a time....while I was serving in the Army. Considering moving to the Hat as Edmonton and Calgary have just become to big. The Hat has everything I need.
I actually really love this town. I have worked there a lot, I practically lived at the Best Western for 4 straight months. People think I am weird and say "Why Medicine Hat?!" I can't really explain it. It just has a charm to me. People also complain about meth heads etc....but I lived in Clareview in Edmonton for awhile so..........yeah :)
@@ryans413 How do people take to big city guys moving in? I feel, it wouldn't be a problem, but thought it would be nice to ask a random local. I worked there, a lot. Probably a whole years worth of days, and almost everyone I met was pretty chill about me being from Calgary. I moved to Victoria once, man, those people looked at me like I was the devil himself, when I mentioned where I was from. I feel....that was a Victoria specific problem ;)

Every city in Canada has meth-heads... the skies around Medicine Hat are quite stunning. Thanks for watching.
@@freejazzvan True on both accounts, and your welcome :)
Thanks for this. I could live there.
Thank you for taking the time and upload the video. The city looks bucolic and fascinating!
Thank you for using your expensive gas to give us great videos
No problem... we must thank our politicians for making life unaffordable.
@@freejazzvan at least your politicians are for the people. If I had the funds I'd try to become a Canadian citizen
@CALM KITTY I disagree, jazz is the foundation of all music but you have your opinion and I can't argue that.
You missed the most progressive block. The 600 block of 2nd St SE
Soon it will 1 year since the Royal burned down now it’s just another parking lot.
Is there are jobs opportunities in the city
