The fact the badass/girl crush concepts are higher valued among the international fans is because in the western world a strong woman is a woman who imitates men's way of behaviorism. From wearing suits to the way they talk, hide their emotions etc. That's the way for women to reach some kind of equality to men and for women to be looked upon as serious. Women behaving masculine is therefore higher "valued" than women behaving feminine because femininity started with women and women have always been looked down upon through history. Therefore femininity is looked down upon and seen as weak. That's why girl crush concepts are more often favoured, because the girls/women are being more masculine and that is more sought after among women than femininity, because a masculine girl has a stronger aura and is therefore seen as "better". It's the Society's influence on our psychology. I don't mind the concept as long as the music fits my taste. Either way, I hope people will one day understand why they actually dislike cute concepts. I mean, I have a bit of a hard time watching old women behaving as babies in MVs but that's usually not the case, especially not with twice. Your sentence was the perfect phrase to express everything I wrote, that's what I wanted to say. Long story short haha!
