New England Patriots rookies Drake Maye and Ja’Lynn Polk stood out at minicamp, among others. We share highlights and what’s to come heading into Training Camp.
yeah, I watched Maye's college film and his biggest issue was overactive footwork to compensate for his o-line. He wouldn't allow himself to set his feet and would end up throwing the ball wide. Love to see improvements, but can't really say how well it translates until we see him playing against real pressure.
Even if Drake looks leaps and bounds better than Jacobi, Jacobi should start the season. Give him 6 weeks to really digest and then start him if Jacobi isn't winning. If he wins the first 6 keep him in longer. Better for his development to sit behind a competent veteran for a little bit of the regular season.
Exactly, plus the O-line needs to protect jakobi before Maye needs to go in. Let Maye get his fundamentals down. Let see how the WRs look. Kraft will be patient with going forward.
Improving the footwork usually improves accuracy.

Zuri thun is the LT of the future. He is a beast. Okorafor is very good for a year or 2.
Never hear anything on Pop Douglas from anyone.
I just don’t see Thornton making it. It sounds like Boutte & Maye are clicking.
If Wallace can play good right tackle big Mike is all pro guard that side would be locked down
I think Wallace is the starting right tackle Onwenu should be right guard that’s best for everyone Onwenu all pro guard good tackle
I think it would be more likely we see Onwenu at LT than at guard with what he's being paid
I don’t think they’ve ever tried it
If Maye plays this year what little chance he has of being a viable QB disappears
