Actually I think the Homer Simpson as Death big is based off of a book called "On a Pale Horse" where a man who accidentally kills the reaper ends up becoming the next Death. The simpson's episode even has a scene where Homer encounters an old man who has had a run-in with the previous death - just like in the book. They even exchange similar dialogue
Too many of these are BS, Homer hitting an axe into the water heater was not an homage to the Shining, he just happened to be using an axe... they already did an homage to that exact scene in a prior Treehouse of Horror.
1:04 that's not a The shining reference, there's another whole episode making references to that movie, even the whole family gets frosted in the snow at the end.

Films/TV shows on here I've seen so far: The Flintstones, Peter Pan, Sesame Street, Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Gremlins, The Shining, Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone, The Wizard of Oz, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Fantasia, King Kong, Sleeping Beauty, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, Family Guy (sucks), The Matrix, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Alice in Wonderland, The Santa Clause, Frankenstein, Saturday Night Fever, The Twilight Zone, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Minority Report, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, The Exorcist, North by Northwest, The Munsters, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
This is good but some go to other people's references, for example I don't think they got that future predicting thing from That's So Raven (correct me if i'm wrong)
@@onikorp Oh ok. I just wasn't sure that they were referencing That's So Raven or if they both were referencing something else with the eye zoom but I don't think they are then.
The word "cinema" is a short from cinematography. And TV series, animated series and cartoons are a part of cinematography. That's why I don't see a problem in the name "Tribute To Cinema", plus, it's much easier to memorise, write and find it in search))
@@onikorp 'Cinema' is used when referring to visual representation on film, to theatrical performances, not televised programs. And especially not animated television programs

3:35 pretty sure the Grim Reaper was a reference to Monty Python's Meaning of Life, not family guy
You wrong it is
2:28 Yes, the original pilot episode of Family Guy premiered back on December 20, 1998.
S13E01 can't be LOTR: The Two Towers (2002), because the episode was first aired in 2001.

Apu was a great way to end the video. Sad to see him go....

5:49 I've been thinking this is a parody of Stien's death scene in "Resurrection of the Daleks" but it might be a coincidence.
You definitely don’t even know the context of the “Cookie Monster” one
Excellent compilation, there is a movie Southern Shockers (1985) that for me was based on episode 221 Bible stories season 10.
Cool video, Onikorp. Five stars I approve. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keep up the good work. #Simpsons. ☺👍

I dunno, but this video was most imagination than reality. This material wasn't good like your other videos.
This is good but some go to other people's references, for example I don't think they got that future predicting thing from That's So Raven (correct me if i'm wrong)
The tight closeups on Ned's eye and the sound effect when he has a vision are similar to the ones used for Raven's visions.
