You are the composer and conductor to this wonderful symphony of a motorcycle. The Tessa Tape also made the harness invisible from anywhere but up close. Beautiful work!
Man I've been watching for a looooong time, since well before the K100 build and every time I watch your vids, I remember why I keep coming back. Its been a journey watching this thing come together.
I really like your videos about bikes and history (especially since you gave the CBX so much love), but didn't pay a ton of attention to this series as I usually focus on more radical builds. But after seeing this episode, I'm gonna go back and watch them all. You're showing what a dedicated and resourceful backyard mechanic can accomplish - and you're showing love for an underdog bike, which is great. I think you're doing a great job of really demonstrating the process - the intellectual, physical, and emotional elements of a design and build - without getting tedious. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
I think about this often, I know some people are skipping these videos because they prefer normal history stuff, but I take care to make these in the same style as those videos... all you have to do is watch one to know that
Cool build. I've got an 85' k100 that's been parked for several years now, but plan to eventually renovate it cafe style. At the moment there are a few bikes and cars in line ahead of it, but I look forward to watching this series in the future. I know it's going to be very helpful! Thanks for the inspiration man! Subbed!
First time watching your videos. Really enjoyed your narration and the presentation was really easy to follow. Beautiful build by the way, great work bro 👍🏽
man, i don't normally comment on anything but it's gotta be said! i've been watching your videos for a long time and legit every time a new video pops up, i gotta make time to watch it right away. your vids are the shit man, you inspired me to buy my first project, an old 94 cbr900rr fireblade, i'm gonna streetfighter it. rock on man, you're rad as hell. cheers from canada
Thats one of the coolest things to hear from viewers, that they decided to jump into a project because of these videos. Thanks for following and taking the time to comment. Good luck on your project.
You should rotate your airflow meter 90 degrees. The way it is sitting can cause some fueling issues due to gravity pulling the valve either open or closed. Learned that through my own K100 cafe build.
I have an 85 k100 I’m building and just finished rebuilding the inside of the tank and took it to bare aluminum too. Same gas cap but black. I’m having de ja vu watching this.
Absolutely love the videos. Word of advice...take the rubber seal out of the fuel filler cap. Mine corroded from the fuel fumes and left my tank full on rubber.
Awesome build! im currently working on building a street scrambler myself and i regularly reffer to your videos when im looking for some help. How did you go about replace the throttle cable on the bike? I cant seem to find any good tips on the matter.
This bike deserves a nice tan leather seat with a diamond stitching pattern. Tan would tie in with the wheels, and would be less of an ass burner in the sun.
@@Theillestrator1050 I bet. My favorite video of yours is why the R1 sounds the way it does but I feel invested in this series and am envious of the bike you'll have when you're done. Just top notch and absolutely bespoke for you.

That is a sweet build, Have you checked your front guard to radiator clearance under compression with the forks that low? and the rear tyre to exhaust clearance under compression.
Gonna have to keep that scotch-brite/drill idea in my pocket for when it comes time to strip my tank. Also wanting brushed metal look. Looks great, man. Glad you're making some progress. The last 10% feels like it takes 90% of the time and effort.
The powdercoaters recommended it as a quick and easy way to get that look. meticulously doing it with a piece of sand paper might look more uniform though lol. Yeah I see you working hard on that SV
Did you share where you got the radiator on off switch? My k bike has one and I apparently broke it when pulling the tank off and wanted to know if you had any suggestions. Thanks.

Hello illustrator, I wanted to ask you how much did you pay for the actual software to fabricate that rear single-sided shock mount?
