this song is "STP". this is not jellybelly, the Corgan reference to it being an early version is untrue / incorrect. the song is called STP and was a very early smashing pumpkins song. it is in reference to the extremely potent LSD-like hallucinogenic drug named after the motor oil "STP". It hit SF in the late 60s and as it lasts in excess of 72 hours it was causing a lot people to have bad trips and freak out. this is where i left my friends.
@@skyroads-ob2gn true, this doesn’t resemble Jellybelly that ended up on Mellon Collie at all, but on set lists from this period, this song was referred to as Jellybelly. He probably just liked the name and used it for something else
@@neilperrin4289that would make the most sense if true. Some are saying it’s STP, but it’s not the same song or even similar lyrics. This song rocks way harder than STP!
antstien neitstna, my to fav sp records. I never really considered them to be grunge. are they? I always felt they were indie guitar rock, which is just another way of saying grunge, I guess.
I read the whole Wikipedia for Mellon collie and apparently they wrote a ton of material for Siamese dream that didn’t make it so they had songs written years before they made an album
James looks exactly like Kurt in this haha
First time hearing this. THIS IS AMAZING!
Holy God this is incredible. Bookmark.

Billy might've been joking if called it an early version of Jelly Belly.
Love the Trace Elliot’s AH300 black light behind D’arcy!

This is my soul

+H Hebert I've been a fan for 25 years. Thats how.
Wow fan of 25 years and not getting bored of SP stuff..Think I'm going to become like you, I've been fan for 3 years
Dude… play this song then switch to STP right away, it is not the same song or even the same lyrics. This song rocks waaay harder! 🤘🏼
Insane!
BEASTLY
Proof that Billy is a control freak and that James is a talented musician. HA
I didn't see any "proof" of that in this video...
this is so sick
Hope you feel better soon
So, SPFC references this song and this actual video as "Offer Up (long)".
On 1.5 speed you can kind of hear how it might have evolved into Jellybelly
Came here to say exactly that, jamming it sped up might've landed them w jellybelly
Jellybelly? u ok? that sounds nothing like jelly belly
old version
@@sebastianperdomo3687 It shares no riffs or melody with Jelly Belly, and so it doesn't sound like an old version of Jelly Belly.

This song is called STP. Appeared on the Siamese Dream deluxe edition. Sounds nothing like Jellybelly... wonder what gave people the idea that it was.
Billy corgan himself confirmed it

this is fucking incredible
de la puta madre...temon..
This is STP
How is this an old version of jelly belly?
Cuz it's not new
antstien neitstna, my to fav sp records. I never really considered them to be grunge. are they? I always felt they were indie guitar rock, which is just another way of saying grunge, I guess.
Dylan Scott I don’t consider them grunge. They were their own thing. Very unique band.
Raw & hungry....
This Hidden gem reminds of the band LoOp, very space rock
Does anybody have background info on this song?
doesn't sound like STP of Jellybelly
This isn’t jellybelly but it sounds fucking awesome. Someone figure out what this actually is
Also this looks like fish era, not 92
It’s an early early version of it
I read the whole Wikipedia for Mellon collie and apparently they wrote a ton of material for Siamese dream that didn’t make it so they had songs written years before they made an album
@@hunterhunter4679 its 92, and a song originally called jellybelly
@YYYxEEE yeah somewhere, but i cant find it sorry
Yeah, not even slightly. It has the same lyrics, and the same riff, and the same solo... IT MUST BE JELLYBELLY
My son just sent this to me after all these years there's only 42 comment
No it's not, dingus, STP's a totally different song again...
@tommytentiming that doesn't make sense...
@SuperTopa123 billy with hair :) LoL
Coil my tongue around a bumblebee mouth
sounds like deftones
@jhosseiny you saying suck at english
never liked when the sp s went so grungy.
Dylan Scott Gish and Siamese dream is the best album of SP and it's grunge. Fuck MCIS and adore . Machina I and II is acceptable tho
@@uzumaki6759 MCIS is incredible wtf. Adore is pretty damn good as well but not on the same level.
Vladislav The Poker MCIS is the Pumpkins best record.
@@uzumaki6759 SP were never grunge neither they liked to be perceived as grunge.
Grunge is such a stupid, meaningless term
