MashaAllah , your explanation is brilliant. Excellent teacher. Jazaka Allahu khayran😊
In the last of the five cases, how do we know what's the vowel of the first hamzah? In other words (and sorry for not writing in Arabic), how do I know that it is not ootoonee or aatoonee, but eetoonee? Or is this simply to be memorized? Jazakallahu khayr for the work you are doing. Ma sha Allah, I am amazed at the overall quality of the videos and the beautiful explanations.
Asslamo alikom brother,
This was explained in a previous video. I referred to that video in the lesson, and you can find the links in the description. So please watch these videos, they will help understand this rule much better.
Hope it helps in shaa Allah

@@Arabic101 Assalamu walaikum dear teacher..
I have also a confusion like this btother..
We khow that when we start from the word which has Hamza Wasl at the beginig we take the vowel of the 3rd letter of the word..If the 3rd vowel is kasra/fatha we pronounce the Hamza Wasl with kasra, and when the 3rd letter has domma we pronounce the Hamza Wasl with dommah..
Bt in this lesson we are seeing difference..
But why..?
We are pronouncing eetuuni..
Bt I know we should pronounce uutuuni, because you taught us that the 3rd letter has dommah. So that we have to pronounce the Hamza Wasl with dommah when we start at the word..
Please clearify this teacher ..😐
@@foysalh383 Wa alikom asslam,
As mentioned in the previous video (as far as I remember): ua-cam.com/video/4g61PiwOQ2E/v-deo.html&t
The rule is exactly what you mentioned (well done for remembering :), but there are FIVE words that do not follow the rule:
1- امشُوا
2- اقضُوا
3- ابنُوا
4- امضُوا
5- ائتُوا
All five of these verbs have dhamma on the third letter, but they start with kasra under the hamza al-wasl.
The reason is purely morphological because امشُوا is actually امشِيوا but the yaa' was removed for simplification, and so the ش is now followed by و and now it also has to have dhammah on it. These changes happened, but the beginning of the word remained the same; we start with the kasra under the hamza.
I hope this answers your question in shaa Allah. If you still have any confusions please let me know

I have a question in relation to the 5th case . You said there are only two cases for this . I was reading ayah 29 of Surat Al AnKaboot and came across ائتنا the first letter is hamzatil wasp which I applied the five rule . Just need to confirm that is another word we apply case number five. Thank you

Would you like your good deeds to continue increasing even after your death?
The Prophet (sa) said "When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three; ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and righteous offspring who will pray for him." (Muslim)
Please share my channel with your contacts, and inshaAllah if they benefit and teach others this will count as beneficial knowledge and your good deeds will continue to increase even after your death as long as the benefit continues inshaAllah.

ASalam alaikom dear Ustad, After watching this session regarding the hamza. While reading the Holy Quran I face with double hamza back to back but both of them with short vowels and not matching with the rules that you explained. I even watch again the previous session regarding hamza, The word is in Surah Al-Imram Ayah number 15 قُلْ أَؤُنَبِّئُکُم. If you help me and solve the confusion of me I would really appreciate it.
Jazaka Allah khairan.
Wa alikom asslam,
I understand your question .. why don't we apply the rules of this video on any word containing double hamzah back to back ..
The answer is .. the rules of the words in question here concern SINGLE words that have this problem in their formation. So, we apply the rules stated in this lesson. However, the example you provided is not just a single verb.. The verb is actually: أُنبئكُم and then the hamzah أ is added to it to turn it into a question. and so we have أَؤُنَبِّئُکُم . So the two hamzah are not part of the original formation of the verb.
That's why this rules only applies to verbs of that nature, and these verbs are limited in number, and all of them are discussed in this lesson.
Hopefully that answers your question in shaa Allah

Is the ahkam different in the aya
قل ءأنتم أعلم أم ٱلله
Al Baqara Aya 140
We will pronounce both alifs right?

At 10.00 minutes the first letter of the word is hamzathul wasl and third letter carries dummah then how it becomes eethooee instead of oothoonee ?. I do know it's read as eethoonee but couldn't understand the justification
JazakAllah
If starting to recite with the word
اٌئْتُوني
Wouldn't the hamzatul wasl have a dumma since the 3rd letter is a dumma? Thereby turning the hamzatul qat3 into a و ?
E.g.
اُوتوني؟
Allah Akbar.

I am a bit confused here Sheikh, please why does the hamza wasl not take dammah(ٱئتونى) because I understood from one of your videos that the harakah on the third letter should be applied to the hamza wasl which is dammaah in this case. Please I need some clarification. Thank you.

Assalamu alaykum brother,
is آلله and آلآن not like case 3?
It is a hamatul qat' followed by a hamza with fatha. Why do we pronounce it with madd like in case 4?
Wa alikom asslam,
These two words you mentioned start with hamza wasl and not hamza Qat'.
Please review this video, it will help you get better at this concept in shaa Allah: ua-cam.com/video/iS31xI9JF2k/v-deo.html&t
Asslamo alikom
@@Arabic101 but isn't آلله actually أَأَلله?
The first hamza is qat' because it is the "question hamza" like in ألم تر كيف.
The second one is wasl because it is the usual hamza in the word الله.
So it is qat' followed by a letter with fatha (in this case a hamzatul wasl). So it must be case 3.
What did I get wrong?
assalamu aleykum , i have a question. When i learned tajweed rules , i was taught that i have to look at 3rd letter's vowel if it is kasra or damma , and pronounce hamza wasl as the same vowel. But why on ٱئْتُونِى we pronounce it like iituuna but not uutuuna . thanks for answer in advance.
Wa alikom asslam,
That is indeed the rule, and it is true, but there are three words that are an exception for this rule. the word ائتوني is one of them.
The reason is simply because the original verb actually contains a yaa' ائتيوني with kasra under the taa' since it came before the yaa'. But to simplify the verb, the yaa' was removed and the taa acquired an "unoriginal/ artificial" dammah so that the word can be pronounced. So when we add tashkeel to hamza Al-wasl we look at the original version of the verb, which then had kasra under the taa'.
The same goes for the verb امشوا which was امشيوا
@@Arabic101 thanks for your response!
On the minute 4:57, i think it should be hamzah qath' not hamzah wasl
Also Warsh does ibdal on the next hamza.

In this case i think, kasrah can't be followed by و Or ا , so we pronounce it EETOONI?
can i possibly right Ustaad?
اؤتوا
is one of the exceptions to that rule, so the hamzah will get kasrah.
How about nun qutni rule? Isn’t it a one of the rule for humza

What if there is two back to back Hamza Wasl, how do you read?
That can't happen.
In the last example: hamza wasl+hamza with sukoon, when starting with it, how can we know that it is:ituni and not utuni? You say, that the second hamza will turn into a long vowel of the same short vowel as the first hamza. But WHAT is this vowel? I am really confused.
This depends on the third letter of the verb, brother.
Please watch the suggested videos in the description since I explain that concept in much more detail, and let me know if you are still confused.
@@Arabic101 thank you for your answer! I had reviewed the video of hamza qat and wasl and written my recap. before seeing this video. That’s why I am confused, because I understood that the rule is, that when the 3. letter is damma, hamza wasl gets damma, but here it get’s kasra in "ituni". Sorry, but I was so glad that I had understood and now...
@@amelkatrin3464 Ahh I understand your question .. Here's the answer:
The rule you learned remains the rule, and it is 100% correct .. BUT there are FIVE words that do not follow the rule:
1- امشُوا
2- اقضُوا
3- ابنُوا
4- امضُوا
5- ائتُوا
All five of these verbs have dhamma on the third letter, but they start with kasra under the hamza al-wasl.
The reason is purely morphological because امشُوا is actually امشِيوا but the yaa' was removed for simplification (to make the word easiler to pronounce), and so the ش is now followed by و and now it also must have dhammah on it otherwise, we won't be able to pronounce it. So now it has dammah, while ORIGINALLY it has kasra. These changes happened to the word, but the beginning of the word remained the same; that's why, we start with the kasra under the hamza.
I hope this answers your question in shaa Allah. If you still have any confusions, please let me know
