Blue lock completely broke the mold for sports series and it did it amazingly. No matter what irk you may have with the story you'll have to admit that there is ton of merit to it. Plus the art, characters and character designs are top tier
Fantastic analysis, i'm glad you could understand that Blue Lock isn't an "attack" on football. Tbh this is just the mindset you need, especially in college, your spot WILL get taken, if you want to be the best, there isn’t time for relationships.
I think ego is lying when he says that only the last survivor will make the team. Because hes used "lying" in the past. Also my favorite part is how every character is like hinata and kageyama, they have that animal desire to win, something haikyuu lacked in a lot of guys, with good reason since that was a high school club while blue lock has everyone trying to turn pro
In chapter 2 Ego said the top 5 players will make the U-20 Japan National team for the world cup. Which honestly is crazy because I have like 8 characters I want to see succeed.
I think he wasn't lying. Even before thee Blue Lock program started, Ego already told the old dudes that only one would survive. He has no reason to lie to the people funding the whole thing and by lying to them, it might give them even more incentive to ditch the whole Blue Lock program since they never liked him in the first place.

Found my dream this year at 23. I'd been convinced it would never happen, so it came as a welcome shock. I used to fear getting passionate because I didn't want to be disappointed and hurt. I think the most important thing is to be open to the concept of having a dream. To not shy away from getting incredibly invested in something. That, and just looking for and spending time with things that you enjoy.
more than a video about blue lock , it felt like something a great anime sensei would say to push the mc to follow their dream , and rn after watching this , I feel I can do anything if i try
As someone who has big aspirations on becoming one of the greatest actors ever, the beginning of this video was really inspirational ✊🏽 Also as someone who played Varsity Soccer my first few years of HS, glad to see the sport that I love is getting more recognition! btw I just graduated & didn’t find my passion in Acting & film until recently, the beginning of my senior when I realized that I also had no idea what I wanted to do, so I tried something that I always was interested & well the rest will be history. Moral of the story don’t worry my man, you’ll find what you love, but at the same time don’t wait for it to happen to you, go out & try new things!
It's nice to see that this manga has connected with others in the same way that it's connected with me. The manga was personally hard hitting with the ideas and mindsets that it brings across. I don't think that the main thing is having a strong determination to reach a goal, even a small or lofty goal can be reached if you have the right mindset. This was put across perfectly in Ego's talk of 'dream doping', where he talked about how dreams were meant to be chased. Same with Bachira's mom talking about how you should continue to chase your monster, and how Aiku partly blaming himself for chasing his own path. It seems like the goal itself holds less importance in the face of the overwhemingly strong mindset of a 'monster'. There were a lot of nice points that they threw in about tactical planning on how to reach your goals, like how you need an 'ability' x 'context' to get a reaction, or how you shouldn't give up even if things look bad, and keep stepping forward into where 'luck' may descend, i.e. 'where the bird is likely to shit'. Another things that really stuck with me was how Noel mentioned that not grasping a 'chance' drops you into a similarly severe 'pinch'. What the 'monster' idea means to me, with wording like 'devour' and 'starving beasts' littered throughout the manga tells me of a mindset where you see yourself as a 'monster', a 'hunter' to a problem which you view as 'prey'. The problem dissolves when you recognise that the only way for you to change an unfavourable situation is to take it into your own hands and 'devour' it, like Isagi did with Barou (since 'devour' was also used in this context). It doesn't really matter how much you want to reach your goal. In this case, a goal would almost seem to be an effect of your mindset instead of the other way around. One of the biggest factors contributing to the flow state is 'smoothness perception', basically a state where you can gain immediate feedback on your state and work on improving yourself. I didn't really like the way they included the flow state because it seemed like it could be achieved so long as you set the right goals when in reality, it's achieved when you have the mindset to be interested and focused in improving yourself, and being able to gain immediate feedback on how to improve allows you to focus. This was also because what I find the most valuable about blue lock is the mindset it introduces. Another part that I really like is where Noel said that 'not knowing' is wishful thinking and if you can't verbalise your ideal self you can't reach for it. Also, the part where he asked about whether your first action waking up in the morning, or if every second, minute or hour is spent on reaching the goal that you have. This also links in to the 'power to despair' that Ego mentioned, which is why I don't think a strong goal is necessary to move forward with the mindset of a 'monster'. As long as you have the strength to 'despair', to drown in failure, the loss of a possibility, the loss of a chance, you have a goal worth fighting for. Anyways, I really loved this manga!! (it's just sad that no one around me read it) :((
Read it the whole day and currently at chapter 104. Never knew soccer since it isn't big in my country. But this thing is awesome. I never made a fuzz about any sports manga though I really loved Slam Dunk but after that I just didn't get the hype of Haikyu. But the passion the characters have for the sports is truly awe-inspiring. It made me feel I need to be better at my craft, whatever it is that I can put my whole being to.

to anyone who is like augie who doesnt have a dream and is looking for one; you dont find dreams. dreams find you. your only job is to pursue and nurture it. and even if it never happens to you, that doesnt mean you cant be happy now. there is nothing wrong with living a simple life. too many times we have glorified the image of the dreamer and developed a habit of staking all our happiness onto some kind of ultimate goal. but we shouldnt forget to take in the view along the way to the top of the mountain. dont worry. take it easy 🫧✨🍬🌿ヽ(´ー`)
Being selfless destroy me. I make my team won the championship by helping them shine but because of that I was discarded and deemed as someone who is unnecessary to the team. They lost the next season.
The message is really good It's just that it's easily predictable. I even found the formula for each arc of this story. They give one chance of limelight for the side character, each of them, then it goes back to Isagi. Then done.

Now your weapons, I’m done with my essay
i think the thing about blue lock is that its trying to tell us that despite being placed in the back as a defender you can score after all it is a sport that can only be won by outscoring the opponent. as a striker with a defensive weapon/specialty you are suited in the back but that doesnt mean you cant go up to open spaces and position yourself for a goal. now because in blue lock hunger for goals are instilled in them they are forced to defend harder and pass when options are gone in order for new plays and chemical reactions to be formed. in other words defense and passes are just ways for them to reset a play in order for them to score not because those are their sole roles in the match. this egoism also allows them to have more offensive options.
I like that everyone’s problem with the story is the very reason Blue Lock is even happening in the first place. Ego knows football is about teamwork but that is not producing good enough strikers so something different needs to be done.
I am so glad I discovered this manga because I can’t freaking move on from One Outs not having a second season.. I need more psychological x sports anime.. TwT

19 and you're worried you won't find your passion? I'm 28! I used to just thing I have many hobbies, like anime, tt RPGs, philosophy, martial arts... but I am not a pro at any of those things. And I have a job and something of a career independent of that. But then I realized that throughout all my life, tt RPGs, videogame JRPGs and anime fill my thoughts, it is what I want to do when I can do whatever I want, and over the years I read so much about it to create my own games for my friends. I think this is my passion, now. But I will never be a pro at that and I don't want to. It's just something I am passionate about.
Not all weapons are unique to a person. Some are a result of being a prodigy, others merely being acquired weapons. Isagi's spatial awareness and direct shot are normal weapons. He learned spatial awareness to keep up with and crush better players. He learned direct shot to hone in on that advantage even further. But these are all weapons that aren't special to him. The much better players already have spatial awareness, and even a better version of it. And on top of that, they have their own special weapon, and they have higher stats than Isagi. That's why no matter how many prodigies he crushes, he's simply not one himself. For someone normal like him, the only path is to adapt more and more of these weapons into his arsenal, creating a synergy powerful enough to win any game. And to find weapons to adapt, he needs to find stronger players.
I like how Naruhaya said that Isagi is actually a prodigy, he's a prodigy of adaptability. But for most people it's not simple at all to just smash yourself into pieces and put yourself back together again even stronger than before.
I was put off at first when I first started reading it but that panel of isagi basically making barou his bitch made me realize that this is something special
I play soccer and this is very relatable even though I’m a midfielder. Also I have that monster inside me I also have been in flow I scored 4 goals in the second half

@@Smarod yeah . .. Isagi did that he pass it to other player...i dont really recall what chapter .. his team mate angry about that..
@@Yukina_rai that was the first chapter in the final, he passed and his teammate missed it. He regrets it a lot afterwards and then he goes to blue lock
@@Smarod yeah i remember that ... But the one scene that they scored , he past it to the other teammates .. the other team mates is angry about that bcoz he is the striker 😂. He should strike it to the goal keeper
peak video for a peak animanga
This is such a good video
Who’s here after Japan beat Germany 2-1?
This is my Blue Lock :)
@@wesleywallace4426 Naturally. It's just the way Isagi thinks.
you are a youtuber, thats my dream.
