Thanks for the review! "Olive" tones are typically warm and yellow, just like 425. The other foundation, 420 is a more neutral. Fenty needs to dry down then oxidize to determine the true shade. 420 is your shade, luv! You do NOT have yellow/ warm undertones. You're neutral to cool (red-ish/peachy-ish). You can't determine your shade according to how the foundation look wet. I would say that most foundations deepen when they dry down and oxidize. After 30 minutes of wear you'll see the true shade. Thanks again! 😘
This is very interesting cuz to me, olive means a greenish yellow undertone and that's what i see in her skin! In the makeup industry, neutral tends to mean orange (or, at least, neutral foundations always look orange on me). 420 was orange on me while 430 was red. I'm not far enough in the video to see what 425 looks like, but i just learned today that it exists and I'm intrigued!
For some reason 420 makes my face a bit dull and too gray (not warm) after a while. I know it's more of a matte finish, but I will be switching to 425 to test the warmth! Thanks for the review
Thank u so much for reviewing chi chi. Between the two I like 425 better than 420 but neither is giving what I was hoping for which is a more neutral look
It’s like you hit it on the head! I wanted a slight warmer version of 420 but still neutral but 425 has more of the yellow tint in it! Thank you for watching ✨
@@beautybychichi I’m surprised because isn’t 425 a warm olive/neutral tone? I had 400 and 390 😑. I need an actual neutral tone foundation Fenty please.
Back in the day i was matched to 420. It seemed too light. Tried 430 and it was too orange. Tried 440 and it was perfect. Recently changed to 445 but either work for me
I think 425 is not quite there but still better than 420 to me. I was going to buy 420 to mix with my 430 but I'm going to try 425 and if it doesn't work out, I'll balance it out with 430. This has been my main foundation for few years
@@beautybychichi I enjoyed watching this. Glad that you tried it out. Been subscribed to you for quite some time. I personally have long loved the Fenty Beauty Soft Matte foundation. I wear 300 but can wear 310 if I have a tan. Love that Fenty Beauty keeps expanding the shade range.
Unfortunately most of us black women have chosen to pick on foundations way lighter than our color. Very Unfortunate for us. We need to pick colors that match our skin color. We need to have uniform color. Not face lighter and body darker.
Sometimes that is just not possible due to discoloration and depending on what part of the body you choose to match your foundation to. My face and chest are lighter than my neck, and during the summer, I prefer to match my foundation to those parts and not my neck. However, during the winter, I may choose a shade that matches my neck if my chest is covered. It's all about preference.
Some of these comments are weird. 420 looks more like skin to me on you, but you could get away with both. Not sure why some people don't think it matches your skin. Looks good girl and your hair is cute AF!

Read me like a book! Neutral is what I lean towards not warm but it’s so funny how close they are when I did a side by side, thank youu ♥️
@@beautybychichi yes indeed! It was a great comparison. Thank you for another great show.🥰

425 looks more natural to me. I’m glad you posted this video. I just looked on the site and saw the new shade and wanted to see what it looked it.
Thank you so much! I think so as well, it is definitely more natural but I’ll say to try it out 😊

Yess that happened to me as well but I think 425 is more of what you’re looking for! Keep me updated ✨

I’m between 420 and 425 as well. us dark skinned olive girls are having hell. We’re neutral but we have a green tint in our skin.
Ahh is that what we are?! No wonder I be struggling I swear 😭
I dont think any of these two are your shade. They are way too golden/olive. Maybe try 440?
But im glad you were able to make it work! 😊
I agree both shades look way to light for her. Fenty 440 would look better once she contours & bronze!
That could be another shade as well! Since it’s summer I’m a bit darker so I can try 440 and see how that works, thank youu 💗
@@beautybychichi 440 is really red. The next closest neutral shade is 445 but it is described as olive like 425.

I’m thinking the same thing
Wowww! Yeah they have just the slightest difference but honestly both look great on you! 🎉🎉❤
Literally so crazy how similar they look but thank you my girlll 💗
420 still look better to me
Yess, I think it’s that neutral undertone where as 425 is more yellow! They look so similar it’s hard to say
Finally got my match 410❤
Wooo! Love that for youu 💗
Oh shit, I been under a rock. Just 'returned' to UA-cam and looked you up lol. And we're shade twins so omggg... Anyway back to the video lol❤️
Haha no worries and so happy you’re back!! Appreciate you so much for watching and hopefully we can keep touching base all year ✨

What did you put in your hair? I love it please share dits
Thank you so much! Here are the two products I use 😊
Cantu Coconut Oil Shine & Hold Mist
Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil Mousse
@@beautybychichi thanks alot
425 . Looks better to me
I keep going back and forth haha but yes 425 is a bit warmer to me!
You are the best! Let's see how this goes!! 😊😘
Yess let me know your thoughts when you’re done 😊

420 for the win
Thank you so much 🫶🏾
Easy. 420
It has the more “neutral” undertone for sure so I understand!
Thanks for the review
Always welcome Marla 😊
The 425 looks better
I agree as well 🙌🏾
420
I feel like 425 is your color.
Thank you! I go back and forth so much haha but I’m leaning closer to 425 ✨
Neither of these are your shade.. your face looks completely different from your neck…
Hey! Yes my neck is a bit darker but I match to my chest and apply a little foundation on my neck.

Hey faith! This color isn’t a 100% match but it’s the closest- after bronzing and contouring it looks way better.
None of it’s the closest you need darker shades
Try getting a professional at Ulta beauty or any makeup stores to color shade you
