For Prowl, I'd say this is a golden opportunity for that one Animated Barricade art piece we never got.
Derrick J Wyatt also created a character model for Groove from Animated Prowl, and First Aid from Bumblebee. They can't combine, but it would be interesting to see if Hasbro remembers those designs.
I want to see Axelgrease be remoulded as Animated Lockdown, but come with extra parts so you can replicate his limb swapping from the show with hook, chainsaw, EMP blaster, etc. Plus he’s already a spiky muscle car. Maybe retool the figure to have longer legs for an extended hood of the car and to make Lockdown taller and lankier in robot mode.

My guess is at first that was gonna be the case then they decided Chase as the retool and that is who we get in the Star Seeker subline
I would like to get Axel grease, so that way I could combine it with shadow striker.
Personally I’d much rather an original mold I can't really see Axelgrease doing him justice
@@tfuniverse1651 I was going to say exactly this. Lockdown needs to be a tall, lanky deluxe class, and Axlegrease doesn't do it for me with her bulkier proportions.

Shard's mold can be retooled into Energon Bulkhead. That mold was made for him.
Almost wonder if they could get Armada Sideways out of the Animated Prowl.
Replace the head with a port for Headmasters.
There was a character in RID'15 that was an Autobot recolor of Bludgeon that would be cool to get a repaint/retool of. I think his name was Blastwave. I enjoyed the episode he was in

A fascinating idea I've seen for Tarantulas is to turn him into Octopunch. Merging the crab elements of his core robot with the octopus bits of his shell.
For tm2 Megatron, I'd buy a green repaint based on the Classics Minicon Brimstone.
Metalhawk i can see.making for an interesting take on Pretender Starscream. If one bases the deco on the shell.

I think trash master's probably gonna get retooled Into tfa wreckgar Since it is the same kind of garbage truck that wreckgar turned into an animated. I could also see them doing a repaint with slight retool out of the strong arm mold into Nightra.

The Skids mold I want to see used one more time just because I will be livid if my favorite of the City Turbo bots, Reboost, is the only one to not get a new toy. I have every color of this mold and I want my damn Reboost to complete the set.
I still need to get the Crosscut repaint, even though I keep telling myself I don’t need it because I’ve got the MP.
If they release Armada Optimus in his final episode colours without a trailer but with his minicon I'd buy that. I don't like that I'd have to buy a new one and that he didn't just come with it in his normal colours but that repaint of Optimus goes hard.
Edit: The only acceptable mold to use for Cybertron Ransack is the Legacy Arcee mold. Its PERFECT for him, the "Prime" Arcee headsculpt looks almost exactly like his does minus the horn, and everything else on the figure just lines up exactly where it did on Ransack. Animated Prowl doesn't even come close.
The only thing that Ransack and Prowl have in common is where the arms end up in vehicle mode
Funny thing about the Prowl. DNA Design already did a Samurai Prowl kit. I got it. It's pretty damn good tbh. So I doubt Hasbro would do it to begin with, but if most collectors got the upgrade kit, then there's no chance.
Tarantulas, in my opinion, is one of the best modern Transformers.
The only other use for him is for a Collab, maybe for their MONSTER line, where he is some sort of a horror movie spider.

The insecticons have not been represented in Studio Series for their appearances in the 86 movie yet. I could see Hasbro reusing those molds there.
I love the concept of this video. It would be fun to do this with molds in previous lines. For Tarantulas, I want the Fox Kids! Transmetal color scheme, the silver and black one that was the hardest Transmetal to find.
Devcon is an extensive remold of SS86 Blurr, you're right.
Not only that, but SS86 Blurr is a retool of Titans Return Blurr (or at the very least uses TR engineering)
I could see the Devcon mold being used as Fulcrum for a Scavengers capsule. Like you said, it's generic enough that could work for anyone.
I thoroughly enjoyed this format wouldn't mind seeing this redone as a special treat or once a year for each toy line but only as a recap only.

Great video! The ONLY thing i would change is add Re-issue/ Re-pack for some of the harder to get figures that people missed out on.
You actually did a package refresh with Tarantulas. He was package refreshed from Legacy year 1. And core Energon Megatron is Legacy United.

re: the core seeker mold, I agree we need a redo of Skywarp, but I wouldn't mind seeing it retooled into the coneheads as well.
Trashmaster should be retooled into Heavy Load.

8:00 I know there's a cancelled Takara concept where they wanted to recolor the original Legion/Legends scale version into G1 Prowl's Action Master partner.
I think with some extensive retooling, you could get Rescue Bots Heatwave out of Trashmaster.

I'd love to see this become a full series. You could possibly go over previous toylines and do a then vs now which is better or which one id love to see redone/reissue again

I really hope that Ruckus is a VERY heavy retool of Beachcomber and not just a "new head repaint" like Windsweeper. Ruckus
needs his heavier shoulders, legs, and enclosed cabin to absolutely nail it for me.

Trashmaster is an easy heavy retool into Energon Demolisher in his dump truck form after he was reformatted.

I was about to say that retooling Nemesis into the Victory would fix that issue you had with her, then it occurred to me that the Victory was... basically just another Nemesis. So it wouldn't really be all that different.
I can think of one more use for that Blaster mold you might be into. _[eyes clear plastic Eject deviously]_
Dig the format, would like to see the stuff from WFC onwards done in this format (we're probably not seeing stuff reused from before that to any significant degree).
There was a red recolor and green recolor of Animated Prowl that appeared in the IDW comics. I think one was called Horsepower but I have to check.

Energon Galvatron has a few repaints such as red/black which would be cool.
Core Class Energon Megatron could work as Straxus. His altmode in Marvel comics has similar vibes.

Animated Prowl feels like it will get remade as "Samurai Prowl" around the same time we get an Armorizor/weaponizer that can be redecoed as his Samurai Armor.

Here’s my idea for bludgeon/Tarn: get rid of the stinking clear plastic chestplate, and replace it with solid plastic. I will keep bringing that up until Hasbro does it. If that doesn’t happen in the package, refresh, I am going to take an entire day off from Transformers. Yeah, it would make me that frustrated.

Great format/idea. For me, I would love if they took one more run at Blaster, simplified the mold by removing some of the extra greebles, removed the translucent plastic and released him in the SS86 toy line. I could take or leave a Twincast or a SG version of this new tooling.
But at least give us modern Steeljaw and Ramhorn before the mold is retired. 😢

@@noodle9829 Yes and while that release covers some of what I said, I wish they would also get rid of the extra speakers and other greeble. I like the design for a modern take on 50-year-old tech, but I still want the toon look for SS86.

I think they could get a decent Armada Sideways out of Prowl. Even maybe finagle a rider who could be a helmet to replicate the headmaster gimmick and release it as an exclusive voyager.

Tarantulas in Legacy Evolution was a Package Refresh from Legacy so I don't think he should count here. With that being said I would love him in prerelease orange colors that were featured in original ad and early boxes.
I loved the g1 looking Japanese repaint of Animated Prowl and really hoping for it. I also want a nod to Fox Kids Transmetal Tarantulas if we can’t get a real Transmetal Tarantulas and repaints.

Trashmaster could easily be retooled into Landfill and Wideload. Beachcomber could be retooled into Joyride (powermaster).

I feel like we need another sideswipe repaint, but I don't think Hasbro is listening to the demand for more sideswipe repaints.

Not gonna lie I think the Legacy Elita-1 mould could work for most of the Female Autobots if they heavily retooled it like they did with Strongarm, but after they did all the team out of the dang PotP mould I doubt they're gonna redo them any time soon which is a shame. Wouldn't mind them retooling Strongarm into Nightra tho

I believe that they are rerelease the Kingdom Blaster mold one last time to make a Rewind that isn’t in the clear plastic and a solid blue color. I think they should just release the Blaster 86 Movie cassettes in either a four pack or as individual core class figures.

There are a ton of 1988 buggy characters that may need the Beachcomber mold.
For Crosscut I want Reboost and Tarantulas I want the package art orange version like the Tigatron, Blastwave from Bludgeon, Nitra from Strongarm, Rescue Bots Salvage from Trashmaster, I want Hardtop from Beachcomber, Leader-1 from Metalhawk and Wrecker Hook from the Towline figure.

Yea Minerva was done so wrong. Using the Elita mold was strike one and taking away her headmaster ability was strike two. I might have accepted the new look if she had been retooled to incorporate the headmaster ability (Takara Legends already gave us a Headmaster mold) retooling the canopy to open up wouldn't have been that hard. Yea not the right look for her but maybe acceptable. Ohhh Skyquake yea we need a Machine Wars Starscream and Universe King Atlas, but Machine Wars I have little hope for. King Atlas ehhh possibly. Yea Nemesis was probably more famous cuz of Beast Wars. I haven't picked it up because of space, but yea if it was done more in the Beast Wars colors I'd really think it over. The Cyclonus/Metalhawk mold I really think they could rework that into Thunderwing (Marvel Comics version)

Dragon Megatron = Beast Machines Megatron, whether or not you retool the wings into being able to form a cape
Tarantulas = Fox Kids Transmetal deco. I saw a custom and it REALLY goes hard in those colors
Strongarm = I'm of the camp that she should've been the pretool for Minerva, not Elita, who in turn should have been Override's pretool, just so we have a respectable size for her that's not a puny Deluxe.

I personally want a reissue of the original Pretender shells, loved the originals when they came out.🤘 I also wish that Devcon would have had a cockpit and a mini Slizardo. I bought Shadow Striker yesterday and I gotta say I think it is one of the worst TF ever made.🙈 Dreadwing is amazing now I need SkyQuake.🤘

I really want the Legacy Shadow Striker mold to be retired. The head is about the only good thing about it. Windblade turned out great. Why couldn't Shadow Striker?
Armada Megatron was missed, (and Energon Megatron is part of United) but after the Galvatron we know we're getting thanks to Tidal Wave's box... maybe the canceled Mega Zarak deco for it? I've no idea what else can be done with the toy.
Dreadwing, at least my copy, seems to have fixed some of the backpack issues that plagued Skyquake. Hopefully any future uses of this mold follow suit.
