Once Zain gets a little more seasoning in freestyle, he's gonna be a legitimate top contender.

Retherford clearly had a ton left in the tank, wish he would have left it all out there. The outcome may have been different.

We need to realize how the Russians wrestle. They basically wrestle the whole match to set up the last 30 seconds. They are either going to be behind by 2 or less, or ahead by criteria or points with 30 seconds. Then the last 30 seconds is where they win the match. We have the mentality of scoring points. They have the mentality of keeping the score low, close, win in the last 30 seconds. That's how all their best wrestlers do it.

Zain should’ve had that match. Damn...no worries, he’ll come back stronger & start adapting to the Russians defensive style they always do...until the very last 1 minute in that final round. It pays off as you can see. But Zain outworked the #2 ranked wrestler in the World & lost by 1. He’ll learn from this & bounce back harder! I don’t think I saw Cael in his corner this match either, obviously was busy elsewhere. Hopefully he will be back for Zains next match!

@4:07 with those knees to the back of the thighs. Those Russians are so tough man. Win at all cost. It’s definitely a way of life for those Dagestani wrestlers.

Anyone else see rashidov drive a knee super hard into zanes thigh at 412??I am pretty sure your not allowed to drive knees into your opponent cause guys would be using it all the time but this guy does it twice once in the thigh and right after he elevates and knees him in the butt on the other side.thats just dirty what are these refs looking at???I smell some home cooking as steve mocco would say

Its just keeping the legs moving to make sure you keep a high pace and never stop. Usa is all about pace and conditioning

What was up with the reffing. You can't let one guy sit back after awarding the opponent a point for passivity. Zane was taking chances and being active to score. That's worth more than a point when the strung out Russian midget is gassed from walking around and conserving for when Zane is too out of position. Worlds needs way better reffing. This is ridiculous. Refs are always calling for action, but why the hell should you shoot repeatedly? Put yourself in danger for counter attacks, just because the ref told you to? Such BS.

Zain was out hustled at the end. Can't blame the ref. Good match by both wrestlers.

He did concede a point for his lack of aggression though. The rules of freestyle allowed him to play his game and he ultimately pulled out the win. Zain needed to be aware of the tactics and not to sit back on a narrow lead too
