Always thought Sylvester Stallone's definitive character was Rocky and Keanu Reeves' definitive character was Neo
... Ted. *air guitar*
I can’t decide between Neo and Ted. 🤷♀️
For me are both for Stallone.
He is famous for Rocky an Rambo.
@@jennyh4025what about wick
@@oisinlynch8427 I’m way too old to have that for my defining character.
Keanu Reeves will always be known as Neo from The Matrix. Also, Sylvester Stallone will always be known for Rocky not Rambo.
Don't forget about Ted from Bill & Ted
Dont forget jack from speed
Was thinking the exact same thing about those two, Sly = Rocky and Keanu = Neo
I wolud say Stallone for Rocky and Rambo. Perhaps more for Rocky.
I think of bill and ted. Robin Williams had a variety of characters people think of. Morgan freedman only thought of as that character? Did you his other movies?
Michael J Fox = Marty McFly
Alex P. Keaton
Great Scott
YES!
THANK YOU!
Agree.
No. Remove Robin Williams. Because of his talent, he will NEVER be remembered for just one character.
Yeah he is too spread out and fantastic in everything to use one character alone.
Yes he is I will always think of Robin Williams as Mork from the 70s sitcom Mork and Mindy
@@lorrainebowe9585 I was personally thinking mrs doubtfire, but i'm a little bit younger than you I'm guessing. Mork and Mindy was a good show though. Mork from Ork.
Robin Williams is known for being Robin Williams.
Hey Robin , do you have a belt I can borrow ?
This is how I remember him !
To me, Robin Williams will always be defined as Ms. Doubtfire. 😊
Mork
He was too good to be seen as a specific character. I loved him in aladdin and mrs doubtfire.
Robin Williams will always be Mork
Patch Adams
😆😆😆
Bro, Benedict C. = dr. Strange
😂😂😂
Exactly!!
Yesss I thought that too
Absolutely
In America, yeah Dr. Strange, but I'd bet Sherlock is at least as defining a role for him in Britain.
LMAO no. Before Dr. Strange he was already a legend in Sherlock. In 20 years absolutely noone will remember him in the MCU but will still talk about Sherlock
Keanu Reeves will always be Neo.
Christopher Reeve = Superman
Peter Falk = Colombo
Angela Lansbury = Jessica Fletcher
for real with the Angela Lansbury, that's what I grew up with her as
Jessica Fletcher aka the world’s most successful serial killer 😂
@@rachele3334 no as the them most successful detective
Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Potts
Morgan Freeman - Red from Shawshank
Mr. Joe Clark
I was looking for this comment
hell yeah
Anthony Hopkins - Hannibal
Harisson Ford - Indiana Jones
Bruce Willis - John Mcklein
harrison ford is also han solo, so it doesn't count
@@konuralpyldzkan1495Harrison Ford does not even like Han Solo. Indiana Jones is where it counts. 👍😉
Must say some of them are missing and that Harrison is for me Han Solo and Indiana
@@benjaminA.stantonpun doesn't matter if he likes him or not. he is known as han solo and indiana jones at the same time.
Christopher Reeve as Superman also missed out
I actually thing keanu reeves will forever be remembered as neo from the matrix.
Spot on
when i think of Robin WIlliams i never think of the genie!
Peter Pan in Hook, Ms Doubtfire, Jumanji. He was a very versatile actor
Good Will Hunting! Showing what a versatile actor he was.
Nah, Miss Doubtfire
Mrs doubtfire or mork
Robin Williams is Robin Williams
I love how Jerry Seinfeld is just "Jerry Seinfeld" 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations you just played yourself
Can't stand the guy
how in the world you didn't put Sigourney Weaver aka Ripley on the list ???
Niche category 😅
Not a lot of people know Alien...which was 10x better than Star wars imo
Idk how tbh cause there isnt as notable a character for her other than ripley
Sylvester Stallone is Rocky.
Tom cruise - Ethan Hunt
And Maverick.
Tom Cruise is bigger than all of these actors lmao
How come you forget Super Man (Christopher Reeve) do add him in this video thanks
I see a lot here have forgotten David Duchovny as Special Agent Fox Mulder in The X Files.
Robin Williams is Mork from Ork, Sylvester Stallone is Rocky, Keanu Reeves is Neo, Neil Patrick Harris is Doogie Howser, M.D.
I fully agree with you on that
Considering memorable characters, fully agreed. Considering characters that outlived their debut film/show, perhaps only Neo and Rocky...
'Nanoo,Nanoo'
I have to disagree about N.P.H. Barney Stinson is off the chart. You've gotta check out How I Met Your Mother. They even do a Doogie parody at the end of one episode, where he's typing and the music is playing. He's known for both.
The Daniels Craig and Radcliffe are both British.
Good choice of actors!
Elijah Wood as well.
Daniel Radcliffe is from the UK
Just wanted to say
So are Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, but so what!
@meatpopsicle1567 The person who made the video put them as from the uk but not Daniel, that's why they said it
@@super6703 Okay
For us, 50+ year olds, it's primarily Rocky before Rambo, and Conan before The Terminater just because of the order it came in. Back when Sly and Arnold were only thousandaires 😂
I agree rocky over rambo but Arnold is iconic as the terminator.
Where is Jim Carrey???...the iconic Ace Ventura.
He’s too versatile: Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar, The Mask, The Truman show
@@victorhayden1183 Exactly...I thought of Ace Ventura, The Mask and The Riddler when I saw Jim Carrey.
Everyone from Harry Potter will always be everyone from Harry Potter for us!!! ❤
Jerry Seinfeld will always be remembered as Jerry Seinfeld.
Macaulay Culkin and Daniel Radcliffe, one's born very early in the 80s and the other in the very late of the 80s, and yet both of them have played memorable characters that positively impact our 20th century-ending childhood... absolute legends
So do Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
Tom Cruise is the world's biggest movie star and its not even close.
Keanu Reeves also had Neo from The Matrix.
Sylvester Stallone also had Rocky Balboa.
Mark Hamill alone has several characters he's attracted to. Like Joker and Ozai.
I personally think Scarecrow to be Cillian Murphy's best role.
Robert Pattinson's best role, in my opinion, is either Batman or Cedric Diggory.
An argument for Jennifer Lawrence could be her role as Mystique in the X-Men movies.
Really, any role with Robin Williams is memorable. Although I do agree that Genie is his best role.
Malcolm's father from Malcom in the Middle is also a contender for an iconic role for Bryan Cranston.
Neil Patrick Harris also has Count Olaf.
Benedict Cumberbatch also had his role as Dr. Strange.
Morgan Freeman alone has other roles he's been in that be classified as iconic. Like Lucius Fox from the Dark Knight Trilogy.
Vin Diesel: I am Groot.
Rowan Atkinson is Blackadder before Mr Bean.
Always
he is Mr Bean worldwide, though
@linebrunelle1004 yes and that's sad as he has done so many wonderful things
Not Zazu 😮
Daniel Craig is not American, he’s British. He’s best known for Skyfall 007, Casino Royale, Cowboys and Aliens and so much more.
Actually, he has dual citizenship, so he is both. But yes, primarily British.
@@SuperBondfan007 Really? thanks for sharing.
He neither American or British - he’s English
@@SushiTime1981English falls under British. He also does have dual citizenship
And his surname is pronounced to rhyme with vague, not egg. Ffs.
Robin Williams, always defined by ….the Genie?? Excuse me!?😮
Peter weller -Robocop
Wesley snipes-Blade
Donnie yen-ip man
Leslie Nielsen - Frank Drebin. Michael J. Fox - Marty Mcfly.
Most of them are Avengers actors who stick to that role
When I think of Keanu Reeves I think of Neo, first and foremost.
Just a slight clarification: Daniel Craig is actually British. Thanks for understanding!
Daniel Radcliff is also English actor, not an American.
Blows my mind when i think of christian bale and liam neeson doing american accents
Man I'm old. When I think Keanu, I think of Ted Theodore Logan.
Me too.
Your thinking is most excellent.
Jason Statham as Jason Statham. 🤭👌
💯
Roger Moore and Sean Connery as 007 are missing. So is Harrison Ford as Han Solo or Dr. Indiana Jones. John Peppard as Col. John Smith or Siggouney Weber as Rippley
Siggouney Weber as Rippley?
Sean Connery was a way better Bond the Craig, but also was never defined as just being James Bond.
Roger Moore fits the bill easy though and deserves to be on this list more then Craig who was awful
@@group-music Yeah, Whats a 'Siggourney Weber'?
@@Thenogomogo-zo3un 😁
Funny story, when I saw Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness is theaters, when Mister Fantastic (played by John Krasinski) appeared for the first time, someone from the audience shouted out "It's Jim!".
Oh my gosh. That’s freaking hilarious.
Mark Hamill will also always be known for his voice work... particularly his role as the voice of the Joker.
So I'm not the only one who sees him as The Joker instead of Luke Skywalker?
@@kittycatmeowmeow963 yea but let's be honest he's still defined as Luke Skywalker espicaly from the original trilogy
Fun Fact: Mark Hamill was the original David Bradford on Eight Is Enough.
The role was taken over by Grant Goodeve when Mark got the part of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars.
I wonder who would have played Luke Skywalker if Mark had decided to stay with Eight Is Enough?
Mark Hamill also voiced Chucky in the 2019 Child's Play remake.
Mark Hamill is Luke Skywalker
Bryan Cranston = Hal (Malcolm in the Middle)
Maybe it's recency bias but these days far more people remember breaking bad then malcolm in the middle
Tim Whatley
For me, Rowan Atkinson is always Edmund Blackadder.
"It's not funny, it's deadly serious, we're in trouble. So I shall _eat_ the evidence for lunch. And if anyone asks you any questions at all, we didn't receive any messages, and we definitely *did not* shoot this delicious, plump-breasted pigeon."
Puritans
Where is Clint Eastwood (The Man With No Name)?
Hi there, nice to see it. Which are the function you are using to create this slideshow picture video? Thanks in advance if you can answer
3:22 says he's defined by dean winchester but proceeds to show a soldier boy picture
Keanu Reeves Matrix 😎
There use to be a time when "over-staying your welcome" with a particular role was considered a career death sentence in Hollywood and some celebs fell victim to that circumstance like Robert Stack, Charles Bronson, Max Baer jr, Mike Connors and Sherman Hemsley
Benedict C. is not only Sherlock Holmes but also Dr. Strange
Yes
exactly
Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley should be on the list
True, and Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor
Missed Linda Blair as Regan MacNeil.
Jerry Seinfeld will be remembered for being himself. Thats probably the greatest award can actor ever achive.
i thought Benedict would be defined by his role as Dr.Strange from the MCU or Smaug from the Hobbit and Hugh Jackman as P.T Barnum from The greatest Showman
To me Arnold Schwarzenegger will always be Conan the Barbarian, Rowan Atkinsons best work was on Blackadder, Hugh Jackman's most memorable role (at least to me) was as Blackbeard in Pan, Chadwick Boseman was incredible as James Brown in Get on Up, Kristen Stewart will always be Phoebe Larson and Brendan Fraser is George of the Jungle.
For us 50 year olds Brendan Frazier waa Encino Man in our teenage years and then the adventurer Rick O'Connell in The Mummy when we were all 25 to 30 years old.
Ok shut up now
What about Johnny english?
Arnold is more known for terminator Rowan for Mr bean or Johny English
Rob Williams is know for plenty
Sylvester Stallone = Rocky
Robin Williams = Mork
Neil Patrick Harris = Doogie Howser
Carey from the Mask
Hanks from Forest Gump
Adam West is the Mayor of Quahog.
Yes, but mayor Adam West was named after actor Adam West.
@@michaelbujaki2462 You mean Adam We according to his lite brite.
Hugh Jackman - the greatest showman
johnny depp - willy wonka
Gene Wilder Willie Wonka
Michael J Fox - Marty McFly
Киану Ривз вообще-то Матрица а не Джон Уик
Wasn’t Danielle Radcliffe from the UK?
I remember Brendan Fraser as George of the Jungle..
I always thought that D. Radcliffe is British.
He is
Those guys all probably hv dual citizenship
Rocky >>>>>>>> rambo.
This needs a part two!
I can think of quite a fiew more.
Zorro, Mrs Doubtfire, Tarzan, Peewee, ...
There should be also Ian Mckellen as Magneto/Gandalf, Sir Christopher Lee as Saruman/ Count Dooku, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner/Legolas, and Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn.
What about Tobin Bell as Jigsaw?
Robert Englund as Freddy Krugger is also missing
@@mr915764 You are right.
You forgot Henry Winkler--The Fonz
Is it bad that I only knew Ribert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter? 😂
Keanu Reeves….knock, knock, Neo!
You forgot Robert Pattinson is very popular for batman and Benedict C. for doctor strange and they are also gona known for these roles in future
Viggo Mortensen, Aragorn.
Ian Mckellen as Gandalf should have been on this,as with Christopher Lee as Saruman/Count Dooku
Christopher Lee was also Dracula I don’t think he fits
I'm happy you included Adam West. Just watching his clips and now he is my favourite Batman 😂
You forgot Peter Falk as Columbo
Basil Rathbone as Sherlock
Gable as Rhett from Gone with the Wind
Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool
Van Wilder
Green Lantern!
Bruce Willis: John macline
Like how they said Jensen Ackles - Dean Winchester, and then put a picture of Soldier-Boy
I would mention just Jennifer Aniston as Rachel, but she really is not the only one! All cast would be remembered by no other chars, but Friends…
And, I would mention Pierce Brosnan as the eternal James Bond, not Daniel Craig…
Sir Patrick Stewart - Capt. Jean-Luc Picard
Brent Spiner - Lt. Cmdr. Data
James Earl Jones - Darth Vader (Voice)
Hayden Christiansen - Anakin Skywalker
Sacha Baron Cohen - Borat
Alex Winter - Bill S. Preston Esquire
Kevin James - Paul Blart
Julie Kavner - Marge Simpson
And Keanu Reeves - Ted "Theodore" Logan
Kinda figured Riddick would be Vin Diesel’s definitive character. Loved those movies as a kid
I was onboard w most of this but Robin Williams can't be defined by any one roll! Every roll he played was a definition in itself
*role.
@@michaelbujaki2462 a roll buy any other name would taste as sweat😅
To me Robin Williams will always be Mork. (Yes, I know, my age is showing 😊) Nanu nanu
I think, Rowan Atkinson played Inspector Maigret extremely well.
He's a lot more than just Bean.
I think of Rocky before Rambo. And how do you leave Alan Alda off this list as Hawkeye Pierce.
Daniel Redcliffe is not from USA but UK
Keanu Reeves = Neo
Vin Diesel = Riddick
Vin Diesel is Toretto
Gerard Butler-Leonidas
THIS... IS... SPARTA!!!! 🦶🏼💥
I remember Stallone as Rocky long before Rambo. Three of the Rocky movies were out, performed well in the box office and won academy awards before the first Rambo movie came out
The only one here that I think actually isn't mainy known for one role is Robin Williams. The man is iconic with all his characters. The first role I think of with him is Mrs. Doubtfire.
Since when has Daniel Radcliffe been American?!
John Wick? Please „Neo“!
John Wick? no - Neo? no = Ted "Theodore" Logan dude!
@@timvarnadore2892 Logan DUDE nice 👍
I agree to this. And Jason David Frank is always Tommy Oliver/ Dr.O
Sean William Scott-Steve Stiffler
Jaleel White-Steve Urkel
Mark Paul-Gosselar-Zack Morris
People also would know Benedict more as Doctor Strange then Sherlock
Robin Williams will always be Mork. (with a little bit of Teddy Roosevelt thrown in)
Adrian Paul - The Highlander
Richard Dean Anderson - MacGyver
Roger Moore - James Bond
Eric Bana - The Best Hulk
Patrick Stewart - Jean Luc Picard
I always thought Dwayne Johnson was The Rock in real life. I didn't think it was a character.
Christian Bale as Batman and Daniel Craig is not American!
Reeves - Neo, Ted
Sly- Rocky
Depp- Edward Scissorhands
Cumberbatch - Dr. Strange
Freeman - Red (Shawshank Redmption)
Depp is definitely better known for being Captain jack sparrow.
Keanu famous by Matrix! not John Wick....
Before there were the Rambo movies, Sylvester Stallone played a roughly similar character (complete with machine gun) as one of the competitors in the 1975 movie "Death Race 2000".
AHA! yes
