As a car guy I love your very informative videos but as an ex napoleon I especially love your drives around the town! Brings back memories! Thank you sir!
One of the finest Mercedes ever made!! Timeless elegance combined with a great reliable engine. One of the best cars ever. Each real Car-Collector wants one of these Beauties 🚘😎👍👍 Simply wonderful!! Thanks for showing and Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹👌😁😎
I HAD A GOLD CONVERTIBLE 280 SL WHEN I WAS 19 YRS. OLD. IT WAS SOLID AND GORGEOUS. BUILT LIKE A BRICK " " HOUSE. HEAVY MATERIAL MAKES THIS CAR A SOLID CAR. ALL THE OTHER CARS OF TODAY...WOULD FOLD LIKE AN ACCORDIAN AGAINST THIS MODEL!
Used to have a 74 280C with the 110 model engine with 4bbl and dual exhaust. Had the European halogen headlights that look much better. Great cars back then. My 280 didn’t even have a radio just a cover plate with a chrome 280 on it. No sunroof and crank windows. Fast little car with its inline 6 cylinder with dual overhead cams, spark plugs went deep down the center of the engine
i’ve only recently discovered Bill, last month or so, so it’s taking awhile to go back thru all his videos. this has to be one of his classics, not as funny as the Maserati one, but just an exceptional look at an awesome car. the thing that strikes me the most is Bills effortless command of the car, driving wise. my father has a 53 Packard that i don’t want to drive, for the plain reason that i don’t want to be responsible for it in any way coming to any kind of harm. not that i’m afraid of driving, i personally own an older 7series BMW that i maintain an regularly drive across country. but thats my car an i’ll take my chances. this car seems irreplaceable, Bill just goes for it!! KUDOS Enjoy your donuts Bill, you’ve earned them
the restoration is totally complete. the underneath say it all;super clean. Will love to get to know the guys who did the restoration job. with them in mind, one can boldly and confidently buy a classic for restoration.
GORGEOUS car. There is no doubt that the bundts can provide a freshen up without going too far off the path, BUT there are older cars that need to stick with caps only and this style definitely falls into that category.
Thank you very much to share with us this beautifull Mercedes Benz, I ám as classic as that car little bit older 55, the MB is 48 at this time, continue please sharing some other Clasic Cars. From Guatemala, City.
This thing is insane ridiculous beautiful. Wow oh my Gatos. Is for sell? I own a 1974 Mercedes Benz SL450 white one awesome condition. But this 71 is so freakin beautiful. What’s the price for it?
Hi Bill, what happened to the intro music? I suppose you just can't be bothered, with the weather & stuff? I Look forward to your reviews, but then I have no life!!
No you don't need music if you want music turn on your stereo in your own house or office. Intro music is a waste of time and you'll find most people just can't be bothered this is not a Hollywood movie set
@@Mr2pint - Right, and music at the end; You tubers don't shoot your foot off. When I hear music at the end, I click to the next video. Does that mean you don't get the view counted if it does not finish? Maybe. And the music is always too loud for the dialog
Such a shame about the American style headlights minus those ugly bumper overiders . Here in Australia we get the German spec all one piece glass which in my opinion looks far nicer. I know those damn American laws 🤪🙋♂️
The reason the 280SL sucks. Is the articulating rear end. Which causes the car to ground loop when it unweights in a corner. This can be dangerous on rainy days. Be careful.
Bill makes the BEST videos. No unnecessary, annoying music, etc...,,just to the POINT, & always well-described. Thx Bill.
Refreshing to hear an informed, articulate, and knowledgeable salesperson! Thanks BILL!
Hands down the best reviews on you tube for sure, great job Bill.

That’s the coolest car Naples has to offer.
Certainly one of the most beautiful cars ever
Great color combo on this Pagoda. Paul Bracq went on to design the E24 6-series BMW, proving lightning can strike twice.
I love the 280sl I have one I have one now around 40 years Still Loving It.

Your videos have such a down to earth quality. Keep them coming. Stephen
Enjoyed the video! I’ve had my California 280SL since 1983. Rarely put the hard top on. We got so many compliments.

Elegant yet sporty. Own a 1969 version. A favorite at car shows. Thanks for the great review.
Very elegant classic, also I'd love to see that red Cadillac Deville in the background when you get a chance bill
To say I would consider myself most lucky as well as very proud to own this elegant Mercedes, would be an understatement of grand proportion.
My favorite MB of all time, next to the 450 SEL
