ann leavitt definitely keep your coe the same on a project. I NEVER mix 90 & 96. But I do use both types of glass in my studio so I’m very careful not to mix them.
Rebecca Allison microwave kilns are SO small that something of this size wouldn’t fit and the temperature needs to be very controlled so it doesn’t crack. BUT you could do this same process on a small piece. It would be fun!
Susan McGarry Glass thanks for the quick reply, and THANKS for the 60+videos. Please promote your business more so that we can support you more! 🗣. Meaning, can you put Artifil.com at the end of the video? Much appreciation
Anna Kleimer you’re SO sweet. The reason I don’t put ARTiFILL at the end of the videos (& I’ve thought about it ALOT) is I don’t want anyone to think I do the videos only for the commercial. But I do appreciate the shout out!!! 😊
I've used a large (wide) plastic straw with the end cut off at an angle. Works the same, but even a small spoon will do. So will certain pouring bottles, if your frit is fine enough, and that's my preferred method now. I've more control with that and have the added bonus of being able to just keep my frit in there for storage. My friend keeps different sized metal tips for her bottles for changing effects, and as long as all your bottle tops accept the tips its really very efficient and allows you to move between sizes of frit quickly as well. Happy creating. :)
Always love these!! Thank you!!
It's really beautiful. Thank 4 sharing
Thank you so much 😊
Great video Susan. I especially like the "new" tool. You can never have enough tools!

Probably any hairspray will work but pump will be better than aerosol & cheap is better.
Hi, fascinated with this whole process. Could you make a similar affect by making thin circles of enamel on a small piece of jewelry?
Nice ,thanks You for sharing ,where can I Buy te frit ,
Could you have filled in the gaps with clear frit? BTW - Thanks for a very interesting tutorial!
habilidade é tudo parabénssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Thanks Susan. I did try it pretty hard to make a design on a small piece like a pendant. Do you have a video of a pendant that you have made?
Rebecca Allison I haven’t tried this technique with a pendant sized piece. But I’d like to try!!!
How do you cut the glass in a nice round shape?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi Susan, do you know what the name of that tool is? So cool.
Karen Earnhardt I don’t know the name of it but it’s used to carve things like watermelons & make decorative fruit sculptures.
@@SusanMcGarryGlass seen tool on line almost like this under garnishing tools :)
Can you use powder frit instead of fine frit for this project?
did you use the same coe : 96 or 90 better question did you use 90 frit and 90 glass
96 frit and 96 glass together

Love it!.. where did you get the round glass
Bevvy PryearR the round glass came from a piece of square glass & my circle cutter. 😁
Susan, what is the name of the scoop p,ease? Thanks so much for all the giving you do.
Anna Kleimer I wish I knew the name of the scoop. I found it at one of those “Everything’s a dollar” booth. It seemed to be a kitchen tool.

Search for a Scoopula. I used this tool in chemistry classes it's a great tool for handling small amounts of any crystal or powder material.

It looks good except I got lost right at the start.... it would have been very useful to explain what 'frit' is.
Thanks and what is the name of the colour you used?
issam salha It was a long time ago but I believe I used 013 White, 100 Black & 132 Driftwood gray (Bullseye).
Susan McGarry Glass
Is it normal pigment?
issam salha I’m not sure what you mean. If you check out the colors on www.BullseyeGlass.com it might answer your question.
Susan McGarry Glass
Is this a pigment?
issam salha it’s fine glass frit.
Why does it have to be 6mm?
@Lynn C thanks
