  • New Speaker: Eminence 620H 6.5" Hemp
Audio snips are 1 - A 440 test tone; 2 - Hofner guitar (neck pup); 3 - Hofner guitar (bridge pup); 4 - Takamine guitar.
Sequenced like this: 1 old speaker; 1 new speaker; 2 old speaker; 2 new speaker; 3 old speaker; 3 new speaker; 4 old speaker; 4 new speaker.
Original sounds recorded on looper to be EXACTLY the same signal playing through the amp (line in, no tone or vol adjust) with the different speakers mounted in the amp box, then recorded on Zoom H4n.
The A-440 (conveniently generated by the MicroCube) was recorded with the orig speaker before I hacked it (as well as after). However the guitars were an afterthought, so my remounting of the orig speaker was a bit kludgy (cardboard baffle) after I'd cut the larger hole and 2nd port.

Very nice 👍🏼 All cut with a large coping saw 🤔 Even added the extra Port 👍🏼

I made the same mod... Except I rear mounted the speaker which required no surgery on the amp. Didn't even cut the hole bigger. Sounds fantastic.

Hello, Gareth! Why are you placing speaker after wooden panel, not on front side of it? It'd look much better.

I probably did that because of how the other speaker was. Unconcerned with appearance of actual speaker as I put a tie-dye cloth in front.

A form of neurosis no doubt. Thanks for caring.
