I use the 24" when I'm tearing out trees and ripping roots. But if I know I'll be digging a lot or smoothing out I'll swap to the 36" the 36" is just aggravating with the style thumb that on there picking up smaller stuff. But the machine has no problem with the 36"
I'm skeptical of these computer electronics on these machines. Not that they are not amazing, just be hard to find the bugs and expensive to fix after warranty. Would love to have the 309, but wonder if Cat needs customers with deep pockets or lease type companies
I've worked on a lot of electric over hydraulic and pneumatic stuff and like you said, it's very hard to find and troubleshoot. The way the fuel pump and travel beeper are acting I'm thinking something electrical is failing. And yes the prices of these machines right now are absolutely stupid. I wouldn't have been able to get this machine with the prices now.
What's up bro. I believe it's around 270-280 right now. I have a video that shows the hours when it first started having trouble. I think it was around 230 to 240.
They have. They just can't get to it right now and I need to finish this job before I'm without a machine for weeks. They said to just keep an eye on it until they can get to it. I really haven't been running it much with all the rain.
I talked to the mechanics when they came out to look at mine and they said they haven't seen any trouble out of them. Other than just neglect and misuse
What size bucket you using on your 309? Torn on the 30 and 36 myself, leaning towards the the 30".

Sucks to hear about the 309. Has cat not been helping with the issues?

Do you know of anybody else having trouble with Cat excavators?
I talked to the mechanics when they came out to look at mine and they said they haven't seen any trouble out of them. Other than just neglect and misuse
