When I watched this episode as a teenager I thought Yueniang was stupid. I felt that Chenxi's "cute lie" was not a big deal. Now that I'm in my 30's, I finally understand Yueniang's feelings.
@@himaririku5289 I think Yue Niang wanted to be a woman who could make her own independent decisions, rather than been trapped in another traditional household where she had to abide by traditions.
Actually she should just go ahead and accept the offer the proposal if she really care and wanted to give her granny a better life. The rest of the tragic wouldn't happen too. Maybe she just didn't love Chen Xi enough to begin with that's why.
She is still thinking about her ma ma. If she is married to Chen Xi while her ma ma is still alive, her ma ma who left in Huang family will face difficulty.
I wish Ch8 did an alternate ending when she accepts Chen Xi’s proposal- all the tragedies wouldn’t happened if she accepted him. She shldnt be angry that Chen Xi lied about his background because this is the only way he can marry her. But I also understood how she did not want to be married to be in another controlled environment. Chen Xi and Yue Niang were matchmaker in heaven. If only they showed the fans that to watch! 🥺

They are together in 2020 version but sadly, her mama dies. If she’s chosen the lao tai tai’s offer, her mama would have been in a better life at lao taitai’s place Moreover, lao taitai likes Tianlan her mama very much..
It seems dumb but the main thing is she doesnt want to be controlled by any one and is only putting up with the abuse of the Huangs just so she can take care of her Ma Ma

Jeanette Aw has great acting skills in both roles as Juxiang & Yueniang. I really love it & enjoy this Drama very much.

我覺得錫兒其實也很勇敢的，為了她更是
如果她真的夠堅定 他甚至可以為了她離開家裡
或者不會讓她就在家裡受傳統束縛
後面劇情都演了，最先到火車站要一起私奔的是錫兒
知道了玉珠的遭遇但也不退縮的也是錫兒，
因為他知道這樣就代表玉珠白白犧牲了
以前會覺得很難過，
可現在的我會覺得，
可能月娘真的不夠陳錫的愛那麼深。
老太太是位很通透的长辈，明知道发生什么事儿，却不动声色化解，也顾及到每个人面子。
结果选了一个最拉胯的媳妇还不如美玉

女主真的想太多 ..因为他骗你也不是很严重的骗吧 .. 耍脾气 ..才会发生后面玉珠的事情..最可怜就是玉珠 。。。
一开始觉得是无聊的肥皂剧剧情- 女主角发现男主角是大少爷就倍感羞辱选择分手之类，但我却在这个剧里看到了女权主义最核心的地方：我们女性一辈子真的要围着男人转吗？我们的一生可以是律师医生CEO，不必只在厨房卧室。
