The dialogue about free will blew my mind. The fighter (who does “mind over matter” for a living) argues in favor of fisicalism, and the engineer (who does “matter over mind” for a living) defends genuine free will. Even knowing who these two people are, it still is amazing...
By the way, Lex, suffering is not sufficient, even though it might be necessary, as you often suggest (with a hint of Westworld).

For such a smart guy this is one thing he won't budge on and he's putting himself at such risk. I think he needs to roll with his tie on so he learns in a safe environment that he shouldn't wear a tie.

I’ve met tons of people in MMA from Dana White to legends like Dan Henderson, Wand and others. Georges was by FAR the greatest. Great with the fans. Humble. Engaged. Totally respectful and this was when he was literally sitting on top of the MMA world. I watched him work with a young man, disabled. He spent half an hour teaching this kid how to pass the guard.
