Your Sig planes are beautiful!
Really nice! I'm halfway through building one, and seeing yours is inspiring. Well done!
fabulous planes, the MkII was my first airplane
Wow, great looking build!
You did a Beautiful job. You are a modeler
Some of the best kit bashing I've ever seen. Great work!
Thanks I appreciate it! Was a ton of fun to customize this Kadet and put my own custom spin on it.
Absolutely beautiful! I followed the build on FB and have lots of ideas I'd like to incorporate on my own MkII build now.
I've had it out 3 more times since this video. I have the CG 1/2" behind the aft "limit" and it flies great. Still moving the pack back a bit at a time. It's pretty solid on all positive G maneuvers but it will tumble pretty well when you go high rate on the elevator. Lands nice and slow and gentle with flaps. I'll do an update video next time I get out and show more of what it can do with these mods. Yet it still flies like a trainer when you just cruise around. Super fun and super happy with it. I have some drawings of my mods if you are interested in them.
@@LilSkiRCthat'd be great! I'll reach out to you on discord which was what led me here.
Great kit bash!
Very nice! The Kadet was my first. Didn't look like that! 🙂
Great video! ! ! !
And nice Kavalier as well, do you use a special head mount for the camera?
I have a hat that has a gopro mount on it. With the this and earlier videos I was using a gopro 8 with the most narrow view field it supports. Recently though I experimented with a cell phone mount that attaches to the gopro mount on the hat. In general the phone has less fish-eye and also can do 2x zoom. I tried the 2x zoom on the latest video of the Deflatlon. Not perfect but works pretty well. This video was the first cell phone test at 1x with the Deflatlon. ua-cam.com/video/wRJd1FX7i0s/v-deo.html
Nice plane and flight, maybe You can help me with a question, I bought a kit of the seagull swift trainer it’s 63´ wingspan from gator rc , dou You think I can use the same set up that You have in the cadet, (sunny sky 3520 780 kv and 80A Esc?’…thanks
I think it would pull it around no problem. The Kadet is right at 5.4lb and it pulls it around with authority. The specs on the Swift say 5.5-6.2lb. So if you are able to keep it light closer to 5.5 I think it would perform great. Even if it was near 6lb I think it would still be a solid power plant.
Gorgeous Mkll Awesome job. I like that idea of the landing gear. I will try that on my senior KADET that I’m building.
