How To Wrap Video Game Controller Cables

- Lately I've noticed a trend in wrapping cables around the controller. In this video I show what I believe to be the best practice for wrapping cables and gives some reasons why.
Here is a link to the velcro I use (not sponsored by Amazon or the velcro company): www.amazon.com...
I love that you show the process three different times; studies show hearing something three times helps the person hearing it retain the information.
Repetition is key to learning something. So I either did it 3 times or you'd have to watch the video 3 times. Oh. Wait.
Simple task but detailed right! Thank you.
No problem! Thank you for checking out The video. May your cables last a long time 😊
@@WavesNGames May your interest in making good videos last a bit longer than just a long time!
Take care!
So many ways to wrap your cords. Def know about this technique. Good way to cable manage as well.
I really think that velcro is under utilized in cable management. Thanks for watching!
@@WavesNGames that's for sure
Well done Maestro. I do the exact same thing only when I dont have velcro I use hairties lol. I found velcro to be very useful with securing cables. People I knew often taped them together which is only one time use, leaves residues, and possible damage depending on the tape. With velcro just tie it back up over and over and dont lose it lol.
Funny I used to do the same thing with my N64 controllers too. Well done sir!
I used to work at Game Stop and people would bring in their cables with tape on them. I always thought they were just trolling us haha
This is also how electical extenstion cables should be wrapped and Instrument and XLR/Speaker cables. This is why when I break down either my DJ setup or Guitar equipment at a gig and people ask to help I don't let them do the cables cause they just end up a tangled mess not to mention break. I hate when I see the over the arm and elbow technique UGH!.
Haha I totally know what you mean! I used to run PA systems for my college and I wouldn't let anyone touch my cables. You can carry the big stuff but stay away from my cables haha.
Amazing, thank you!
Glad I could help!
Very useful advice.
Thanks for checking out the video
Amen! This and how people ignore cable burn just drives me nuts!
Yaaaasssss!
So many times I have found controllers and then seen how others wrap the cords and I am like, please no...it is too young. Lol
Some people just like to watch the world burn Linda.
Thank you for these bear hands.
I'm glad the video helped.
I wrap my cords all around me until I'm a controller mummy and then chase Lady Laci through the house.
*Insert joke about getting a room*
I’ve always tied my controllers by creating a loop at the top, then wrapping the rest around the controller. So it kind of looks like you can pick the controller up like you are carrying a suitcase.
Interesting idea. It does alleviate the tension where the cable connects to the controller but you can still run into pressure as the cable wraps around the edges of the controller.
What about PS1?
I'll make another video for that haha
@@WavesNGames Can you link me the video after please I recently got a PS1 controller and don't want to damage it so I would love it if u could make one :) Also will it be uploaded today?
@@beyond_5dtemp oh I thought you were joking because I've had a lot of friends joke about how I did 3 controllers.
You can follow the same idea of the over/under method with the PS1 controller. The main thing is to make sure you're not wrapping them around the controller itself.
👍
If only I knew this
Hopefully you do now. Thanks for watching!
i just fold them up but naked
It's always sweeter with cables wrapped by Peter ;)
You didnt fold up and velcro your cable did you Dan?
Awesome...another title for this video could be stop f**king up your controllers a**holes, lol.
If I titled it that I'd get a whole different crowd in here haha
