Glad to see someone finally thoroughly pre-treat crochet hair. I don't think ppl understand this stuff is made in factories, with chemicals. I treat all my hair, even brands I've never had issues with. Thanks for schoolin your viewers.
I'm glad to see it because I'm itching. This afri naptural beach curl has me itching.
I itch badly at times despite oiling and moisturizing. So when you pretreat the hair, how long does it take to dry and where do you hang it??
#Facts...I had to learn the hard way after I installed some faux locs. My head was itching so bad after 2 days, and none if tutorials on UA-cam that I had watched mentioned soaking the hair in Apple cider vinegar. I was pissed. But at least I did my braids myself, so there was just time lost, but not money.
@@kishadivine I do everything with the braids before preparing my real hair, so the braids can dry in front of a box fan. I soak my hair in apple cidar vinegar, shampoo and conditioner the braids, put them in front of a fan to dry. By the time I'm done shampooing, conditioning, drying and braiding my real hair. The braids are normally dry by then.
OK this is great to know because I’m about to do me and my daughters hair in some awesome black and blue locs but I definitely don’t want us to be itching or suffering so I’m gonna go get some apple cider vinegar thanks for the tips!
I tried this look when the video was first posted. I had to come back to this look for my next trip to Jamaica. Y'all pray for me because the last time I think I made it too thick. This time I'm going to slow down and take my time. Mama is the GOAT and this video stays relevant!!!!
I'm rocking this hair right now with these two colors. I love it. I've received lots of compliments.😀
Honnneeyy, you did that! It’s so beautiful! Yes we need a tutorial on the foundation and how you strategically crocheted the hair in the braids. ❤ love it
Man, I HATE when I have JUST put in a crochet style and vowed to keep it in before trying something new. THEN you go and put up a bomb tutorial like THIS!! This is soooooooo lovely and natural looking. I will wait until you put up the follow up video. Cause you have just given me new hope about the gogo curl install. I should have NEVER looked at this video...lol As always great/superb work! Oh and thanks to you, I have added the "individual" braid technique to my crochet styles. Makes a world of a difference. Thank you!
Ikr u gota stay off UA-cam.
this is me lmao. I told myself that I'm just going to start making crochet wigs instead.
@@CinemaDoll137 I was thinking the same thing...🙄
I swear... I feel like a crocheted hair is the way to go when traveling 💖
"electronic shaving machine" Absolutely, loved your description of the trimmers a.k.a. clippers. Your final look was gorgeous.
Taste Pink--- Your videos are 🔥. You gave me the confidence to create this look by myself!! Compliments all over the place. The instructions you gave for prepping the hair, for protecting and braiding my hair were so good. So $34 and 4 hours later I'm serving Caribbean Queen, Sis!. Hugs
GIRLLLLLLL you got me out here waiting for the beauty supply to open. This town won’t know what hit them 💁🏽♀️💁🏽♀️. This style is stunning and so are you. Love it 🥰
The Future are you ok? Have you eaten? Is your day going well? Take care of yourself
N S gurrrl this hairstyle was a must. And it’s affordable? It’s a winner
I bet you looked fabulous! 💖
Finding Strength facts😂
Finding :b=)///
I never thought to wash the hair and I never thought to shape up my nape. Thanks!! My hair is hang drying now and while I was soaking and washing that it gave me the opportunity to deep condition, treat and moisturize my hair.
Shelby Green how did your hair turn out?
When she started to crochet with the little piece of hair 😑😳 it’s gone take me two days to complete this style
I doubt it unless you try
N my ten mnth old just started steppin this gone take me an wk to finish.. who gone help me tke it out lol
😂
😂🤣🤣 right
AND you will have some Angela Bassett arms as a result too. Win-Win!
This is the most in depth tutorial I've ever seen. Never seen anyone wash the hair or touch up the kitchen... SUBBED!
Awesome! You remind me of Angela Simmons, even your voice.😁 I have used Cocoa Curl but didn't like it, it ended up frizzy after a while. But I never prewashed it! I'm going to try this, thanks for the lesson!
I also love how you love to travel. I also love traveling, just got married in Hawaii and looking forward to traveling with my husband from now on.
Girl you're a G. How you crocheted the back of your head without looking is amazing!
Girl You look absolutely beautiful and so does Greece!
Thank you so so much!!!
Your glow is amazing. Hair is vacation ready!!
Yessss!!!!! Thank youuuuu!!!!
You slayed that style!!! I absolutely loved the end result and your braid pattern gave you more versatility. I can't braid a cornrow to save my life, but babygirl, you DID that. And the end result was beautiful. I enjoy following your channel. You give me life. I'm going to try to learn how to do a crochet style. Love this. Thanks for sharing and being so detailed in your processes of hair styling mastery. ❤️💯💋
You and Greece look so good together 💜 love the hair, and, yes detail that density trick. We want it; we need it, so yes.
Thanks for info for pre treating hair before applying. Other UA-cam Channels never tell you about pre treating. Thanks again. I’m doing this myself, so will let you know how good I did. 😊
JESUS that looked good. This is how i wish my natural hair looked lol That long and that full.
I had the luxury of going to Greece around 2000 while I was in college. So fantastic and beautiful. My favorite island was Hydra. Such an amazing experience!
Gurl, you look beautiful! It is very important to wash that hair first before putting it in your hair - it's dirty!
Thank youuuu!!! And you're absolutely right!
Ok so of course I've gotten bit by the crochet bug. I'm soaking the hair at this very moment but my question is how do you dry it? Put it under the hair dryer? Can I put it in the clothes dryer? Or does it have to be air dried? I'm letting it soak until 6 (8 hour soak) then what?
shawbeartm1 this is my question as well, I just got the hair soaking now. I was gonna just air dry it but I also have a tray for my clothes dryer where I usually dry my bundles on low...wondering if this would work on this hair as well? It’s my first time trying crochet, wish me luck!! 😂
@@annifo just air dry overnight. Its synthetic hair so it won't take long to dry
shawbeartm1
I usually let it air dry.
I soak it for about 4 hours, then rinse and lay it on a towel on my table and dry over night. And absolutely DO NOT put it in the dryer! 😜✌🏽
The crown technique is awesome. I would have never thought of that. Thank you.
Why is this look with the white top giving me some Janet Jackson That's The Way Love Goes?
😭😭😭 I was definitely asked if I was related to Janet Jackson while I was out there and all I could do was laugh 🤣
Please do a make up tutorial. What brand and color make up do you use? Please share. Thank you.
I freaking love this look yasss
Where you located?
Indiegirl007 why was i playing this song as i read this comment. crazy 😩😂
Yes, pls. create a video showing how to to the spacing at the crown to create natural volume. I am a newbie but don't want to have hair that looks like I am.
Babygirl! This is EVERYTHING! This hair is Fabulous! I’ve been trying to decide on a different protection style and This Is It! I’m putting this on my Facebook page so my stylist can see it as well as my friends and family. And I’ve taken detailed notes on every step you took. Thank you for giving us your techniques. I’m sure my friends and family will be her subscribing right away.
Everything from start to finish just amazed me. I commend you for your patience. The job was beautifully done. I wouldn’t be able to do it, but it looks amazing
Yes sis a video on the technique & crochet styles are always nice
You make me want to do this look so bad. It seems to be so versatile and I love it. There is a first time for everything
Girl I be loving your crochet braids they be popping
So g glad you told folks to wash this hair before an install. I've used it off and on since 2010 and love go go curl the best but to get the best look out of it and to avoid irritation from the product washing it first is a MUST.
I wish I could do my own hair like you. People I find never make it look so amazing. You killin it sis... love you #BlackGirlMagic
Thank you so much!!!! 😌
Your hair looks incredible! I really like how you are so detailed in explaining the process!
I just took my hair down I had the Mane Concept hair Waterfall curl very similar out outcome a great summery style great quality of hair I wore it for my birthday last month
Repeat after me "Taste 👏🏽 PINK 👏🏽 can 👏🏽 do 👏🏽 no 👏🏽 wrong 👏🏽!" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yessssss diva slayyyyy! That’s my kind f style, especially since this is something I can wear in a business suite.
Professional women can’t wear blue and green hair in the computer science field.
Honey you did that! Slayed, one of the best crochet I’ve seen!
I'm doing this tomorrow 😁😍👌🏾 thanks sis. Definitely gonna do that pre treat to the bundles too.
@TastePink you are the bomb! I love all of your videos and your personality is 💯! You really take the time to list a lot of information below you videos to help your subs be successful in doing these styles! I totally appreciate all of your efforts my sistah!! God bless you!!
I was just thinking about what my next hairstyle was gonna be and then this popped up YASSSS 😍😍
This is by far my favorite crochet video. I watch it over and over, thanks for sharing this video taste pink
Wow sis! That hairstyle is fIrE..💥💥💥
Thank youuuu 💖💖💖💖
@@tastePINK How do you deal with tangling and detangling this hair?
First of all this technique and style is EVERYTHANGGGGGGG❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
😍😍😍🥰 amazing sis!! Thank you for the braid pattern. Will try it very soon.
I watch this video twice a week ❤
Sis! You have perfected that method!!! Super Bomb!! Definitely my next look!! 💋
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 thank you so much! I hope you loveeeeee this style as much as I do! 💖
I just wanted to say Thank You!❤🙌🏾👏🏽 for showing the 1ST MOST IMPORTANT step on how to treat the hair before installing it. And because of that you now have a new subie🤗😁. So many UA-camrs' skip this step and just install the hair straight from the pack🤦🏾♀️ which is a BIG NO-NO!!!! You have to treat it 1ST or end up in a world of pain, lose of time and money.
I love the braid pattern and will be installing on my next crochet style 😍
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 good luck !!
Thank you from a sister in Hawaii. I love all the tips and how you take you time and explain the why you do what you do. Very helpful.
Ummm this color and look is everything on you😩😩😩😍😍

GIRLLLLLL I have just joined the families thank you for this. I am currently deployed and need to do something with my hair. Thank you again for the technique
I would love to see this hair used in a braidless crochet style! Looks beautiful!!!!!
SIS YOU DID THAT LOOK SO WELL! YOU MADE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS-SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL
Love this look on you! Gorgeous! Yes, show us how you do that left and right thingy!💙
I loved this tutorial. It was very informative, I never pre treated/ washed my weaves before going to the salon but I just started teaching myself to do my own so this was very helpful. Thank your
You did a wonderful job. This will ve my next style. Thanks a bunch beloved.
I love this video, the close-ups are awesome. You are the queen with crochet.
Mousse can help tame the frizz. I use it when I do crochet braids with curly hair. Lovely video
Frizz is inevitable over time. Plus, mousse is only good in moderation, in the beginning, as after while... it leads to product build up or residue on synthetic hair because synthetic hair fibers don't absorb product. In using too much mousse, the hair can begin to retain an unpleasant or noticeable smell or even a sour smell (especially for those who are more active). There's a reason I titled this vacation hair lol 😌 I got y'all.
tastePINK, I use water in an old spray bottle on my synthetic hair to help with the frizz & use African Pride Braid Spray with Tea Tree & Peppermint Oil close to my roots. It makes my hair smell good & helps my hair grow. I use that shampoo & conditioner you used in the video on my synthetic hair but I knew nothing about the apple cider vinegar! I’m gonna start using that because I definitely want to do this look. You looked amazing. And your skin is flawless ❤️
@@tastePINK Truth! You know exactly what you're talking about. I've kept my hair fresh without mousse.
@@tastePINK Thank you for this awesome and informative tutorial! Did you say to repeat the overnight soaking or is once enough? And is the purpose of the pretreat to keep frizz at a bay a little longer, or simply just to clean it?
@@bukiboluro-ajayi9985 Thank you so much for tuning in! You don't have to re-soak the hair overnight, but you want to immerse the hair in water (and ACV) for at least 10-15 minutes just to remove any excess chemicals. If you're pressed for time and don't want to re-soak the hair again, double the amount of shampoo and add 1/2 tbsp more of apple cider vinegar (ACV). I hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing, and you looked nice. I am going to give it a try I am 46 and currently recovering from a broken leg so you know I am getting to the hair salon as often.
That’s so cute I’m get that hair💇🏽♀️ style Love 💞 it thanks for Sharing ✨💖💞💖✨
Yes please to a video on upkeep and maintenance! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💗
That’s crochet!!!!! I need to send this video to my stylist cause my hair has been lookin the same way for 2 years now! 😣
Our country starts the formal flowing full locks that shine and glow as you stride for hair perfection. Beautiful craft women-ship.
As usual @tastepink you are doing that damn thing! Love the look and I hope your trip was amazing!
This is the first time I have commented on this channel, but GIRL, I love this hair so, so much. I know for a fact that I will be using this hair and hopefully it will turn out like yours! It is the BOMB!!!! I really hope that you had a wonderful vacation. God bless and take care😊
this was SO BOMB!! I can't even
🤣🤣 ayeeee! Thank youuuu!!!!
You’re skin tone is magical ✨🤎
Absolutely GORGEOUS! Definitely doing this for my upcoming vacation
thanks for sharing sis!
Thank you Dear....so simple and very pretty....you look like a doll.
Could you show how you trimmed it and tamed the frizz. The final look didn't seem as bulky and big
I did not trim this hair at all lol. It is super long. I would've shown that step because it would have been critical to the overall look. Synthetic hair decreases in volume over time, especially since I wore it in a ponytail or bun a lot, which is which I don't worry about volume in the initial stages. Also, I have a nighttime routine linked in the description where I share tips on twisting the hair in sections which will help with volume. Be sure to check it out. Hope this helps.
tastePINK I was wondering the same as @Capreshia as for what you did to tame it because it did not look as big as when you finished installing. It looked really big right after; however, on the shots afterwards, it didn’t look as big, which I love.
This is IT👏👏👏👏 Getting this for my Cruise October 2022
This is gorgeous. Great job. Thank you for the video.
Beautiful crochet pattern. GREAT model that makes this process look Applied seamlessly integration .Shalom
Gorgeous!!!!!!
The fact that you’ve been poppin since 2012 is so lit to me ... loves you
Wow Thanks Sis😊 I finally did this and you did not lie. Hair and mix is gorgeous 😍 it's big hair, which I love but a lot of tangling, but all good!
Greece looks so beautiful! I hope you enjoyed the trip! Your hair looks amazing! I thought they were micro braids. Please do a video describing the process more in depth? P.s. new subbie!🙂
This is beautiful. I would do this after a good wash day. Like with a good conditioning treatment and ricewater. Straighten with no heat of course then I would secure my hair with oil soaked rubber bands because I don't cornrow yet. I would install this and just oil my scalp with a bottle. I feel like this would grow my hair. Sis is out here changing the game....
The best tutorial I've ever watched and so detailed. Nicely done and hair is wonderful!
I enjoyed this video you did not come across saying it should only take and hour to do at home which is incorrect. You gave me tips on how I can split the hair up I'm getting ready to try it now. I just love how the baby take over the video. Go Diva!!!
Why is her voice so soothing I enjoy watching the video without the fast forwarding
Looks amazing! One of the best crochet tutorials I’ve seen. Very informative and detailed.
Very thorough explanation. Love your style. Looks very good. I will be trying this next round. I am glad you showed how to tuck ends of braids in. I do not know why the thumbs down, her method was thorough, her hair looks gorgeous and she is a very pretty lady.
Yassss! Beautiful! I’ll have to try go go curl!
I don’t follow a lot of beauty creators on here. But, your styles really speak to me. I am gonna try these gogo curls
Beautiful, loving the style. Question: After washing the hair, how do you dry it?
Hooded dryer. So the roots get dry. Because if not fully dry your hair can sour.
Hang the bundles of hair to dry. It does not take long for synthetic hair to dry, at all. Place the bundles FLAT onto a towel or hang them on hangers and let them drip dry. Make sure they're 98% dry before installing. Synthetic will continue to dry during the install, if there is only a small amount of moisture remaining.
@@tastePINK where can I get the hair, the beauty supplies are out of it here in Nevada
Lady, you are CRUSHING THIS!!!
Love this style. All that hair and still a sleek pony. But did she say shaving machine? 😂
Beautiful Girl you’re doing great things !! So proud of you.. Continue living your best life.
Blessings
This is so beautiful. How do take the hair apart without getting it tangled. That keeps happening to me ❤️❤️👍👍
Colleen Raymond Cut it down to about an inch of the braid it’s on, and then take out the French braid as you normally would. You can pull out the hair as you go. Of course, if you’re trying to save the crochet hair this won’t work.
You are GORGEOUS! And your braiding pattern for this is genius! Thank you for sharing!
Does the pretreatment help with tangling. I’ve used this hair before and after about a week the tangle was horrible.
true, it seems like once it get wet its hards and tangles.
Even before you install it, you can tell it tangles a lot.
The out come is so beautiful! Tangleling and matting is the reason that I don't do crochets. The customers complaining can be overwhelming
Agreed. Tried this hair and it tangled horribly. Hers looks way softer than n it is, she def trested it with other stuff.
@@simone1636 Agreed 💯 percent but the look is beautiful tho
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! Question: Can you swim with this hair?
i leave to Hawaii on the 28th and though I have long thick hair, I don't want to be bothered. I'll be doing this. Thank you!
The anchoring of your base is ammmazing
Looks awesome!!! How do to remove it when you knotted it like 7 times? Could you reuse the hair?
I actually use gogo curl myself and knot it the same amount of times and the front of mine are usually even smaller. I just cut at the knot and pull the hair out it's super easy. I've never reused as I would imagine it would be hard to preserve the integrity of the hair after so long and bein knotted so many times. Plus, it's like 5/6 a pack...shrugs...
What i do is crochet the hair on a braid cap and then crochet the hair around the perimeter of my head to give a more natural look
