Super helpful!
My daughter and I did the Moonlight Ride July 3rd this week. Great ride, but you have to try to keep up with your group at night. There were 3 groups and we backed off from the 1st group since I had to stop twice and rest. My fat tire bike was stuck in the highest gear and we ended up with the 3rd group. I'm a bit overweight and 74 with a hip replacement.....still it was worth it....but next time will go in the daytime, Lord willing, to better enjoy the views and go at my own pace!
We rode part of the trail. We thought we would start at the bottom two percent grade is not bad. Except for the lose gravel that my bike was fish tailing through. My wife and I on our tandem could have made it except we were pulling our daughter on her bike behind us. I want to do it again the correct way from the top. If the trail conditions are good enough then ride back up to the top. HEADLIGHTS are best to bring most tunnels you can't see light through them.
Thank you so much for this video! Im trying to plan out how to do this and if it will work for our family (variety of ages). There's a ton of videos of the gorgeous scenery but I also needed info on logistics! Thanks!
what a zoo!! to many folks. you must have went on a weekend? you getting a shuttle for 15 miles. ride back!! I want to do this trail.nice vid!!
rough ride
Its a ride well worth it
I would just ride back -- f that wait
How much and how long to do the 15 miles
Very nice video. Do you have any feedback on the parking situation at Pearson Trailhead? I'd like to drive there and park for the day (24' motorhome) and ride up and back down. I've not found much intel on PT parking. Thank you,
I was kind of saddened to see what is left of it. It looks nothing like it did back in the 70's when I worked there.
E trail this summer
I enjoyed the trail but felt that for the expense the trail should have been in better condition
i talked to one of the guys there and he seemed to be telling me without telling me that the gov-ment only allows them to do so much and no more. you are right its not pleasant to ride, though the scenery is very nice.
Don't you have problems running into the shuttle bus when you're heading down and it's heading up?
they kind of wait at the bottom for a full load so no worry.
The bus doesn't come back up the trail.
I just ran 7+ miles down and then 7+ back for a trail run. It's such a gorgeous trail. We've biked it once many years ago and that was pretty too.
Can you just ride back instead of taking the school bus?
yes one couple even beat the bus back, they were young
I’m 70 years old. Can I bring my electric bike or electric tricycle?
yes, make sure you have a very good light and i would not run it without suspension, its rough.and dont forget to lower the tire pressure. the coeur d alene is much nicer for our age,
