As soon as I saw the front panel of that I thought of my BK9206 power supply. Same layout, control and binding posts. Looks to be a very well built and capable unit. Thanks for the informative video.
Not so clear it the supply is really linear. It could still be, with electronic switching between taps. I would however than expect more fitler capacitors. The large inductors and not so many equal power transistors / FETs make me think it could also use a switched mode preregulator or maybe old style SCR based preregulation. There is defitely a linear regulator for the last step.
@6:50 I think what that means is how accurate the actual output is compared to the setting used, and the read back is how accurately it reads the actual voltage and current, so two things, one for the actual output vs set point, and reading vs actual, I hope that makes sense.
Thanks Scott, yes that makes sense, but i was more wondering about the Load Regulation, that goes prob. on top of this accuracy. so it would be more or less 5+3 mV in the worst case on full load. It is nicely build, and the fan is only on when needed so very quite most of the time, and a nice form factor, i like it.
Hey Tony!

Thank you for the review and look inside, Tony. Looks like a well built product - very useful. And it's linear - always a ➕️. Regards, David
Thank you David, 100% agree some proper build supply, now i need to find a spot for it, but i will for sure.

@@UlrichHarms-ci1ov Yes, very true. I am personally not a fan of pure switch mode power supplies for the bench.

Where is it sold?
Hi, in the video description i added now the link to the official iTECH Amazon store.
IanScottJohnston managed to hack something similar to give more output power from a higher model.
Thanks i will have a look
👍
Thank you!
