This has been my take for years. People don’t think, “OMG, that car has a Don’t Tread on me Stick, I better leave them alone”, or “ there goes a really badass, better leave them alone”; they think, “what a tool” or “that vehicle has free guns in it”
Stickers mark vehicles kinda like visible tattoos mark people. If someone or an entity, such as any 3 letter agency, is looking for certain people they look for tags such as bumber stickers or stickers in general. I hate to admit this but my neighbor through the woods is an ATF agent and we talk sometimes if one of my cows gets into his pasture. He has enlightened me on some interesting things.
Only when criminals fear death will they stop. Why is it that we have to keep caving to others. Don’t wear this, don’t open carry, don’t put whatever on your car…. I quess one could say I “cave,” because I don’t do any of the aforementioned, but it’s time to make criminals fear us, fear the law, fear punishment and for us to stop fearing living our lives! Oh, and don’t buy a Jeep, Tacama, large 4x4 etc.?
As long as those in power control the crime, we have to sit back and take it...I think if they let good people take care of the problem crime would drop to a fraction over night.
I don’t think you need a plain jane vehicle to not get broken into, they don’t care. Window tint so they can’t window shop and a car safe just in case you do need to leave something of value inside it. The stickers are a bit silly but like others have stated - the common criminal isn’t scared of the consequences anymore.
I never leave my stuff in vehicle. I plan accordingly. If I know I have to disarm as CCWer to a location, I will not bring it at all and its left at home. Advertising means youre asking for attention.
True wisdom spoken Abner! I'd also add that clothing choice can be a similar issue... Wearing tactical pants and Vet Bro shirts everywhere could get you that same unwanted attention and advertisement.
just as bad is the hoodies watching gun free zones for you putting away your edc rig in the car in the parking lot. one more reason gun free zones put the public in danger.
I'm surprised his employer allowed him to have firearms on property. I worked for Big Brown and was told I would be fired if I had any weapons on there property
Total agree with not advertising that you’re armed, then your wife goes around telling people that you are? My family knows that we don’t talk about who is carrying.
My Tacoma doesn't have any stickers on it. I work for Public Works department and our facilities have been broken into multiple times, and my truck has been gone through a couple of times as well, because Colorado like many places isn't a very safe state. Like our parents tell us when we're 16, never leave anything of value in your vehicle for a period of time, and certainly don't leave ANYTHING of value in eyesight within your car either. Sucks that it happened, but let this be a hard lesson.
Cars are not safes. If there isnt one thing that you mentioned that I couldn't open with the same tools it would take me to get into any car. Cars are not safes.
Guys, hidden compartments. Locking them up doesn’t work with the professional. They roll with bolt cutters, pry bars. Smash, cut and then grab. Great video though. 👍
Great advice sir. My brother had a truck that he put this giant sticker that read something like : “voted for Obama huh, do you feel stupid yet?” Someone threw a brick through it 😂 Merry Christmas and God bless.
@@ehornad have a hidden safe lagged down as well just in case I do need to leave anything. They make small center console safes and large under the backseat versions (for trucks). Well Over 50,000 firearms are stolen from vehicles every year. Thats at least 136 guns every day into the hands of criminals. Criminals who are often repeat violent felons. Stickers or not its completely irresponsible and unethical to leave unsecured firearms in vehicles.
I'm always amazed at the people with these stickers in their car. Including cops, I'm a. Retired Chicago cop. Put your stickers on your gun safes at home. Also, put your home safes in a closet or other out of sight place at home. My home and truck have nothing in view that would indicate I am a gun person. We also do NOT talk about guns or gun related subjects in public. Only my very close personal friends that live by the same code know anything about my collection. I also don't dress like a tactical knob. I'm an outdoor guy and wear outdoor brands, but no tactical looking or gun brand logo clothing.
Good stuff. It pains me to keep the stickers at home, but it is better that way. Clothing also. My situational awareness is horrid. Too safe of an environment I guess. Hard to train and keep up. Not much on the topic besides a few books.
@@onpsxmember I put all my stickers i get from firearm products on my safe. Never my vehicle. I however do have one on my vehicle and it's obscure, the Agilite Scorpion. Can't even tell it's a scorpion, it's my way of being defiant.:)
How does one effectively promote their right and the 2A activities without sharing/advertising? Genuine question. How do you normalize while also being secretive about it?
The two cannot and will not ever mesh. Your pride of supporting the 2A has to be kept under wraps. If you display it in any way, you make yourself a target.
@@Tier1Citizenyou'll never build public support that way though. Spend the $ and put a decent safe in your car. Not impossible to break into, but takes enough time they don't want to mess with it.
