It's just a basic concept in signals..... All he had done is sampling of continuous time signal to discrete sequence... So instead of multiplying the signal with impulse sequence in time domain it would be nice to see the frequency components by changing them intlo freq domain and then convuoluting them...
If you write simply equations without telling what each component is, no one will understand, unless he knows the subject
Only those will understand this lecture, who either knows this concept before or he/she poses a super-brain.
