It's his fault for sacrificing the entire interview for one question that isn't that central to her career.

Wow. The fact that he refused to accept it when a woman told him "No"--not just once, but repeatedly--is not a good look at all. Taylor handled it with grace and professionalism, but stood her ground firmly. This is an excellent lesson for all--women as an example of how to handle an overbearing, pushy bully; and men as an example of what not to do when told "No."
Wow. This man had the audacity to say "Let me give you some tips"
I admire her ability to stand up for herself at age 19. I don't think I had that.
Men always "know more about anything" when they argue with a woman.
He was so rude, annoying, and disrespectful to her nagging her with questions and things she said she didn't want to talk about. Taylor was so respectful telling him multiple times that she didn't want to discuss it. He should have just moved on from it the first time she told him to stop.
I can’t begin to imagine all the awful, degrading, disgusting things she has had done to her and said to her. And they would all be like him, feel justified because she’s in the spotlight. Im so grateful she won against that DJ that assaulted her too.
Omg his question at the end, I’m glad she didn’t stick around for that that would’ve made it even MORE uncomfortable that it already was 💀
God, it’s so sad how women have been treated like this so often that it was engrained into interview questions. Love you Taylor! Stay strong! Can’t wait for your version of Red!!! ❤️
The worst thing about this is that they wouldn't have done this to a male artist. If a male artist said, "I am done addressing this" they would have moved on. They only did this because she was a 17 year old girl.

What also annoys me is the fact that Taylor always gets blamed for milking out the incident, to use it as an opportunity to play the victim. When in reality everyone asked HER about it. As this video proves she wanted to move on from it pretty soon, but everyone just kept asking her about it. Her getting blamed for milking out the situation was probably exactly what she was afraid of from the beginning.

See, this is how Taylor handled the Kanye questions, yet the media started that "she likes to play the victim" over the Kanye drama, but I have never heard her say anything, that demonstrates that. She is so far from "playing victim", yet the phrase stuck, because her haters just kept repeating it so many times that people took it as truth, and began parroting the same statement. Like fox channel basically, it works, unfortunately. Interviewers become lazy, and don't research everything, instead they repeat what has already been said by past interviewers, assuming it must be true b/c several others have said it, so they too, end up spreading the "untruth" , and so it goes... on, and on.
That's why i hate media. They over exaggerate their propaganda.
for some reason I think quite a sizable amount of people get off on labeling someone who is legitimately a victim as “playing the victim“… Idk what part of human psychology is responsible for that but it’s absurd. It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so damaging.

@@justjenn83 i thought i was pretty clear regarding my use of the term media here because we were discussing this particular topic but let me make it clear what i meant by media in this regard.
I meant the media associated with sensationalism and celebrity "news" that cares about nothing but spreading a particular propaganda they're paid for. None of that is relevant and is mostly intrusive and made up and is highly damaging to both the consumer's mentality, especially impressionable consumers and the subject of the "news" .
@@justjenn83media can be distorted in multiple ways, not just when it pertains to celebrities. During the pandemic I learned a lot about politics (I do not take either side, more shades of purple) by a neighbor who is now retired from working in politics his entire life, and he never pushed me in one direction just taught facts and explained how things worked but I found different tv channels local and non local pushed different directions. When the riots were going on here in Minneapolis local channels were focused on different levels of the fires burning that included apartments, stores, police station and to protesters being arrested that were peaceful. And I also saw the coverage of the president speaking on the pandemic was covered differently. My own mother does not believe a certain someone said something about injecting disinfectant. Because the news Channel she watches never showed that. Yet the channel I watch went and had a sound bite that went the other direction and I still call that out as dishonest. 2 different directions. I happened to watch the entire thing live every day so I could see discrepancies on both sides. No matter personal opinions I think it should be honest and I think there should be more transparency. This is not to fuel anyone's opinions as the person in charge is different now and for my own mental health I would like to not hear anything political, the same way Taylor did not want to discuss Kanye.

I feel like nowadays artists are not just interviewed for their work but also for “drama” and their personal life because, sadly, it attracts more audiences. But I strongly believe that celebrities are not obliged to answer any question they don’t want to answer. The primary focus should be on their work. The interviewer was just plain rude.
Seriously! How about the gaslighting he was doing to the second woman, calling them “demands”, when it is a perfectly normal thing to have subjects you don’t want to discuss? And she did answer a few of his questions about the situation, but he kept dwelling on it, and giving Kanye credit for her work as an artist.
Yeah, that was his goal. Start more drama with a stupid question and then if she addressed it then he would keep continuing it with more "real quick" questions for the rest of the interview.
Nowadays? This has been happening for ages.
