That Warlock didn’t misplay by selecting Skulking Geist. They were preemptively hitting the Flare from your E.T.C to protect their Warlock Secrets, it’s actually really smart
it wouldve also removed the stealth from the opponent’s 2 copies of stranglethorn tiger

really? thats interesting! i looked it up myself; i guess the hearthstone wiki is wrong then, since it says (about cards that buff cthun like beckoner of evil): "This card's Battlecry will improve C'Thun regardless of whether C'Thun is currently in the player's deck or hand, or on the battlefield."

Yea, played 2 beckoner (+4/+4), the 4/2 with Divine shield (+2/+2), and 1 trigger off "CAN YOU HEAR IT'S CALL" (+1/+1).
The random C'thun buffers I had.
Saw C'thun in the sideboard as a 6/6, but as soon as it entered my hand it fixed itself to be a 13/13 as expected. Played the C'thun and it dealt 13 damage also as expected.
Seemingly C'thun has no issues being inside ETC. (maybe place him in there to stop a mutanus from gaining more than +3/+3 in stats or something [rather than +13/+13 or more]. then again, dirty rat feels way worse... so probably not...)
Just kinda interesting. May become relevant eventually.

The only thing this video has taught me is that Roffle is now going to have to answer "why not ETC manager in 'x' deck" for a long time in the foreseeable future.

Yeah I have yet to see an etc as an actual sideboard. Theotar honestly doesn’t count but I’ve only seen 1 so far. They’ve all been cards that they’d use anyway. Which is fine they never said he was but I’m sure it was the intent.
Have you considered renethal in the side board? He has a very start of game effect and ETC is a way to get around it!

She turned on the jailer even when he still had half her soul, then helped defeat him. She’s only “serving” a harsh sentence she willingly accepted.

My guess for the giestplay is their etc didn't have anything that interacted with the roffles deck, so they were grabbing stats. At least thats the most reasonable explanation I could think of anyway.
I actually dislike hearthstone a lot, but i randomly stumbled across your vids and enjoy your content. Keep it up!
Have you considered putting ETC into ETC so you can ETC while you ETC?
Hiding tech spells in the band in spiteful decks seems also kinda sick.
One possible justification for running C’thun in ETC is you could have ETC be your lowest cost minion so you can tutor it with stuff like witchwood piper. I wouldn’t necessarily call it good, but it is a reason. Unfortunately that option doesn’t matter though since “wherever it is” doesn’t count sideboard for C’thun buffs.
I just saw a comment saying OG C'thun does gain the buffs even on sideboard, I'm confused
@@DregunStash C’thun buffs target the player in a way. This is why C’thun stays even if it’s destroyed or discarded if you can generate another
@@DregunStash I was just responding to how they said it worked in the video, I haven’t personally tried it. I may test it later and get back to you on this, either way though my comment was more theoretical than practical, as if you were to run ETC as your smallest minion you lose a good chunk of the C’thun buff cards, arguably worsening the strategy more than it benefits it.
What cards buff Cthun that aren’t minions?
There are so many absolutely terrible druid players in videos for quite a while now, it's unreal. They either spam moonlight guidance into aquatic form or go coin dew proccess into aggro so often it's ridiculous at this point lol

Nice picks ETC. Using ‘Steady Shot’ often in the early game doesn’t seem like a good strategy, although, ironically, in the ‘damage quest’ it’s not a bad idea to ‘steady shot’ turn 2 and 3 to try and maximize damage.
It looks like someone is trying to copy my ‘even Hunter deck’ and I stole ‘spiteful summoner’ from Roffle from 4 years ago. Except my deck has like almost 24 2-cost cards. . . Even took out ‘spiteful summoner’ and most of the 8 card cards to try and kill them quicker. I e actually played this deck I’m going on about a lot but its boring/a chore to try to win with it.

Hello Roffle, i played HS since release of TGT, has 3k+ ranked wins in shaman (i only play shaman) but don't think i would continue playing it without you and Dane.
Im from East Asia and playing in Asian server is just too demoralizing due to Asian players are tend to be a super tryhard. I hit legend few times last and this year and all I see in every rank is just Pirate Rogue and Secret Mage. I really love your wacky decks and try it myself if it is shaman deck but it's really annoying when only decks you see in ranked match is aggro/tempo decks. Halp.
