Great video, thank you. The UDI website mentions that "For those of you who are going to work in the IT industry, the requirements for documentation are not as strict". I have a bachelor's degree in architecture, but I'd like to move to Norway as a software engineer, I have a few years of experience in software and a few projects in my resume, I also speak norwegian, if I get a job offer, can I apply for residence permit? Or do I need to have a bachelor's degree in software engineering? I would really appreciate any guidance, thanks.

Hello! Thank you for your question. If you have relevant experience in software engineering and a job offer, you can apply for a residence permit in Norway even with a bachelor's degree in architecture. The UDI may accept your work experience and projects as sufficient documentation. Speaking Norwegian is a big plus. Good luck!

The processing time for a Norway work permit typically ranges between 1 to 3 months for Skilled Worker Permits, including those for IT professionals like software engineers. However, this timeline can vary depending on factors such as the completeness of your application, the current workload of immigration authorities, and whether any additional documents are required. To avoid delays, ensure all documents are accurate and submitted promptly. For the most up-to-date timeframe, consult the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) or the nearest embassy.

It is feasible to get work in Norway with a degree from a community college in another nation, but it is dependent on the employer's and job market needs.
