The same thing happened to me and a friend the Chevelle was in gear when it started, fortunately the other car had a big bumper so we were just sore for a couple of days.

Yes it had some grease on the cylinders to keep it from getting surface rust, that’s the oil and the little grease left that’s smoking it all went away. Thank you and have a great weekend👍🏼AL

Thank you! Yes it has 67 rs fenders and the rear quarters had half panels and didn’t have the side marker lights cut out. It definitely has a mix. WOW new that’s awesome!! How did they ride back then any better or worse than how they are now, I’m very curious. Have a great night 👍🏼AL

Those gears though. I have 3.08s with a 295/60/15's in the rear and they don't sound like that. Mine is a 396 so it has a little more torque down low...
Yes I think they’re 272 gears. I do have a 10 bolt with 373 gears that would be perfect for it. My black Camaro has 308 gears in it and I love those gears. I really didn’t want to put a ton of money into it to keep it affordable for someone who wants a first gen Camaro. Have an awesome day👍🏼AL
@@keepitsimplegarage-xp1kk I can cruise all day at 75 mph with those 3.08s but I want to step up a little bit. As soon as the 295's are worn out, I'll change them to something much closer to stock height and then figure out if I want 3.36 or 3.55s in it. Great video series. Don't give that thing away, even back to the guy you bought it from. Your time and expertise is definitely worth $$$
@@Corvette.Ronnie My son’s car has 355 gears and 4 speed with 255/60/15 bfg tires and it is a nice cruiser. My 69RS has 373 with an overdrive automatic with 255/60/15 bfg tires and cruises very nice. They really are great cars👍🏼AL
Hey Al I just found out a 69 Camaro rs had headlight washers I saw you had an rs in another video does it have them and i can’t find any videos of that working was just interested thanks
Hello, yes headlight washers were an option. I don’t have any pictures but I did have one years ago and it worked off the washer pump for your wipers. My RS doesn’t have it, It looks like a small silver button just above the head lights. Hold on my friend mr. Wilson was just working on one. That's super that you got the car operating. I worried when the blue smoke appeared. That's probably the #1 thing I look for when I buy a car.

Good job/great car it appears to be a mix of 67/68 cars 68's had side markers.I bought a new rs/ss in 67 loved it.
