I just finished reading Monsieur Biver's autobiography and your Top 10 summary is spot on! For me his central messages are: 1. Go out, try out things. Passion does not fall into your lap, don't waste time waiting for it. Chase it, and let curiosity be your guide. 2. Try out things, allow room for failure. That's the path to innovation. Without innovation, there is no future. 3. Put things into perspective. A failure does not mean anything if you think about the whole duration of your life. 4. Be humble. 5. Learn from others. Listen. Ask a lot of questions. 6. Surround yourself with people that are better than you in a field in which you want to grow. 7. Don't listen to your ego. Success doesn't give you entitlement. 8. You don't need to reinvent the wheel, but your ideas need to be either a) first, b) different or c) unique. 9. Let doubt be your sparring partner for decisions, instead of letting it drag you down. And last but not least, 10. let love guide you. A life full of love is a life well lived. To pass on love is basically the meaning of life. Cheers from Switzerland!
I love his philosophy of sharing all you have received, when you share you are practicing either, and keeping on the right track it's a very important idea to success on your ideas and projects. THE DOUBTS are very important to share, if you don't share doubts you won't receive knowledge and without knowledge you'll be an ignorant, and the ignorance is dangerous.
JCB is an industry legend. What Hublot has achieved in such a short span speaks of JCB's character. It is my desire to one day get to meet him and hear him speak face to face.
A great man with a sincere passion... One often learns from those who truly inspire them to do their best. Mr. Biver is one of those prized individuals.
I love "using the mountains to put your problems into perspective". An old friend used to ask when I would talk about a problem, "Are your great-grandchildren going to read about this in the history books? If not, then just let it go."
All that matters is love. How much of love you shared. That's the universal principle of life. The more you share, the more your recieve😊 Secondly, I like #3: Putting things into perspective. Speaking to the mountains over his troubles. Beautiful....
# 7 - the value of innovation over knowledge - not a new concept but he put it together differently and it made me think; #9 taking the time to listen, observe and learn your craft - excellent! And I love that he talked about his one word "fusion"! Evan you have me paying more attention to the one word that each person/business incorporates, sometimes unknowingly into all aspects. Thanks!
JC Biver. My favourite to date. Our VR animation operation is still a work in progress going into Year 5. Your videos Even Get me thorough the tough days and I circulate them whenever possible. I suggest that you consider Michael OLeary from Ryanair for a Top Ten. Really interesting dude and after all it is still St Patrick's Day. One word! Knowledge
Me personally, I think number nine is the most important message! sit down..shut up, listen, look and learn bevor you think that you are a big shot! BE HUMBLE!
When I bought the first Big Bang in RG, and sent him an email he wrote to me with his personal extended warranty for my new Hublot. Bravo! He is the brand and he creates the message.
Shortly after this gentleman started to speak, I just stopped everything else, and focused on his thoughts intensely. He is brilliant to the Nth degree. In every one of the category he mentioned he said something, which broke a mold, which customarily shackles our thoughts. For example, when he talked about luck. It immediately felt right what he said intuitively as I listened to him. Or in his first point, when he talked about the watchmaker who constantly need to remind himself that he loves what he is doing, his life, his circumstances, he loves that screw he just drove-in etc. Independent to this but relevant, that scientist-researchers once made an experiment talking to the snow they collected for experiment. First they said derogatory things to the sample, the second time, positive, appreciative praises to the control sample. In the first instance, the snow crystals 'suffered' deformity, visible under microscope. In the second instance, they maintained their individual, highly aesthetical form. The result of the experiment remained the same, doesn't matter, how many times was repeated. They couldn't find any rational explanation for this phenomenon.
I love what he says about sharing at the end! As long as we keep to ourselves, we are screwed. Sharing is caring, because only together we can be happy and successful. This is why my #OneWord is #Together =) #BTA97 #BelieveNation
Couldn't agree more with you, Anita! :) Thank you for sharing with us and thanks for watching. Your one word is awesome! #Together #Believe #BelieveNation #BTA443 Luka

Bad translation: he said "dead fish in the Rhône",(and not "road") a river that flows close to Geneva going down into France and to the mediterranean sea in Marseille
