Well, I mean... She kills up to 6 shieldguards within her range, even if they were somehow flying, with one skill activation. Every 30 seconds. She's also untargetable during that. And all her damage is proportional, so buffs are very effective

It's frustrating. I like the animation on her S3 and I don't particularly mind the absurd stats powercreep. But, I vehemently hate that its autorecovery on a Swordmaster.
I heard she has the same VA as Haō from shaman king and that alone was enough reason, her being a carry and me not having uncle horse Chen or Irene it's just a bonus 😊
With her, she makes RS-6 to RS-8 a breeze. So glad I got her. Also if I may add, what makes her really good and how Degen is able to do so much damage is her talent. The fact her talent lets her pierce through defense, more enemy defense = more pierce, is insane. Do correct me if I am wrong though. Anyway, considering the amount of good limited operators we’re getting…I may need to get more money than what I get for being a seasonal tutor Edit correction: the fact her Tremble talent makes it where the affected enemies cannot normally attack is even more insane. It is no wonder Sciel and other Arknights UA-camrs uses Degen so much in IS stages.

I cleared all the stages in the game except WD-EX-8 and finally I can clear this stage too with degen. yes I do not have chen or irene or exusiai to delete the Emperor's blade.
So I just need eyja alter, surtr, degen, ray, shu, Wisadel, Logos, maybe Mumu cause she looks fun. The recent patches really do make me consider spending. Also lets be honest, Degen is stacked, up to interpretation, but yes she is STACKED. If that's not a reason to pull for her then I don't know what is.

Shu and snek man plus the r6 collab looks way more enticing for me so i’ll pass. Besides I guarantee that in 6 to 9 months from now a stronger, even more powerful guard will pop up, so there’s really no incentive when the powercreep is escalating

If you don't have boss killers or only have 1 of these (Mlynar, Typhon, Surtr, Chalter, Texalter) go for Degenbrecher. If you don't have high pressure defenders (Saria, Hoshiguma, or Nian) go for Shu.
Shu will be a lot harder to get in the future and Degen will get a rerun when her event comes back, she is also more replaceable than shu so go for the Chinese new year banner tbh

With shu and wisadel coming, she may be meta but she's not necessarily at all, and she doesnt even compare to wisadel, especially if you have mlynar, if not it's okay too
I'm so glad that I have started saving my pulls since before Eyja alter event. Might even be enough for all these upcoming insane banners and also a spark on Wis'adel banner.
Chens invulnerablility, Irene’s AoE. She’s better than both of them whereas Irene was a side grade to Chen. The only time S3 is “bad” is SP restrictions
Her module is a decent chunk of her dps since tier 1 is a flat 10% atk_scale bonus for her skill, tier 3 taker her talent 1 from 160% to 170% and gives an extra base 50 attack. If you're pulling degen then her module is fairly mandatory to maximise her potential killing power.

Tbh, boss killer on average get powercrept aroun 1-2 years. Supportive unit like skalter, shamare & aak is harder to powercrept
