Honestly, I will pull for degen and walter (while also sparking for mumu) and after that I won't care for meta (except for medics cause I really need s good medic like eyja or Nightingale) so I will only pull for characters I like whether they are good or not
Ch'en advantages: Untargetable, able to charge skills without hitting enemies, higher survivability, can focus damage on a single target.
Irene advantages: Higher damage, crowd control, better able to deal with crowds.
Degenbrecher: Fuckin all of the above but even better at it.
Seriously, it's absolutely ridiculous.
Seriously, why does HG envy her with sp/s instead of sp/atk like every other dualstrike guard? It's like they're afraid she wasn't op enough 💀

Well, I mean... She kills up to 6 shieldguards within her range, even if they were somehow flying, with one skill activation. Every 30 seconds. She's also untargetable during that. And all her damage is proportional, so buffs are very effective
she is not powercreep. Degenbrecher herself is comparable to Margareth in term of strength. she is Champions of Kazimier.

@@skarhabekgreyrukh8601 powercreep means that a new character is stronger than older existing ones without any downsides to balance them out, which is what Degenbrecher does. It's a matter of definition

Will say she she only gets def ignore when enemies have tremble. Enemies that are resistant to the debuff are *Checks list:* No one
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the chibi style commentary with the choice of the ost. 👍 I will be going for p4 ideally depending how the pulls are going.

The game's decided to not give me Mlynar, so I'll definetly pull for her.
It's frustrating. I like the animation on her S3 and I don't particularly mind the absurd stats powercreep. But, I vehemently hate that its autorecovery on a Swordmaster.
I'm going to pull her because she basically has Heavenly Restriction.

1) Shu banner.
2) Damn yellow shirt and a brown costume... who the hell thought it's a good idea.

I like her color palette. I think her uniform is more of an olive hue than brown.
I do like her colors. I do think she would look better in darker colors like black though

I heard she has the same VA as Haō from shaman king and that alone was enough reason, her being a carry and me not having uncle horse Chen or Irene it's just a bonus 😊

So I just need eyja alter, surtr, degen, ray, shu, Wisadel, Logos, maybe Mumu cause she looks fun. The recent patches really do make me consider spending. Also lets be honest, Degen is stacked, up to interpretation, but yes she is STACKED. If that's not a reason to pull for her then I don't know what is.
With her, she makes RS-6 to RS-8 a breeze. So glad I got her. Also if I may add, what makes her really good and how Degen is able to do so much damage is her talent. The fact her talent lets her pierce through defense, more enemy defense = more pierce, is insane. Do correct me if I am wrong though. Anyway, considering the amount of good limited operators we’re getting…I may need to get more money than what I get for being a seasonal tutor
Edit correction: the fact her Tremble talent makes it where the affected enemies cannot normally attack is even more insane. It is no wonder Sciel and other Arknights UA-camrs uses Degen so much in IS stages.

I cleared all the stages in the game except WD-EX-8 and finally I can clear this stage too with degen. yes I do not have chen or irene or exusiai to delete the Emperor's blade.

Shu and snek man plus the r6 collab looks way more enticing for me so i’ll pass. Besides I guarantee that in 6 to 9 months from now a stronger, even more powerful guard will pop up, so there’s really no incentive when the powercreep is escalating
Wanna ask, i have a roster of op that i wanna pull, but it doesnt suit with my cost so it makes me to critically think considering the need and want, and this is what i wanna ask, should i pull her even if I have irene and chen? Are both enough if sometimes there’s a content that needs swordsman? I just look for something enought to minimalize my cost for my roster of op.
With shu and wisadel coming, she may be meta but she's not necessarily at all, and she doesnt even compare to wisadel, especially if you have mlynar, if not it's okay too

I got her on my first ten-pull. Ironically, I had to do another 2 ten-pulls to get Leto, lmfao. But I also got Hoederer and the 5* rate up on my first ten-pull of that banner. Am I going to die soon? This streak of luck is unprecedented for me.

@@UnripeBeef I mean mlynar completely replaced SA s3 in 90% of use cases with the 10% being fringe scenarios when he isn't fast enough or the -10% redeployment is necessary, but go off.

As a diehard Irene fan I’m kinda sad about the powercreep, I wouldn’t even mind so much about the stats but the auto recovery is just a slap in the face lol. But them’s the breaks in a gacha game I suppose, and Degen is a great character, good luck to everyone pulling for her!
I'm so glad that I have started saving my pulls since before Eyja alter event. Might even be enough for all these upcoming insane banners and also a spark on Wis'adel banner.

Pull both xd. Shu probably higher priority but only because she's limited
If you don't have boss killers or only have 1 of these (Mlynar, Typhon, Surtr, Chalter, Texalter) go for Degenbrecher. If you don't have high pressure defenders (Saria, Hoshiguma, or Nian) go for Shu.
Shu will be a lot harder to get in the future and Degen will get a rerun when her event comes back, she is also more replaceable than shu so go for the Chinese new year banner tbh

Tbh, boss killer on average get powercrept aroun 1-2 years. Supportive unit like skalter, shamare & aak is harder to powercrept

What about module for her?
Her module is a decent chunk of her dps since tier 1 is a flat 10% atk_scale bonus for her skill, tier 3 taker her talent 1 from 160% to 170% and gives an extra base 50 attack. If you're pulling degen then her module is fairly mandatory to maximise her potential killing power.

Looking at this current CC#1, its clear Degen's weakness will be CC...
Indeed, ironically, Degen's biggest advantage over irene and Chen - her auto-recover on S3 - would be a huge liability in current CC when you need to put SP-regen penalty to get >=620 risk

theres games that release limiteds more often. but true. although honestly, most of the time, limiteds appear around 150 pulls anyways
