Hi to Hello Jami and Lester; I missed the live but wanted to be sure to catch the replay. We are in Northeast Georgia and very grateful we had no damage. My heart is with all those, in many states, who are not so fortunate. I have family in Florida and Ohio...i mentioned to them it's not often we get such a large storm it affects all if us in three states. This storm affected so many more people in other states as well. All total we had 13-15", if not more, over a period of three days. Our power was out for about 8 hours. As I said, we are grateful and we pray for all affected, especially those many people who lost loved ones across many states. Thank you for your compassion and prayers for everyone; you are greatly appreciated. ❤❤❤
My cousin lives in the area of Tennessee that has been hit very hard from Helene. He watched large trees come crashing down and they crushed both of his vehicles. He said it happened in the blink of an eye. He has lots of loss. He could use lots of prayer.
Also did y’all know that the Texas Renaissance Festival starts on 10/12/24 through 12/1/24. Lester if you have not taken Jami to the Renaissance Festival she would LOVE IT!!

Catching you late tonight! South Carolina, North Carolina devastation. Especially North West Ashville, NC! Water everywhere! No rivers & lakes south are flooding and people losing everything. 😢 So sad
We live 10 miles inland from Florida's east coast. We live in the flood zone west of US19 which runs north/south along this side of the state and are separated from the coast by a national forest. We stay prayed up, if you know what I mean. During Helene, we had maybe 60 mph winds, but we more concerned about the storm surge. We had no major damage to any of the 300 homes in our 55+ community. Yet a small town was completely flooded 3 miles north during Helene. I'm sure our proximity to the coast helped, but the most important thing that helped us and our community was prayer by friends and family. The best help anyone can give is to pray for those most affected by the storm.
Jami, I so understand the survivors guilt. We live about 30 minutes N of Atlanta and Helene was predicted to hit us as a Cat 1. It ended up going east of us (thank you Jesus). My heart breaks for those effected. Many prayers for all of those who lost loved ones and are suffering.
@Longhorn Lester's Lester Hurricane Harvey was a cat 4 Hurricane it stalled over the top of Houston and surrounding area's in and out of the Houston area. Even down here in Port Arthur TX where it catastrophically flooded us as well with another direct hit as it came straight for us as well as HoustonTX. I got over 4 ft in my apartment when Harvey hit us I stayed and was in my apartment in flood water for over a week and a half. Me and 2 of my neighbors living on both sides of my apartment stayed through that wk and a half in that flood water which you could only get in and out of the entire neighborhood for 3 miles by boat. And even after the waters went down to just the streets still unpassable by car ot trucks only boats could still come in for another 3 or 4 days. I stayed the entire time. I did save my Tahoe from flooding by moving it up on the double sidewalk covered by carport between my building and the building behind mine by putting a potato in the tailpipes of mine and my nephew's trucks so water wouldn't get into the engines.

Guys - get chains and anchors that you can put through the cement pads - in trailer parks - full time parks - most RVs have to be chained down for safety
I live in SC northwest, we had trees down on our fence, large freezer and 2 fridges full of food. We're going on 48 + no power. We're grateful for insurance, and everyone is safe. Unfortunately, 2 firemen lost their lives trying to help others. There are towns in NC wiped out!!!

When my girls were little, I always told them we never had to worry about hurricanes. We live in southwest/southeast Ohio/Indiana. OPPS... then came Ike... I worked for a hotel at the time, and we had a guest from El Paso that said we had it worse here than he had at home. Power outages for over a week. Now Helene, this time we had very high winds and lots of rain.
Anchors are a great idea. Also a cement block space in one of your buildings on a very solid foundation on J & L and LL would protect people from any wind. You must allow the pressure a way to equalize but that would work. On a very positive note, both the properties (not ISS) have a wide variety of topographic shelters. If the animals are allowed to more freely for the storm, they will most likely be fine.
Lester and Jami, my husbands family lives just outside of Boone N. Carolina. We just got home from there spending 2 1/2 months with them. It is devastating to know what has happened since we left 3 weeks ago. We have not been able to reach them because no power, cell phone service, road washed out. We are praying all is well, It is beautiful in the mountains, but they are really impacted with a storm like they just had. Thanks for your prayers.🙏🩷

My heart and prayers are going out to everyone devastated by the hurricane and all the consensual storms that are happening down in the southeast. Since I’ve never been where hurricanes happen I can’t even imagine what they are all going through but my heart is breaking for them.
According to my family in east Tennessee, they get some part of any hurricane that come up from the Gulf. They also have run off from the mountains in the holler (low lying land between the mountains) in heavy rains.
Ok I will put this here again. Amber is of the tree line of Tex and Pearl, Amber the gem is made from petrified tree sap the color of each stone comes from the tree the sap came from. So calling her Amber rode means the is a product of the family tree of Tex and Santana through pearl. So Amber Rose is a very fitting name for her.
Well, hopefully with this new arrival and his little daughter coming into the world, maybe it’ll make him easier to get better. Maybe a lot of that was him given up because he did lose his baby boy okey-dokey maybe that’s what they all needed that little girl to come into the world, hopefully I will still be praying for him to get better each day passes and unfortunately, we have to take one day at a time well God bless and sending prayers always, and that’s just my thought and prayer

Now Helene, this time we had very high winds and lots of rain.
I do feel sorry for them. But like my mom said, always someday. They'll look back on it and laugh God bless them.
What have you put in his coffee, Jami!!!????

Be thankful for all the time with Earnie! He is a survivor!!!!!

Jami, I am from St. Louis, do you remember years ago when there was the big flood in Illinois and they showed a guy on the news pulling a trailer full of exotic birds through the flood water and all of the birds drowned. I was devastated watching that. I can’t imagine everything you guys have gone through over the years with the flooding.
I remember that. I lived in valmeyer.
@@kathyhayes7369they moved the entire town of Valmeyer. That was so sad, but I watched so many houses flow down the water like house version of bumper cars. You were all in our prayers.
@@marykneemiller1818 actually my mom stayed in the old valmeyer. She's still there. It was a choice to move up there or stay my mom decided to stay and we rebuilt. You wouldn't pay me enough to live in valmeyer on the bluffs.
I live in East Tennessee we had wide spread flooding and high winds lots of power outages. A family in a mobile home was washed away. Many prayers for everyone effected. 🙏🙏
Enjoyed your video and I like the name of Amber Rose for your new Longhorn.🥰❤️
My heart and prayers are going out to everyone devastated by the hurricane and all the consensual storms that are happening down in the southeast.
Since I’ve never been where hurricanes happen I can’t even imagine what they are all going through but my heart is breaking for them.
I live in Missouri and we had a lot of rain from the hurricane and still getting some and wind. We do feel some once in a while.
@@barbglueck3118 I am in St Peters MO and we really needed this rain. But we did get more than I expected.
we have whats called hurricane tie downs on our trailer up here in michigan
And of course we are sending our prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
According to my family in east Tennessee, they get some part of any hurricane that come up from the Gulf. They also have run off from the mountains in the holler (low lying land between the mountains) in heavy rains.
My daughter lives in N.C. only got thunderstorms, then sunny weather
I have family in Georgia and Tennessee . sadly we don't talk but I don't wish harm on them I hope they are ok.
We have a family cabin on Norris Lake and it went up 10 feet in a couple hours

We will heal and regrow we're strong Nc. I'll keep praying for the line workers and first responders and for the loss souls.
Ps my area was not supposed to get this hard. This storm had a mind of its own
I would love to help out with both properties!! But I'd have to come from New Hampshire.
