    Lady on couch was super supportive. You felt right at the start how nervous the runner was. Understandable, when you run a game watched by so many persons. Lady was cheering and encouraging him all the time, which was really nice. I hope we see the runner again, pretty sure he will be less nervous next time after seeing that we enjoyed his run. And i also hope Lady will be there next time too.

    Oh yeah. April made this run even better. She's just so chill and encouraging. Heck. I'd love to have her rooting for me in the background of my everyday life LOL. Great run, great runner and great couch. Thanks for this guys :)

    I've played this game countless times, but I had no idea about any of this stuff that was used. Speed running and exploits are typically beyond me, but it was interesting to see all of this new information from such an old game.

    This game was so glitched that even as a kid I did know about some of those glitches xD just happened by casually playing.

      3 years since your comment . Is this game being remade still or is that just a rumor or is the remake already out?
      SpongeBob bfbb is a amazing speedrun gum with huge community and they remade the game recently but took out most speed running tricks and stuff so I’d imagine they would take the speed time methods which are not meant to be there out of the game.

    Question: why was the run done the long way with all the talismans instead of just skipping every level and going straight to the bosses?

      TBF, this run was done at 6AM. They probably aren't the most extroverted people to begin with, but graveyard shifts never help with energy either.
      Oh also, hi Alex! Amazing run!

      Most of us on the couch had to wake up at 4 am (in my case I stayed up the whole night), being tired doesn't really help with showing emotions during a run lol

    New skips ? :o Cool

  • @dshcfh
    @dshcfh 6 років тому +11

    The world record for this game is actually ~8 minutes, but the way you skip that much game is way too inconsistent to use in a marathon, and if you don't get it the entire run is dead. It's kind of like winning a small lottery to complete it that quickly.

    • @Xenonia
      @Xenonia 6 років тому +24

      That's actually another category altogether. You're talking about the record for any%, and this is 14 talisman where the record is 25~ minutes

    • @Dino_Pony
      @Dino_Pony 6 років тому +5

      The hardest tricks are gulp skip and waterfall proxy, and the people who have WR in that category can do those skips very consistently
      but yes as someone else pointed out, thats a different category altogether

    • @weedy517
      @weedy517 6 років тому

      The category you are referring to (any%) was actually in the marathon a few years ago as a bonus incentive
