Hey camodo future video idea put a supercharger on a bike motor
Short explanation why the revs were "stuck": with the two engines, they keep revving beyond the limit to a ridiculous number. However, at some point, the pitch of the sound don't increase, and the game registers it as full throttle. So, when you let off the gas, the revs decrease, but slowly, and as long as the revs stay at max, which they do for a long time, the car accelerates. It's only when the revs audibly go down that it stops gunning it.
10:26 No, it don't. The '58 Fury has a pushbutton transmission. The buttons on the left are for Drive, Neutral, Reverse, 1st, 2nd, and Parking brake. Pretty neat in my opinion, though I prefer levers.

I wonder what happens if you do this to a bus? Also the Bus engines in the game generates up to 208 horsepower, so that makes it to 624 horsepower. The Plymouth Fury V8s generate a combined 864 horsepower while each have 288 hp. And the diesel engines from the truck have 430 hp and the three engines you initially had generated up to 1,290 hp, and the two engine setup had as much as 860 horsepower. So yeah the engines you're using will be a dangerous combination respectively. You can find this information in the Long Drive wiki.

Go with the 3V8 setup. But go find or spawn a pickup and put the motors to the back! 🎉

Multiple engines in the bus (RV). You can fit three or four v8’s in the engine compartment I bet. Just pick them up as you go and maybe you’ll find a few more superchargers haha. Also, you should be allowed to do some changes in the vehicle config because in the wasteland, you are your own mechanic. Making things all-wheel-drive will help alot too.
I have an idea. You should start making really cool cars with the TLD Spawner mod. I think a lot of people will like this.
I like how each video is something like a historical event because over time it becomes a tale... Of how the long drive became a literal endless program ( like a TV show ). Someday we'll be 60 and talking about the long dive.

7:03 that is called a diesel Runaway which is very dangerous in real life because it makes the engine going to the red on RPM because if bypasses the RPM limiter

I'm really enjoying the half sandbox/ half getting to mom's house videos. Why not save the hardcore mode for when the new renderer update comes out? It would be cool to start out vanilla and then add mods as they get ported over or created for the new version!

I think you should do another hard core survival eventually after you have chilled around with this for a month or two
Try the mod with the bus... I am curious to see how the bus would perform.
Also, you need wide tires so you can put more power to the pavement.

more engines more better. only 2 engines causes a glitch where if you hold the gas for 5 secs it takes 5 secs for the rpms to drop back down, hold for a minute the car will continue to accelerate for a minute after you let go. so be very careful if only use 2. and i think you mentioned this but all the engines need the same type of fuel. they don't need to be the same engine though.
All in favor of just having fun along the way, mod for -laughs- Science! and whatnot.
Totally saw the car taking off when the engine was ramped up and suddenly became a 4 wheeler again. Not saying it wasn't humorous though!
Add: I wonder if you can stack radiators for each engine. Hmm...

7:40 maybe u could put like a engine in the back seat or in the front seat ont he passenger side where the feet goes so if u want to use only two engines u can easily disconnect it or if u want to use one engine to slow down and stuff u can also easily disconnect it

get the van ramp truck and stick as many motors as you can to it and put superchargers (or turbochargers) on every motor

Yes, to vehicle configuration, but the only thing you can do is like space off the wheels or like move the wheels back so like you could have more bounce and you might not die
