Lefkara Laces - Before Memory Fades

Lefkara Lace is the most characteristic type of Cypriot laces and since 2009 it has been inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The documentary depicts the long history of Lefkaritika and presents testimonies of lace makers and lace-merchants living in Lefkara, as well as rare photographs, references in newspapers and relevant material from other archives.
The film is a co-production of Anadysis Films Ltd and the Ministry of Education and Culture (Cinema Advisory Committee).
