Put your cynicism and bigotry aside. Listen to those with whom you do not agree. You may find common ground. As a world, we must do this. Open your mind and your heart. Learn about those who are different from you. You don't have to agree with them but you must learn to at least listen to different points of view and try to see the world through other eyes.. we MUST start working together to save our children..our planet..human life. Love to all.
Beautifully said! Regardless of religious or political affiliation, we must all work together to achieve peace. Let us put our differences aside and heed your advice to learn from each other for the sake of our planet.
as a Buddhist practitioner it was just beautiful to see all this different ppl coming together for the common good, peace, love and tolerance, this young ppl signing about peace while holding hands made it an uplifting experience.
Beautiful. My eyes are blurred, I can't see what I'm writing All different religions together. Covid 19 pray, each in their own way for all helping with this illness
YPC is phenomenal. I've enjoyed singing with them at choral music experience at Ithaca College. They are so lucky to do so many cool things like this. Someday I really want to hear them perform live
This song is sung by many different denominations, and was a favorite at several churches and schools during my Childhood. This rendition is excellent.
+Fidel Urrutia You have the most beautiful language in this world. Your parents taught you well what they had learned from your grandparents. You're the most civilized person in this world next to animals.
I couldn't help but think while they were singing this beautiful hymn that they were also singing to all the souls who lost their lives right there 14 years ago - made me very emotional.
+sweetg12651 I also want to respond to those who felt the Pope appeared to be bored - - I got the impression that he was very moved. Don't forget, they were in the bowels of the twin towers. My guess is that he was very moved and didn't feel a smile was appropriate at the time. He most likely was in prayer.
I'll never forget the solemn vow The Promise,... To take each moment, and love each moment ,On PEACE. ETERNALLY, Let There Be PEACE and Let it Begin with WE .
The Creator has blessed us with the presence of Pope Francis...the day of the Trade Center horror i was living in Wheat Ridge Colorado...my friend Brenda called me and said turn on the TV..there something happening in NYC. I never worked in the twin towers but did work as a corporate travel agent nearby. I always remember that date and the courage and bravery of the first responders
We need a world of peace and jut listening to the voices of thee talented children. They are the example of peace. There's no black or white there is family of all different raes creeds religion I have autism and I'm also nonverbal I am a creator o peace
religion does not cause wars. powerful and selfish leaders cause wars. they use the fact that we call our God by different names to exploit and divide. so that they can keep their power over us all. i am amazed at the hatefullness i have read on this page. on a song that is sweet and loving and filled with only the very best of human aspirations.
+margietalk Then religious texts don't cause terrorist groups to rise. I agree with you though on this song. To achieve world peace will be hard with Republicans and more... :(
ALL, HONOR, PRAISE, PEACE, POWER, HOLY MIGHT, LOVE, BLESSING, GRACE AND GLORY TO OUR MOST PERFECT HOLY HIGH GOD JEHOVAH AND HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON YESHUA HA- MASHIACH, JN3:16-19 AMEN!
Beautiful, and perfectly done. Should be blasted in our Government's ears for all those special safety and public employees that are still dying from 911.
+Tones Smeric - I looked that up. I read that Microsoft omitted the reference to God in one of its downloadable version, but also offers the original version. Another article explained that the lyrics were edited for a non-genderized version, but didn't specify who did that, or when. Predictably, the comments section of these articles were rife with less than harmonious opinions about the changes. So, apparently peace doesn't begin there. lol
I dislike the fact that they changed "God as our father" to "God as creator" like right in front of the pope. I get that you want to include other religions but that doesn't mean you have to change the meaning of the song.
I don't like that changed the lyrics from "with God as our father brothers all are we" to God our creator family all are we" I get the original wasn't "inclusive" but regardless still a beautiful song. I just don't like the social police butchering songs that have been arround for a century.
I hate this that they changed the words to the song! Got rid of God our Father! And didn't say Walk with our Brother! God forbid they use the real words written and Jesus himself told us to pray to God the FATHER!
+Elizabeth Warynick They changed the words because it's a multi-faith event. Since it's a multi-faith event, there are many religious attending who suffer a natural faith. They could have taken it a step further and said what they actually believe -- "With God our Creator, creatures all are we. Let us crawl with each other, satisfactorily." -- but even those who suffer a natural faith don't want their faith to be completely without romance. We of supernatural faith believe that all TRUTH that could ever be said of the Creator God, all GOOD that could ever be thought of the Creator God, and all BEAUTY that could ever be imagined of the Creator God, became MAN. Any thought or vision of God, even by the most enlightened and best practiced of the naturally faithful, is but a vain grasp in Christ's direction. He came, and He taught us to know God as Father. So, I understand your frustration... but until they know Christ, it's sufficient for them to know God as Creator, and themselves as creatures.
+Elizabeth Warynick Actually the original Hebrew word that the Church Fathers chose to translate as "Our Father" in the Lord's prayer, doesn't use gender. That was something the male translators did. The Hebrew phrase is "Parent of us all", not "Our Father". You can look it up in Strong's Concordance for yourself.
Do you mean Greek, in the case of the Church Fathers? Do you mean "Abba", in the case of Christ's Aramaic? You're kidding. Also, James Strong published this thing you're talking about in the US, in 1890, while steeped in and motivated by the faith of his time and place. Methodism was very 19th-century-American, especially in 19th-century America, and it certainly didn't give Strong any sense of correct historical perspective. Nobody serious about languages or history, nobody the least bit interested in correct scholarship, would lean on Strong's Concordance for its insights into the Aramaic, Hebrew, or Greek lauguages. Of course Christians know God as Father.
Beautiful song but why is this being sung in some underground crypt? Its mad creepy and only pay honor to the worship of death as opposed to our Lord Jesus Christ the giver of life...Then again the Catholic Church has sold Jesus to other religions as just one of many gods ...The church is in eclipse as predicted and Pope Francis did not look pleased but miserable throughout the performance.
because of this and the visit by Pope Francis I am going back to church... that choir absolutely moved me... mark...
Wow, that's wonderful.
Amen, Come who are wearing and I will give you Rest.
+Mark Floding God bless you!
Amen
Mark Floding ahhh Mark. Welcome home. Come home to our Father. We are brother and sister and I wish you many graces.
I remember the first time this song was sung at Mass. I cried the entire time. It spoke to me in a profound way. Peace begins in our own heart.
I am algerian non-believer,,, and I always loved christian song and jesus teaching
I learn this song in elementary school. I love this song, I'm 69 years old and still hold a place in my heart 💜❤️
Me too. If ever there is a song to sing in unity in the world today, this is it! 2024, God help us all!

Four years ago you made this comment...intolerance has gotten much worse..
Thank you Beth.
The common ground is Jesus and repentance. Period.
@@katies.8555 No not regardless. Jesus. Thou shalt we worship NO GOD but me! Not Buddha. Not Mohammed. Not a cow.

Brought tears to my eyes watching it live on television today. If only ...
beautiful song, brings tears to my eyes every time every time
In addition to the beauty of the song by the choir,it's amazing to see all of those religious leaders gathered from around the world for God.
Tears from the beautiful voices. Tears from the very idea of peace of earth...in our children's lifetime? Grandchildren's?
The World got a little better today!
I think you are right Billy, I think you're right!!!!!!!!
Billy Alba Your right
Billy Alba Yes, it did🌻
This exquisite performance brought me to tears in a good way.
we are doing this song in chorus and it sounds so beautiful

Tears. Truth. Peace.
Devastating. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
This song is sung by many different denominations, and was a favorite at several churches and schools during my Childhood. This rendition is excellent.
This is something that everyone could benefit seeing and hearing and what Facebook can do.
Beautiful voices and faces full of hope. God bless all.
Just beautiful!
CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUTH & THEIR TEACHERS!
This is a very powerful moment. God Bless the world when all religions can work out their differences. GOD BLESS OUR BELOVED USA.
God helps those who help themselves. We won't have peace in America until we get serious about controlling access to guns.
+Moshe Rabbeinu I agree
+Fidel Urrutia You have the most beautiful language in this world. Your parents taught you well what they had learned from your grandparents. You're the most civilized person in this world next to animals.

+G-Ma Of8 -- Thanks.... It feels like it was done to de-masculinize the song....but this hymn is beautiful in it's original form imo.
his favorites song for pope Francis and 9 11 memorial
❤❤❤😔😔😔
I hate that the first few bars of this are cut off...Wish there were a full recording...Nice job otherwise!

Something that we badly need now! Another bloody war has just broke out.😫
I dislike the fact that they changed "God as our father" to "God as creator" like right in front of the pope. I get that you want to include other religions but that doesn't mean you have to change the meaning of the song.
Prophetic.. as of nov.13.2015

Agree.
so the christian God now accepts that there are other Gods?
MOVED CUZ THE WORDS WERE CHANGED ...
Too bad the song wasn't from the very beginning
Reading the Bible to a meeting at this date. By reading the Bible?
Sad that they politically corrected the words.
Lame that they had to be PC and alter the lyrics.
🎆❤️🎆❤️🎆❤️🎆❤️
Moving.
So sad 2 be a TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC IN THIS MODERNIST MADNESS
I hate this that they changed the words to the song! Got rid of God our Father! And didn't say Walk with our Brother! God forbid they use the real words written and Jesus himself told us to pray to God the FATHER!
