Guys, I have been beating the crap out of these guys - essentially not caring about what they look like anymore. I'll post the final update to this trilogy at the end of August so that you guys can see a pair of worn to hell CP's
Dats d beauty off d shoes after a while it will turn yellow dats another look they are beautiful I will get myself one the way I take care off my shoes ah common projects will last me yearsssssss trust me after every wear I stuff my shoes snd reshape it I. Will get my $$ worth
I could never afford these but found a pair at thrift store for 5 bucks , I washed them with soap and magic white eraser and and they came up really white . I will wear the shit out of them because they were so cheap !
Common projects is over rated, look at the eyelets got only six eyelets those little too far apart that’s why creasing so easily, they said the brand is luxury because they want to sell that price , I know is not worth it to pay $410.00 , think before making purchase.
Then you realized that you got scammed by it's labeled "luxury/premium" ~If you've seen rose anvil video So happy i didn't opt to this, and went for koio instead, my suspicions is def correct
They're still amazing shoes for $200 - $300 if you can find them on sale but you are paying an extra $100 for the name. Rose Anvil didn't say they're trash just overpriced. They're better than Koio if you have the money.
@@itsajokecalmdown style/looks are up to individual's preference and for me koio and cps are almost looks the same, especially when you tie the shoe at the same pattern(my cousin has cps so i compared both) the quality of leather and construction, and value for the price is what made me chose the koio but If u want something to be exactly look like cps without sacrificing the quality, just opt for the artisan lab, it has 0 branding and with a full grain leather. For me the quality of cps is trash once you compared it to other existing brands with >50% less of the price. Artisan lab retails for $135 and how can you say they're an amazing shoe even for $200-300?
So why are you here to tell us not to buy the shoe? We are buying ,we watched the vedios we pay for the brand ,we know what we are getting,go comment in your Koio vedios it's ok
I think they can definitely be worn for a few years - just depends on how you treat them. These are pretty expensive so I can only imagine how much you trashed them in 6 months. I feel like it just depends on a person to person basis and how someone uses their shoes.
I mean they are white sneakers and if they are your main pair they get filthy plus show wear as expected. I now have grays and tans to add into the rotation. Way too many of my friends have the whites and they dont look the best either. i guess you're a rarer case, which is a good thing
like how snug is it allowed before it can be dangerous because size 40 (im a size 41 us normal) size 40 arcille low is making my toes get much closer that all my other shoes they are really snug, what should i do?
my Achilles has been through 8 countries (Or more, I lost count). It's my go-to shoe. It's a bit beat up now but I don't see myself purchasing one anytime soon. Definitely my favorite shoe of all time.
As of lately, I've gotten out of the habit of babying my shoes so I've been wearing mine out for short hikes, through mud and light rain and honestly, it's held up really well. It's looking a little more worn than I would like so maybe in 2018 I'll get another pair if there's a good enough sale. Glad you liked the shoes and the video!
These are 100% worth the money in my opinion. My CPs have been with me across the world multiple times and have held up remarkably well. I had to order another pair! Great review.
Had mine for about a year also - I feel like these beauties get better with age and still so comfortable to wear. Timeless classic and definitely worth the money. Nice Review :)
I cleaned mine almost every other wear so I think that contributed to how clean they looked 1 year. Also, at around this point, I was still more or less babying the shoes so that's why they still look so good. I've heard 40cream works well on yeezy soles to fix yellowing but I don't know if that carries over to this sole type
I always use the 'Ian Knot' to tie my shoes! It takes like 3 minutes to learn and its literally like 2 seconds to tie your shoes! Check it out, its a good read.
Hey Kyle I just got mine and I do have room in the roe box but they are a bit tight on the sides. Will they stretch out with wear? And do you think they are a comfortable shoe? Thanks.
Hey, Faisal. So I sized down 1 whole size from my TTS. I am a TTS 9 (42) and I got an 8 (41) with these. They were a little tight out of the box but after some wears, the leather finally conformed to my feet. After well over 100 wears they are now perfect. I hope that helped!
Sick vid. In regard to the shoe, how often did you clean them? Because they look really good still. And what was your day to day wear on the shoes? Thanks and please keep making vids, they have a good vibe and are really informative.
Hey, thanks for the support! For day to day wear, I kind of got over babying them as much since at the end of the day, they're just shoes. Don't get me wrong, I still won't take them to festivals, or walk through mud, or wear them during the rain - but other than that, they'll get just as used and abused as any other pair in my rotation. For cleaning, I haven't washed the laces at all so they're still grimy from all the wear. But for the leather, after I come home I just take a damp piece of paper tower and do a quick wipe to get some superficial stuff off. And then at the end of the week I would just take one of my quick wipes from JM and go over them.
what is the correct way to lace it? i'm getting mine in two days and have been looking for the correct way to lace them , someone mentioned sawtooth lacing?
That's a great point, haha. Regardless, this is a very informative review, and your videos are actually one of the main reasons that I ended up purchasing Common Projects. Keep doing what you do.
I don't know the exact measurement but my toes are perfectly conformed to the toebox with room to wiggle while still being snug enough - if that helps. As far as them being points, I don't think so at all. If anything everything else that tries to mimic the CP look is way too bulbous.
Yeah, I've read up on Gustin. I like the idea of no middleman being in the way of prices, but I can't wrap my head around the long turnaround time it takes to get your product. I personally prefer Common Projects even though I've seen some comparisons where the Gustin shoe is basically the same, and like you said, at a much cheaper price point. However, at the end of the day, it's a copycat of this shoe and that speaks volumes as to how good CPs are.

Kyle Tam looking forward to it!
Hi, have you post the video ?
hello Kyle, can you tell me about the sizing? some say to lower down.
Dats d beauty off d shoes after a while it will turn yellow dats another look they are beautiful I will get myself one the way I take care off my shoes ah common projects will last me yearsssssss trust me after every wear I stuff my shoes snd reshape it I. Will get my $$ worth
People mistaking plastic coated leather for quality is the pinnacle of ignorance.
lol I've had a pair for almost 4 years now, they still look mint.
That's what I'm saying - the quality on these guys are insane!
MeltedSundae how much have you worn them?
Same. got 4 pairs now.
I could never afford these but found a pair at thrift store for 5 bucks , I washed them with soap and magic white eraser and and they came up really white . I will wear the shit out of them because they were so cheap !
1 year old shoes that are thoroughly cleaned on resell websites be like:
9.9/10 condition
only worn twice
Bro don’t forget “gently used” and I swear they just came out of a skater’s foot.

You’ve messed up the heel with those horrible shoe trees.
Mine were trashed In 6 months. Cleaned them best I could but significant wear on heel. Definitely aren’t meant to last years unless barely worn
I think they can definitely be worn for a few years - just depends on how you treat them. These are pretty expensive so I can only imagine how much you trashed them in 6 months. I feel like it just depends on a person to person basis and how someone uses their shoes.

Planning to purchase a pair. Should I consider sizing down?
dexter austria Yes, 1 size down. Definitely.
They still look new I have to buy some now, buying these and a watch after I get my job
Now that you been owning them for a while. How’s the oxidation on the sole?
Oxidation on the sole is holding up really well. Go check out my final review on these to see a better look!
These are 100% worth the money in my opinion. My CPs have been with me across the world multiple times and have held up remarkably well. I had to order another pair! Great review.

Yeah, I can't wait to see what the 2 year mark will look like for these guys! Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback!
how to keep the sole whiter? ive tried everything. mine are extremely yellow from 2012.
So it is definitely better to choose shoes that were stitched from the sole?
Yeah it just makes it resist wear and tear better since it will help prevent the splitting of the upper from the sole.
hey can you please make a vid showing how to tie the knots like that ? so the cirlce ends go up and down the tongue rather to the sides. thanks
I always use the 'Ian Knot' to tie my shoes! It takes like 3 minutes to learn and its literally like 2 seconds to tie your shoes! Check it out, its a good read.
thank you for the response but every video i saw only shows the knot sitting horizontally as opposed to vertically :/
It may be because I am left handed so I lead the knot with my left hand.
have you worn these in bad weather like rain?
Hey Kyle I just got mine and I do have room in the roe box but they are a bit tight on the sides. Will they stretch out with wear? And do you think they are a comfortable shoe? Thanks.
Hey, Faisal. So I sized down 1 whole size from my TTS. I am a TTS 9 (42) and I got an 8 (41) with these. They were a little tight out of the box but after some wears, the leather finally conformed to my feet. After well over 100 wears they are now perfect. I hope that helped!
Nice review but your shoe tree is very bad she gonna ruin your shoes with the narrow tension !
What was the website you mentioned?
keeping them factory laced makes the 'wear' uneven on the shoe
That may be true, but I prefer the stock lacing that the shoes ship with - it just looks more clean.
You are tying your knots wrong
What kind of shoe tree are you using for those?
They're the Woodlore ones! I just took of the logo because it is just attached with a simple screw.
What's the size of your woodlore shoe tree? Is it an S? Thanks
sick vid man, do the soles have much grip?
Thank you! The soles are pretty normal show wise. They're more grippy than regular tennis shoes but less grippy than a good pair of boots.
Sick vid. In regard to the shoe, how often did you clean them? Because they look really good still. And what was your day to day wear on the shoes? Thanks and please keep making vids, they have a good vibe and are really informative.

where did you get that shoe tree
How much is this?
Lol still wouldn’t pay $400 for these
still laced for display, the wear isnt evenly distributed
what is the correct way to lace it? i'm getting mine in two days and have been looking for the correct way to lace them , someone mentioned sawtooth lacing?
great video ! u take very good care of them too ,Complementi !
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Hey mate, how often were wearing them per week throughout the year?
I was lucky enough to find my pair second hand for 60 Euro. 😎
Gross
Kyle any chance you could do a shoe collection video? :D
That may be my next video after the finale to this Achilles series!
Dude said "with regard to" 8 times
I think it's definitely better than the other UA-camrs who do a 3 minutes intro before jumping straight into the review
That's a great point, haha. Regardless, this is a very informative review, and your videos are actually one of the main reasons that I ended up purchasing Common Projects. Keep doing what you do.
Did you ever check out Greats Royals sneakers? Very similar styling and made with Italian leather for $169.00 plus they have other styles.
RK 516 Greats are really well made and feel like quality. I believe both my pairs will last years
Good vid. Informative
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Karl :)
1:17 onwards there's some insect on the right interior side of your shoe.
Haha, just saw that. It's actually just some fuzz from my sock.
Damn one year!?!1 mine looks like that after 2 wears 😁😂😁
how far is your toe away from the end- they seem pointy
I don't know the exact measurement but my toes are perfectly conformed to the toebox with room to wiggle while still being snug enough - if that helps.
As far as them being points, I don't think so at all. If anything everything else that tries to mimic the CP look is way too bulbous.
are your shoes true to size? or do you go 1 size down? because i buyed one 1 size down and i didnt have room to wiggle
Look at Gustins. They are literally the exact same shoe minus the gold stamp on the back for $150
Yeah, I've read up on Gustin. I like the idea of no middleman being in the way of prices, but I can't wrap my head around the long turnaround time it takes to get your product.
