Dunkleosteus is something i didn't expect at all and honestly one hell of a unique creature compared to what we have currently. Love this DLC just because of the Dunk and Arch
I see a special kill animation for the Dunkle and the Archelon. Other marine predators being unable to bite through the shell but with the Dunkle’s bone jaw being able to crush it.
Archelon isn't really surprising, it's a highly requested fan favorite reptile so it NOT being added would be more surprising. If anything dunkleosteus is way more unexpected since it's our first ever fish and Devonian species
I've been having a really bad bout of anxiety recently and nothing has seemed quite right. And when this pack was announced, I found myself strangely unimpressed and disappointed and I didn't know why - usually I'm hyped out of my mind for this game. But now I've watched your video with your usual excited manner, I feel a lot happier about it and even feel a little better in myself, so thank you :) That being said, I have to admit, I am genuinely surprised by Dunkleosteus - anxiety or not - I did not see that coming at all!
I'm sorry things have been rough, hope they turn around and this pack can help a little! Lagoon packs don't seem too exciting but there's some great variety here at least
With the archelon and the nothrosaurus, I expect that it’ll be able to sleep or rest on the rock pillar or escape from the hunters of the lagoon. I’m very excited
I feel like a lagoon/aviary combination could be fun, basically just a lagoon with a dome overhead, and have the fliers requiring a few islands here and there
It's cool we finally get to have land attraction for the marine reptiles. I'm hoping we could get more amphibious dinosaurs like Hesperornis, Allodesmus, Pakicetus, Brontoscorpio, Atopodentatus, and Kumimanu. And also, i'm sure the aquatic reptiles can bite through the Archelon's shell like how a tiger shark takes down a sea turtle.
I was gonna be like: "I'm not so sure about Allodesmus" but then I googled it and it was a prehistoric seal relative not some obscure paleozoic marine arthropod or millipede. I could possibly see all of these in game but I'm not very confident on all of them.
But, the Kumimanu can be the prey to the Allodesmus which i'm hoping to see in Netflix's Life On Our Planet. 'Cause, yeah, the Allodesmus preyed on the Kumimanu like the leopard seal preyed on penguins.
A point I’d like to throw out about the update. I would really appreciate it if the made the sand box option for dino vs guest hostility have options for only affecting specific sizes of dinosaurs, or at least an option for certain herbivores, like Gallimimus for instance, to not frighten guests when loose around them. Then being able to make open areas that guests can walk through.
wish they went for the modern megalodon level macro predator understanding of Shonisaurus instead of the old played out peaceful whale one, because that would allow them to make a lot more interesting animations, but it's nice that we got it at all
As tiny a detail it would be, it would've been nice to have some oceanic paintings or posters inside the underwater dome to help make it look less bland. Love the marine love tho
The viewing dome looks awesome. I wish we could walk around them in full first person view, without just relying on fixed camera angles. For the log gallery, they made a real point about smaller creatures being able to run under it. If there's a glass floor here, then maybe we could see Icthy or Archelon gliding underneath it. Maybe like a set animation, whereby they could rotate under it. And I'm with you - I would still love a sub tour. OR an official boat tour, which could be a reskin of the jeep tour. Maybe if Kai creates it Frontier will follow :D

Hey BIS, potential cool video idea: at the end of JWE2’s life cycle (whenever it is), perhaps you could do a reflection video of the JWE franchise. I know the JWE franchise has been a huge part of your channel and is how most of your subscribers found you. Every time I think I’m a true fan of prehistoric species, a new pack releases and shows me something everyone but me knows of. Jokes aside, I love everything in this pack! Especially the archelon because of how unique it is compared to every other creature in the game!
Would be be cool If one of the fully aquatics could snatch an archelon off the rock. This looks like a great time to dive back into the game also really excited about the Dunk
kinda interesting, archelon would be the only marine animal in the game that is an herbivore. maybe we'll also see a new feeder for them? maybe a feeding show style thing like the shark feeder, where a bunch of lettuce drops from a machine on top of the water and the archelon come up and munch at it.
What this makes me hopeful for is that we'll get foliage brushes for lagoons, since all other herbivores in the game don't feed from feeders. Perhaps sea grass for food and kelp as a replacement for forest? I dunno, but my fingers are crossed this is a thing in tomorrow's update info
@observingeye9579 These text blurbs have not always lined up with what appears in game, espec8ally concerning diet. While definitely possible as it is tge easier solution for them, it would not surprise me if Frontier wraps this into a lagoon foliage brush either. I give it a 50/50 chance
@@jasonbenfield1484in real life sea turtles eat everything from seagrass to sponges to jellyfish but fish are pretty realistic and don't require new features. Maybe if a kelp brush was introduced they could eat that as well as fish.
So interesting fact on why the creatures don't attack each other. Because there was such a few amount of aquatic creatures they labeled them under Small, medium or large not by name. Since they are labeled under that if a specific species likes a certain size they won't attack them at all. You can take advantage of this challenge mode. they will attack the other species if there feeder requirement isn't fufilled.
Sad that they still refuse to let us have marines and terrestrial creatures sharing the same exhibit. With the turtles and Nothosorus I thought we had a chance to be able to have a lagoon with marine creatures in a normal enclosure where the Dinos would drink in the shores of that lagoon.
Hope we get some great mods of an Enhydriodon and maybe Sarcosuchus as mods using the Nothosaurus rig. Edit: Maybe we could also see a Leedsycthys mod for Shonisaurus rig? Just a thought
Enhydriodon is almost completely terrestrial though. The only reason for it to use Nothosaurus is that they're otters but they're terrestrial macropredators. Dimetrodon would work better in my opinion.
I thought you were excited for season 5 of camp cretaceous? It gets a little weird with the dinosaur controlling aspect but it did tie in to the movies. I just remember watching your videos for updates and deep dives into the show and jurassic park lore
At the start of the trailer, in the guest section just right and below the innovation centre- is that a new large planter/fountain??? Havent seen it before?
13:52 if guests don't get scared then a good gateway for those petting zoos would be the jurassic park one cause it doesn't allow dinosaurs to walk through but it does allow people to walk through.
I hope the small island is actually part of the free update, because unless they plan to never ever have any semi-aquatic animal again they're gonna have to reuse it
This is so cool. I think we ate truly complete in the aquatic species library. I still want my croc 🐊 but it should be land, i dont them in lagoos, too big of a body of water.
Who wants to bet that the next pack will focus on flying species? I'd like to see Hatzegopteryx and Tupandactylus. However, with what they're doing with this pack, it opens up some more possibilities. Like Hesperornis, even though it's not a flying species. Of course, the only four-animal roster they do would get me nervous because there are many from Asia, I still want to see like Protoceratops, Psittacosaurus, Rajasaurus, Mononykus, Gigantoraptor. Would love a South America Pack.
At 10:10, I think that you meant to say that Dimorphodon should use the insect feeder, not Dimetrodon! XD I'm a DLC completionist, so I'll definitely be buying this at least soon after release.
I'm guessing nothosaurus can get on the platform as well. Get ready for modders to have a field day with this. crocs, turtles, I can see them using these new creature rigs for LOADS of stuff.
I was thinking. The tail in the little teaser doesn't match the dunkleosteus or anything else, and the way the thing moves looks like a shark, and so does the general shape. What do you think?
I think, in the future, a good addition to the lagoons would be the Titanaboa. It existed just after the dinosaurs went extinct and all it essentially was was an apex-predator stuck in an amazingly large snake's body. It could use either the shark feeder like the Mossasaurus or just the normal feeder. Either way, it would be an exciting edition.
I like the variety in this pack. All of the animals are included are unique species and not another representation of Plesiosauria, like what we've been getting in the other DLC packs. Shonisaurus is the least unique, being the second representation of Ichthyosaur in the game, but another ichthyosaur was something that's been on my wishlist for the game, so I'm not complaining. Archelon is another of my wishlist species, and a turtle and semi-aquatic. It'll be interesting to see more of the island being used. Nothosaurus another semi-aquatic, like Archelon, and based on the JW:CC Nothosaurus. Dunkleosteus, the most unique of the species in the pack, it's the games first fish.
I'm really excited that Nothosaurus is coming in the dlc pack. I wonder if Tarbosaurus and Microceratus will come in the Asia Dinosaur pack. I also think that Spinoceratops will appear in the possible Hybrid Dinosaur dlc pack. Tarbosaurus, Microceratus and Spinoceratops are the only creatures left to add from the film canon. But Frontier had confirmed that there will be no prehistoric mammals like the Saber-Toothed Tiger and the Woolly Mammoth in the game. Dimetrodon and Lystrosaurus may be related to mammals, but still they're not actual mammals. Now there are going to be 3 paleozoic creatures in the game which are Dimetrodon, Lystrosaurus and Dunklosteus.
Hell yeh. I really wasn't expecting Nothosaurus. And Dunkelosteus is way older than I expected them to go, and finally a fish..... but I'd have preferred Orthocone for a Proterozoic species ngl lol. I just want a monster cephalopod man 😂 That or Helicoprion. The archelon looks gorgeous though. And finally, a big icthyosaur. Oh, and given we've got a marine pack with an animal from a completely new time period, and one of the remaining CC creatures... I'm honestly expecting the next pack to maybe be Cenozoic, with CC's smilodon.
@@Doomguyhunter1 Im aware, but most people understand what Im referring to when I use that term. The animal Im referring to being Endoceras, the owner of said shell
Just to clarify, the article that resized the Dunkleosteus simply used a different model to calculate the length of the animal, as we only have its cephalic shield, and so far it is only a different approach, not necessarily the best. As the article in question has only just come out, the debate is still ongoing, so rather than a discovery it is simply an hypothesis.
I'm guessing that'd have Smilodon _(assuming there is no second Camp Cretaceous DLC, if there is then maybe a terror bird could be added)_ the Woolly Mammoth and Megalodon for the lagoons. Maybe Argentavis for the aviaries?
Finally we have a fish in the lagoons. Sure, there were the tuna, but they aren't attractions, just food sources. Now we have a fish to provide appeal and show off to the public.
If the toggling dinosaur hostility on and off removes guests running from them, I’m having Homalocephale or Sinosauropteryx flying free in every one of my parks after the update
I’m pretty excited and I think this pack will be awesome but there’s some aspects I’m disappointed by. Firstly no Megalodon, which I was really hoping for but I guess not, personally I think Cenozoic animals are on the table for JWE2 considering that Smilodon appeared in Camp Cretaceous and with this DLC we are getting the game’s first not reptile in the form of Dunkleosteus. Personally I think Frontier should make a Cenozoic pack with Megalodon, Smilodon, Phorusrhacas (or some other terror bird) and Daeodon. I don’t think we’ll get a mammoth as Frontier is picking animals that would make sense in a variety of environments while a mammoth would only make sense in the taiga. So unless Frontier is adding biodomes or some from of biome alteration I don’t see mammoths on the horizon. Secondly I personally hoped for a big expansion with new maps building themes and campaign rather than just a species pack. Perhaps a theme that’s aquatic like coastal town themed buildings and maybe a campaign relating to sea life like catching the mosasaurus
Just a theory but maybe in the future they will have different sized rock platforms for different size creatures also I think maybe that some of the old creatures will be able to get on the platforms
@@Doomguyhunter1 oh yea sorry and I didn't mean that they lived in the same time (I know that they are from carboniferous) just suggesting that we are getting creatures from older time periods
I have a feeling that if we are going to get a story driven pack it will most likely be this holiday season. My hope is one more dinosaur pack then a story driven dlc. Hopefully they would end it with some interesting DLC packs such as mammal pack for example next year and just add some minor things maybe two packs? A Cambrian and then Cenozoic?
I suspect that the "hostility" setting will still drop your park rating when dinosaurs get out, but will spare you lawsuits as a result of guest injuries/deaths.
Personally I think they'll have a Cenozoic creatures pack with Megalodon in along with mammuthus, smilodon and maybe a terror bird like kelenken or phorusrhacos

An orthocone is a type of shell, not an animal.
True, I should have phrased it differently - I just love round dunk
Wait does semi aquatics mean the possibility of lagoon escapes!?
Dunkleosteus is now the oldest ingame creature among with herrerasaurus. Hopefully they make an cenozoic species dlc
I'm guessing that'd have Smilodon _(assuming there is no second Camp Cretaceous DLC, if there is then maybe a terror bird could be added)_ the Woolly Mammoth and Megalodon for the lagoons. Maybe Argentavis for the aviaries?
Dimetrodon?
@@awesomeproductions7755 perhaps. Although the meg and agentavis are optional as there are other famous cenozoic creatures so we have to wait and see
@@CW-po4bx dimetrodon as well
4:13 I thought it was coming out this month?
Probably a mistake
you can also turn off hunger and the rex wont eat guests either so i think you misunderstood the meaning of the hostility settings
Interesting pose for the archelon as the pack logo but still very excited for it
Finally we have a fish in the lagoons.
I think the bird your thinking of when you see the shoni is the Emperor Penguin
Perhaps megalodon could be in a cenozoic pack.
I honestly prefer this selection of creatures for this pack. Meg would be cool but I prefer these.
I am not mad about no meg, with the floating island, it opened a door for more semi aquatics like deinosuchus
4:13 you said October instead of august
you forgot to mention there's a bioluminescent skin coming for Notho
Just a theory but maybe in the future they will have different sized rock platforms for different size creatures also I think maybe that some of the old creatures will be able to get on the platforms
the notho feels like a sea lion if im honest, it would make a zoo themed park that much cooler
Archelon for the win!!
Now that we have a permian creature, what is blocking us from getting some insects? (I really do like my pulmonoscorpion)
Dunk is from the devonian, not the permian. And anyways the big insects lived in the carboniferous.
@@Doomguyhunter1 oh yea sorry and I didn't mean that they lived in the same time (I know that they are from carboniferous) just suggesting that we are getting creatures from older time periods
@@moobley_269 yeah agreed, also you're already based for liking my dear pulmonoscorpius.
I was waiting for Nothosaurus to get in the game
I suspect that the "hostility" setting will still drop your park rating when dinosaurs get out, but will spare you lawsuits as a result of guest injuries/deaths.
You really gotta wonder what the rails outside the underwater viewing dome are for.
Think about it.
Fish with arms
Fantastic DLC and choices for the marine reptiles pack but...I can't stop thinking Megalodon has yet to make its entrance 🐟😁👍👍🤔👨👍
Do you think will get any more big DLC releases for this game or no? I feel like the first game had 3. This games only had w thus far
Dunk-ul is right. Named after a guy whose last name was Dunkle
With the introduction of the Dunkleosteus, msybe we'll get other big fish like Xiphactinus and megalodon
I lovevthis update though I'm disappointed you didn't mention the sunken boat.
I can see modding archelon with seals 😂🎉
Can the notho go on land so we can put it on the land or no
I hope we get more in update 7
Personally I think they'll have a Cenozoic creatures pack with Megalodon in along with mammuthus, smilodon and maybe a terror bird like kelenken or phorusrhacos
If the Archelon doesn’t get a jellyfish feeder, I’m rioting.
In all seriousness, this is already my favorite DLC pack across both JWE and JWE2.
Shoni face reminds me of a puffin
I hope that We get a second feathered species pack with Ornithomimus, Austroraptor, Mononykus and Hesperornis.
Is the package free on the device ps4??
No you have to buy the animals
No, dlcs are paid
looks like prehistoric seaworld
